My go to dry cleaning place in Hayward! Started coming here before the pandemic started and as a new client I received a lint roller! The owner is really nice and the service is always quick and very flexible! I needed to get an item dry cleaned that I needed before a travel and they were able to accommodate. Dropped off over 15 clothes. 2 were 3 piece suits for weddings, the others were dress/collared shirts and pants. each came back spotless and clean. Sweet and welcoming people who work here. I gave them 3 pairs of tailored trousers and they cleaned them and maintained the front and back creases. My wife and I have been using Alpine cleaners for almost 10 years now. They are friendly, reliable, and in the rare cases that problem happens, they do everything they can to fix it. In the 10 years we've taken our clothes and other items to be cleaned, we've only had a problem twice: once was a stain that really could not be removed, and that was our problem, not theirs. They noticed it when we brought in the item, told us about it, gave us the choice to go ahead and try or not, which I think was as customer-friendly and fair as you can be. The other problem was a lost shirt (which happens at dry cleaners all the time!), and even then, they eventually found it and got it back to me. You're in good hands with Alpine Cleaners, and they are lovely people to work with. read more

For the most part, I've had a decent experience except the past two times. I took in a football jersey, and when I got it back, there was a crease in the number. He had claimed he does jerseys all the time and it's never happened. Thankfully they did it again and it worked. I then took in a Warriors basketball jersey and when I came back to pick it up, the numbers and letters were completely faded. I had let them know, and they had accused me of bringing it in like that. I forgot how much I paid for it after he asked and I told him a price I thought I did. When I looked it up, I saw that it was a different price and he started raising his voice saying that I lied and got very defensive. I had to let him know that if I was trying to lie about it, I wouldn't have told him the correct price. Mind you it was like 40 bucks difference from what I said. He even said straight up he didn't believe me and kept asking questions. He then said that it was probably faded when I brought it in because I bought it in 2021 completely brand new. I know for a fact jerseys shouldn't fade after a year and a half. After going back-and-forth and him accusing me of bringing it in he said he'll give me $45 credit. There's no way I'm going back again. Once I stopped defending myself, they were all in good moods and I left very upset. Now I need to sell this jersey because there's no way I'm going to wear it. But obviously, it was my fault because I brought it in this way supposedly. This happened a couple weeks ago and I tried to let it go but being accused and talk down to is no way a customer should be treated. I could've easily flipped out when I saw my jersey but I stayed calm and approach them in a very respectful way. Never once was there an apology with how I was talked to and ruining my jersey. Positive news: they were very sweet to my daughter (especially the lady) since she was with me the whole time and experienced that all with me. And thankfully they didn't charge for the other 2 items I picked up there that day. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. This cleaners is more expensive than my favorite one in Oakland that recently closed (and yes, even though I live in Hayward I was still dropping my clothes off there). Anyways, this place sucks. I picked up some dry cleaning last Monday from them, 5 slacks and a cashmere sweater. Well this past weekend I finally go to hang everything up on the velvet hangers I use for my dress clothes and low and behold there is a big ass hole in my cashmere (yeah, 100% cashmere) sweater. Easy enough to guess I was beyond irritated. So I gave them a call on Sunday and left a message regarding my grievance. No one called back. So today, Wednesday, I finally get some time after work to run by there and show them what they did. First off the male owner is a complete asshole and basically told me the sweaters old so the tear isn't their fault (funny, because there weren't any holes in it when I dropped it off there). So I tell him yes the sweater is a little over a year old but there was no sign of damage to it before I came in there. He then proceeds to start raising his voice and accuses me of bringing the sweater into the cleaners with a hole in it. Biiiiiiiitch when I tell you I blew my fuse! Don't ever falsely accuse me of trying to commit some sort of fraud! I got loud right back with his old ass reiterating that the hole is due to their mishandling of my property. His wife (whose usually the only one there when I pick up and drop off clothes) stepped in and said she can sew it back together. Yal this hole is the size of a ping pong ball right on the side of the breast. Ain't no sewing that up! At this point I'm fed up and just tell them to give me my money back for the dry cleaning. The old man began to object but his wife set him straight and gave me my money back, all $7 (insert eye roll emoji here). Needless to say I'll be taking my cashmere and coin elsewhere moving forward and I highly suggest everyone else do the same. These people are awful, disrespectful, and don't deserve anyone's hard earned money if they can't show some level of respect for their customers. read more

My toddler peed on my down comforter last night and it was dry clean only. Since it was my only good bed cover, I wanted to get it cleaned so we could use it again ASAP. I called one other dry cleaner around 8am this morning but no one picked up (despite their hours were listed as open at 8am). I called Alpine and someone picked up so I asked about pricing and if they'd be able to get it back to me by end of day. The man gave me a very reasonable price and said yes he could probably get it back to me by EOD. He was very friendly over the phone and in person. I was able to pick it up before they closed and I'm back to using my comforter tonight! I've used Alpine on Foothill about 5-6 times so far to get a variety of items dry cleaned. Heavy wool winter coats, silk blouses, delicate dresses, my husband's collared dress shirts, and more. All have come back in great shape, on time, and at reasonable prices. Recently I got big blood stains in the inside sleeve lining of an expensive designer trench coat. The cleaners near my office wouldn't even take the job because they were afraid the stains would spread to the outside of the sleeves once the cleaning solutions made contact. I then brought the coat to Alpine -- they too were cautious about the stain spreading but said they'd give it a try and call me if it looked too risky (they're great about calling you when the timing or service will need any changes). Lo and behold I got my coat back a few days later with stains completely gone and a reasonable bill. I've had a great experience here so far and will definitely keep coming for dry cleaning! read more

I don't normally write poor yelp reviews, but I was highly disappointed with my experience here. I brought in 3 items to be altered, 1 of which needed cleaned. The 2 stars are for the cleaning - my pants came back neatly pressed and cleaned. They also as a courtesy cleaned my sweater that needed repaired, even though I didn't request it. This was very kind of them. The stars off are for the repairs. I had a pair of dress pants that needed a blind hem and a sweater that had a tear at the seam in the sleeve. My pants came back with a hem... done with clear thread instead of black (to match). The stitch is extremely loose, uneven and unfinished with a giant end on the thread. My sweater was designed with split cuffs and the tear that needed repaired was after the split. I got my sweater back with the cuff entirely sewn up. I now have a left arm with a closed cuff and a right arm with split cuff. No one checked to make sure it matched what existed... The people were perfectly nice and completed my items on time, but the work is definitely less than spectacular. read more

When mother spanks me for forgetting to record her favorite episode of the Golden Girls, sometimes blood gets on my clothes. I deserve it, stupid stupid stupid! Anywho, these guys are the consummate professionals, they always clean my stains, no questions asked. One time i brought mothers pants in when she had forgotten to change her depends and lets just say that they drew the line but I dont blame them because poopy is gross, but mother says I'm being a sissy, but I think poopy is gross. Anywho, Alpine Cleaners were sissies as well because they drew the line. It's ok because mother threw the pants in the backyard and now the flowers in the area grow very well. Silver lining, heeyy! I like the husband wife couple and my clothes come back so fresh and so clean clean. I take a yelp star away for being a little expensive, over 5 bucks to dry clean my pants. I could buy 3 fancy feast cat foods for that price at the Safeway next door. Fancy feast is the best! read more

10/4/08 - Spent over $150 this last time. I had so many clothes the gentleman even carried all of it to my car and positioned them in my front seat, lifing the head rest to put the hangers. Impressed and gracious. 1/25/08 - Nice to have a nice place near by that is friendly, fast and did great work. I had to get a dress altered and I didn't pick it up for weeks. Super sweet people. Very good turn around. Had them do alterations to a suit and a bridesmaids dress and they came out well. They are very reasonably priced. I had them do all my suits and winter coats for a while. What is keeping me from more stars is I gave them a coat that was very challenging (luckily I dont care about it that too much anymore...) It is black cotton blend with light pink pinstripes on the outside, and pale pink fur on the inside. When I got it back, the pale pink fur was tinted black. It was no longer cute. It looked muddy. Now some homeless person at goodwill is nice and stylishly warm though...a $150 one of a kind hand-made coat warm. read more
