Clean, well-functioning machines. Ample parking. Change machine works fine. Time to re-stock some detergent; otherwise a-ok.

They worked so fast to fix 3 of my clothing pieces, and everything came out perfect. I'm petite, and they were able to tailor my overalls to fit me like a glove, seriously, they look so good now. They also fixed one of my jackets at the waist, and the fit is now exactly how I wanted it. The quality of the work is incredible. The stitching looks so professional that you can't even tell anything was altered. Jennifer helped us, and she was amazing, super kind and helpful throughout the process. Highly recommend this place!

When I asked if they could fix the mistake, I was told I would need to pay again. Under the previous ownership, they would correct errors at no additional cost--so this felt like a big step down in customer service. Another issue is that they now require payment upfront. This makes it difficult to address problems after the fact, since you've already paid regardless of the outcome. The overall experience has also declined. Instead of returning items neatly steamed on hangers with protective covering, they now hand them back folded in a paper bag. It feels rushed and lacks the care they used to provide. Overall, the new management seems to prioritize process over customer satisfaction. Unfortunately, I won't be returning and cannot recommend this place.

I am writing this review in response to the owner's way of handling our issue. My wife and I…read morebrought in our comforter to get it dry cleaned. As first-time customers, we decided to trust Green Leaf Cleaners because the owner was very confident and experienced in his work. We disclosed that the comforter required delicate care, as it was made with silk, to which he stated he handles delicate materials all the time. To our surprise, after we had picked up the item and brought it home, we inspected three holes about one inch long on certain areas of the cover where there were "flowers" stitched on, as well as several smaller sized holes. I understand that as a business owner, you must protect yourself by not admitting fault when we brought to your attention that your machines may have caused damage to our item. We could have demanded the current market value of the comforter as compensation, which is $500, but chose not to. Instead of taking accountability, you denied our allegations and instead offered to repair the holes as a "courtesy" because we showed up as first-time customers, as if you were doing us a favor. With our intention of showing you the damage, not only the big holes but also the smaller-sized ones, you portrayed a negative attitude by chuckling and shaking your head when we were pointing out the small holes. With that behavior, we believed that we couldn't entrust you to repair our comforter anymore. We appreciate that in the end you agreed to give us a partial refund of $50. However, you first said that (1) you didn't have cash and (2) you needed to contact the credit card company to issue the refund, as you didn't know how to, therefore asking us to return in a day or two. We asked for it in writing for reassurance. I suppose you didn't like the idea because you ended up handing us $50 in cash. I have respect for what you do as a small business owner, working tirelessly on so many items every day. It's not easy work, and I can tell you take pride in what you do. However, I suggest that you work on your integrity and take personal responsibility, having money-back guaranteed policies for your business, and most importantly evaluating your empathy and customer service. To customers out there: take pictures of your item before you bring it to this business, and be prepared that they will only partially compensate if your item incurs damages.

When it finally came to discussing compensation, the owner said they would only pay $100-200. This is outrageous, considering the hoodie cost me over $900. Instead of taking responsibility, the owner even threatened to call the police on me, saying I was "disturbing" their business, when all I wanted was a fair solution. Since they refused to resolve it, I filed a Small Claims Court case. Nearly a year later, the judge ruled in my favor and awarded me the compensation I deserved. This whole experience was extremely stressful and unprofessional. If you ever face a similar situation, don't be afraid to stand up for yourself--take it to Small Claims Court and let the law protect your rights. Avoid this place at all costs.

After moving back to the Bay Area I was searching endlessly for competence, then I found Smart Dry Cleaners: Sumi is truly the best. She's kind, efficient, and incredibly skilled with both alterations and delicate pieces. She's transparent with timelines and has never been late, not even once. Sue has tailored and dry cleaned all my trousers, jeans, jackets, and delicate fabrics like tweed, cashmere, and silk. Her pricing is beyond fair, and her attention to detail is unmatched. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. She even revived my sister's wedding dress from 2014 and my cotillion gown from 2012 that had deep stains, discoloration etc and both came out beautifully! Almost brand new again. I cannot emphasize enough, if you are looking for your local dry cleaners for routine pieces, occasions or alterations for an upcoming event, this is the place to go. *If you need something done urgently, I would go at opening and be direct on when needed by if it's for an event*

I recently dropped off a blazer for two things: 1. Sleeve and collar repairs (to fix broken stitching) 2. Dry cleaning They called me to clarify the alterations and said they could fix the sleeve, but the seamstress "doesn't like to do collar work." That should've been my red flag, but I let them go ahead with the sleeve. When I came to pick it up, I pointed out that the stitching looked awful--completely unprofessional. It was a sloppy hand stitch, and they claimed it was "reinforced." I've included a photo so you can judge for yourself: the left side shows the original factory stitching and the right side is their work. Not even close. I was quoted $18 but charged $15, so I assumed they at least did the dry cleaning and maybe knocked a few bucks off. But when I got it home, it still looked dirty. I called to ask if it had even been cleaned, and that's when they told me the ticket only said alterations. That was never the agreement--I was clear when I dropped it off that I wanted both. In the end, I paid $15 for work that now needs to be redone, and I still need to get it dry cleaned somewhere else. I let them know I'd be writing a review because this was frustrating, disappointing, and just not worth it. It's a shame because they used to be better. I won't be back. _________ Let me clarify a few things in response to Eric's reply: First, price was never the issue. When I dropped off the blazer, I was given an estimate for both the collar and sleeve repair. I was told the collar might not be worth fixing due to cost, and that the seamstress would need to confirm pricing. I never declined the service to "avoid the cost," nor did I say I'd fix it myself--I was waiting for a quote that never came. Second, there was no hole in the armpit area. There were two areas in the collar that needed repair, and loose stitching on the sleeve that needed reinforcing. These were clearly pointed out during drop-off. Third, I didn't ask for a discount. I voiced my concern about the quality of the sleeve repair when I picked it up--it was poorly hand-stitched and clearly not professional. The employee then went to the back, made a phone call, and returned to charge me $15. That price reduction was your team's decision--not mine. I also requested dry cleaning when I dropped the blazer off. That part of my request was ignored. When I called to ask about it, I was told the ticket only said "alterations." So somewhere between drop-off, alterations, and pick-up, there was clearly a breakdown in communication--either between the front desk, the seamstress, or management. And for the record, I didn't "threaten" a bad review. I said I would be writing an honest one, and I did. The photos I posted clearly show that the stitching was not done to a professional standard. That's not an opinion--it's visible. Instead of trying to discredit my experience or twist the facts, I suggest taking this feedback seriously. I was a returning customer from years ago and gave your business a chance. But this visit was disappointing and frustrating. The defensiveness in your response only confirms how little accountability you're willing to take.
