The first time my husband brought his scrub pants to get altered, it was roo short whenever my husband is wearing at work when I said it to her she said she measured it then I stopped going to her then I came back thinking to give her a second chance then I went to get my Adidas sweat pants altered w/ the adjustable string at the bottom so when I picked it up, the adjustable strings were gone & instead of being apologetic she is blaming me that I did not say to her to keep the original so I told her but that is the style of the pants & charging me extra $14 to put it back. When I picked up my dress, I noticed there were SO many loose threads; I had to personally cut them because they looked really bad. And some of the stitching wasn't done so great. I went there for the first time a few months back. Not the most friendliest and most efficient place just for a few shirts to be washed (press and clean), took 5 days. They prefer you to pay cash so they don't have to pay more to credit card companies if you use a credit card. The lady insisted for me to pay in cash which I didn't want to, but I gave in to the cunt lady. And they don't clean your stains for blouses or dress shirts as they adamantly stated. They are pretty frank and impolite. You would think businesses, especially local small businesses would give better service especially during pandemic, but this place doesn't give a sh*t. I hate wearing suits. That is up-front. I do not like wearing them. But I work in the funeral business so I am expected to wear them. Ok. If you have to wear a suit, you might as well do it right. There are a million youtube videos that can help you get the look you want and NOT look like you are wearing your dads clothes. I took two high-end suits to Diamond to get fitted. A Ralph Lauren and a Hugo Boss. I wanted to make an appointment for a fitting (one I was willing to pay for) but she insisted on a couple quick measurements. My biggest concern was the front of the jacket, as it looked too 'boxy', meaning it had too much material. I got them back in a week. Pretty good! The price was ok, fair but not too bad. There is no such thing as discount tailoring and I know that, so keep in mind the couple thousand you put down on the suit is the start, and getting it fit is part of the price. She did a great job on the jacket-sleeve cuffs and the back drape of the jackets looked great. BUT! The pants on the Lauren weren't even hemmed, and both jackets were still boxy. I take them back. She was cool about the pants, no problem, but when I was telling her about the jacket fits she says, "It is not going to look like you want." What!?!?!?!?!? Do you understand what a tailor is for!?!? I am not asking you to make me skinny. I am asking you to alter my suit so it follows my fat. (Typical dad bod btw) And then she tries to charge me more, to 'move the buttons'. I would have paid for a fitting. I would have paid more for some extra time to get what i was looking for. (I.e. customer service) but i am not ok with paying more money in something i have to bring back. And double that if you are rushing thru your work. I got both suits back today. The pants look great! But they just moved the buttons back on the jacket rather than altering the cut, and the buttons are sewn through the liner, so now there is an awkward puckering unless i button it up. I am pretty bummed, but I don't want to take them back considering how rude she was and how much she made me feel like i was putting her out ( hello? I am paying you here?) Sorry I bothered you. I wear suits for the dead. I honor their passing by paying attention to the details. It matters. lf you got some stuff at a thrift store or the time in the gym is paying off and you want to spruce up your fit, Diamond is your spot! But if you drop a couple thousand on a suit and need someone to pat attention to the details, you may want to think twice before leaving it here, unless she addresses your specific concerns and YOU feel like she hears you. read more

Took some clothing here cause it is in my neighborhood. Before I went I yelped it to see what the reviews were and they were pretty decent. When I yelped it I noticed a 10% discount for checking in. When I mentioned it to the lady she told me that they are not doing that anymore. She went on to explain that prices have gone up, but they haven't raised theirs and they couldn't use the coupon. 10% is not a lot, we are talking MAYBE $5 off my order . I usually go to Geety's down on Mission for alterations, but because Diamond cleaners is a couple blocks from my house, I thought it was worth a shot. She did a great job taking the dress in and added a button, and when i stopped by a day early to see if my clothes were ready because i stopped by Rite-Aid next door, she had my items ready! I explain to them when I dropped it off that I needed it because my flight takes off at six in the morning in Oakland and I am flying home from my brother's wedding. Been a Customer of Diamond Cleaners for over 10 years. I recently took a dress here for alterations to wear for my friend's 50th birthday celebration. The new owners (Husband & wife) team requested I pay $28.00 dollars up front, which I didn't have a problem with. I had just bought the dress, and went there w/o the shoes I planned on wearing with the dress. The lady was very rude. Said I'm lucky she wasn't charging me $30.00 since I haven't been there in awhile. While trying on my dress, I specifically told her I wanted the dress to be hemmed to fit with my 2 inch heels, or with a pair of sandals. To make a long story short, I picked up my dress the following week, and didn't bother trying it on until this past Saturday, 5/14/16. The dress was way too long. I was disappointed and ended up wearing another dress for the party. I decided to return to Diamond Cleaners today. I brought the dress along with the shoes to try on to show the owners the dress didn't look like it had been altered. The lady owner was extremely rude and hateful. I asked her if she had any intentions of fixing my dress since I've been a customer of this Dry Cleaner for years. She refused. Not once did she try to apologize and say she was sorry for the inconvenience I had. She demonstrated poor Customer Service. She and her husband stood behind the counter mimicking me with sarcasm on their face. Instead of saying, let's see what I can do to make this right for you, she said next time you'll bring shoes with you so this won't happen again. Unfortunately, they have lost my business . I highly recommend anyone who considers taking their clothes for dry cleaning or alterations consider another location. These owners demonstrated no compassion and understanding. A neighbor recommended getting COVID masks here on nextdoor and I like that this is a family run, veteran owned business and for each $5 mask bought they donate a mask to a veteran in need. I've met the owner and his wife on both visits and bought over 50 masks to distribute to family, friends, neighbors, and donate to seniors in Fremont and Newark. Everyone is nice and the seams are great. Very well made, thick, beautifully colored masks in two varieties, pleated surgical style 3 layers with filter pocket or a very large surface 4 layer mask that covers most of the face and nose. They can use your fabric or provide theirs and they have lots of stock you can grab and go at the shop without special ordering. They have reusable filters available for $1, but I have rolls of blue shop towels I use that are disposable so I passed on it. I'm looking forward to bringing my own clothes here once we are free of lockdown and I can go to events again. In addition to cleaning, I had my maternity photoshoot dress altered to be shorter. Tam was so helpful, sweet, and I was very impressed with her work. My dress was as if I had bought it that way. The dry cleaned pieces were well taken care of. She even noticed that one of my husbands suit jackets was missing a button during drop off.
