Local Italian fine dining serving up a 5 star experience every and any time you go. Prior to the COVID pandemic [2020/21] I was able to pop into this location a couple times, whether for a restaurant week special barside or with family for a birthday dinner. Each time satisfied the tastebuds to always walk away wanting to go back and try some more of their menu. Most know that the pandemic did a number on local small businesses, with many struggling to survive. I was very happy to see as things started coming back to our new normal, this local gem survived through it all. They now are still offering the outdoor [heated] dining tent [all year round it seems] since the capacity and social distancing went into effect to get all local restaurant businesses back up and running, if you wish to still dine in that manner. It's a new year 2022 and I just had to get back in to see where they were at with their diverse menu that i remembered. I was not let down one bit from beginning to end of an exquisite meal noting that that menu seemed to be expanded, total bonus, all the traditional Italian fan favorites and more delicately plated and presented to perfection! Started this chilly February evening with my guy at the bar having a Gimlet and Courvoisier VS Cognac as we waited for the table we reserved. Once seated we heard the chefs daily specials which all sounded fabulous...so of course had to personally temp my tastebuds with a few. Started of with their seafood avocado mango appetizer and the chefs Cauliflower Lobster soup of the day. Both were nicely presented and tasted great, although a little more sizable Lobster pieces of course would have made it that much better ;) What can I say I'm a seafood lover, so maybe l weigh on the side of never enough. :) I followed that up by selecting the Pistachio crusted Swordfish over a dijon creme sauce with mashed potatoes and spinach chefs entree special. This fish was so masterfully cooked to perfection, softly curling into the fork with such ease, I enjoyed every last bite! My guy opted a more traditional veal entree and ordered their Vitello Alla Saltimbocca. He raved cooked nicely with great flavor throughout, not one piece left behind or lost their either, well except for the bite I tried. ;) We couldn't stop their and nor should anyone, as one of any of their dessert selections to indulge in solo or shared is highly recommended, coupled with a Cappuccino and dessert liquor of course. We selected their Cheesecake and Apple pie and shared across sipping our Cappuccinos [w/Disaronno & Kahlua liqueurs]. Overall a fabulous welcome for my guys first time there, as he has been dying to try IL Luogo out for some time, and a more marvelous, mouthwatering return for this foodie ;) Nothing like closing out the night for all in style. I will be back for sure and highly recommend to even the pickiest palettes to definitely dine here and repeat...You won't be disappointed.

Not my first time here but there was just so much going on around me that it was difficult to focus on the food portion of the visit. Street parking was fairly easy here and just a short walk back to the restaurant. In the middle of this vibrant restaurant with people speaking, laughing and really enjoying themselves, I get to give a speech. The funny part here was that when I got up to speak, someone having dinner gets up and says: "I know you." Appetizers came out family style. Calamari, salad, and pasta. All very good and very fresh. The serving staff did a great job supporting this large crowd. I also appreciate that what needed to be hot, was hot and what needed to be cool was just that. My main meal consisted of Chicken Francaise which was excellent. Thin tatsy-fresh pieces of chicken with a very tasty francaise sauce. PLenty of food here... No one goes home hungry. Happy to come here, very happy to eat hear and enjoy myself in a very fun family restaurant. The team did an amazing job here and needs to be recognized for all their hard work. Let me start out by saying, my…read moreonly criticism of the place is that the food is so damned good here that I tend to over-order and over-eat. Every time I'm there, I go in with the thought "THIS time I'm going to control myself". And then I do it again...., It's the only place remaining that I can't control my eating! The food is delicious, no matter what I order: meat, fish, appetizers. I could swear the air tastes better... Full menu, it's all great. Prices? Ya know, I used to say: a little expensive. But it seems that their prices have stayed the same while others have gone up, so I no longer regard Livornos as "an expensive restaurant". The last bill (yesterday) undercut my estimate by about 25%! Anyway, getting more than my money's worth at any price. You get free stuff too. They give you that pizza bread along with the regular bread. Some group vegetables at main course time. And in addition to any desserts you order, a LARGE tray of delicious fruit, no additional charge. I wish I knew where they get that fruit from because I can't find fruit in my shopping that matches it in taste. Oh yeah, also free Italian cookies. The service? As polite and efficient as I've ever seen. The owners (I think they're the owners) come around at intervals to make sure everything is okay. I've never had anything to complain about. My fingers are getting tired so I'll stop here. You've been warned.

This place has a pizzeria on one side and a restaurant on the other. While we waited for our table, we chatted with Tommy who worked behind the pizza counter; he was super friendly and helpful in providing us with parking information in the area Once our table was ready and we were seated, our super nice waitress Grace took our order. We both ordered eggplant Parmesan with spaghetti and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The eggplant was sliced, super thin, perfectly battered and complimented with delicious sauce and mozzarella cheese. It was the perfect balance of flavors and a generous portion. We both took home enough food for another meal tomorrow. This was definitely our first time to the restaurant, but will not be our last. We look forward to coming back again.

We started with some hot bread. There was two different kinds, one was flat and garlicy and other was just a plain loaf. Both were incredibly delicious. The salad was next, they brought us out some extra onions, it was all very fresh. Dinner, everybody's food looked really. There was a couple of chicken parmesans, a couple of chicken cacciatores and a stuffed chicken breast. I was the one with the stuffed chicken breast. It was different from what I normally would have gotten. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. The penne was good too, but the think the thing I was the most happy about was the red pepper. It worked I didn't have to fight with it or remove the lid to get some and it was really hot. For dessert we ordered Tartufo I couldn't eat it, but it really good. A few minutes later, two couples who are regulars arrived & sat at the bar near me. They told me that very soon I'll see the place packed with the usual Friday customers, and they were right! It was nice being included in conversation as if I was a regular along with them. The bartender greeted me promptly & gave me a drink & food menu. I ordered two lychee blossom drinks which I've had before, if I see a lychee drink on the menu I will usually go with that drink. Was given bread along with a white sauce that tasted good, one of the couples passed their marinara dish for me to try my bread with & that was good as well. I ordered meatballs from the appetizer menu to bring home, they were good as always. We came in on a Friday night and had a great time. The vibe and decor is Tuscan with lots of brick and wood around giving a warm feeling. Adding to the warm feeling was the friendly staff - the hostess gave us a 4 top despite us only being 2. They must have knew how much food we were going to order haha. We were given bread with an interesting spread that was tasty, but still not sure what it was exactly. Ordered some red wines. We looked over the menu to decide on some dishes to share. Here's the run down: CARCIOFO BRASATE CON BURRATA BRAISED BABY ARTICHOKES, WITH PISTACHIO PESTO AND BURRATA This was really enjoyable and with creamy burrata and delicious pistachio pesto that was perfect with the tender baby artichokes PARMIGIANA DI MELANZANA Eggplant meatballs were so good with so much flavor - didn't miss the meat at all. Fantastic sauce with this as well. BIETOLA & FUNGHI salad ROASTED RED BEET, MARINATED PORTOBELLO MUSHROOMS, ORGANIC BABY ARUGULA, GOAT CHEESE, WHITE BALSAMIC VINEGAR DRESSING The presentation of this dish was impressive with circles of beets acting as bed for the salad. It was different from the usual chunks of beets in most salads. I enjoyed this salad SPAGHETTI AL LIMONE IMPORTED ORGANIC SPAGHETTI, MEYER LEMON, PARMIGGIANO, FRESH BASIL We asked the kitchen to split this dish for us and they accommodated. The cheesy lemony pasta was perfect and paired well with spicy shrimp dish we ordered. GAMBERI UBRIACATI WILD BLUE SHRIMP, SWEET CHERRY TOMATOES, PANCETTA, CORN, CRISPY BREAD, RED PEPPER FLAKES These shrimps were really incredibly tasty - I usually don't order shrimp dishes in restaurants because they usually give a bit of chlorinated taste. Not here. The sauce was spicy with the pancetta and corn adding sweetness. For dessert we shared the brownie topped with pistachio gelato. The brownie was unremarkable, but the gelato was good. The espressos were perfectly made. The place was busy all night with a few open tables - the service encouraged us to sit allowing us to really enjoy our night. A fantastic experience.
