I've been bringing my suits and uniforms for tailoring and cleaning for quite some time. This week, I needed shirts and pants tailored in less than 72 hours. Stella took my challenge. Unfortunately, I had a butter stain on my sweatshirt and I was pretty bummed that it happened. First thing that came to mind, I should wipe it off with soap and water. STOP! The stain did not come off, but it actually made the situation worse. I went to Joy cleaner and the lady at the front said that most people try to treat it at home. I just bought my fiancé a couple of new pair of jeans that needed to be hemmed and after calling a few places, Joy Cleaners had the best pricing! I dropped them off on a Tuesday and she said it'll be ready to be picked up in a week. I went back for pickup yesterday and it was ready - great turnaround time! I think if I needed something before a week, she would try to meet my timeline but 1 week turnaround is already great in my eyes! What made this a great experience for me was that I brought in a pair of jeans that had holes in two areas and she stitched them back really well. The exceptional part of it was that she found another part that had a hole and she stitched it up for us, free of charge! That was very sweet of her! She is now my go to place for alterations. She really took the time to measure the length and got it just right. the dress was kinda expensive so I was a little worried going with a cleaners and not a traditional tailor; but I will definitely use Joy Cleaners for future alterations. This place was god sent! I bought a couch less then two years ago the already was ripping at the seams. The insurance of course is giving me a hard time. I was driving by and decided to stop there to see if she could salvage the cushion cover. We discussed the possibility of adding fabric because it was already so tight. I wasn't happy I had to possibly do that, but it was better than nothing. When it was time to pick up she did one better and redid the whole side so no extra fabric was needed and it fits great! Estella takes care of everything for me from *alternations ( I'm only 4'7 so I need a lot of alternations which Estella does perfectly for me everytime) *dry cleaning ( I always send in my boyfriends dress pants and shirts and she takes real good care of it and not too expensive either) *wash and fold ( I work nearly 7 days a week so I send in my laundry about once a month and by that time I don't have anything to wear and she will wash and food my clothes within a day or two) Estella is great!!! I've known her to make covers for couch cushions according to a customer's request. She's very keen on perfection when it comes to alterations, and will always make sure the customer is happy. Consultation on alterations are free, just bring in your garments and she will explain what she can do, how she will do it, and how much it will be. Although alteration is her specialty, she is very meticulous with your garments, finding stains that you may not have noticed yourself. This allows the dry cleaning process to work perfectly and make your garments look as good as new. Please note that there are some stains that Dry Cleaning alone cannot undo. For instance ink, or pet urine. Stella is a very hard worker and will do whatever she can in her power to help you get your garments perfect. Took my jersey there to get cleaned when I picked it up it look like it had been burned the coloring on the letters was rubbed off! It was new I had never washed it. They told me it was the design and that there is no way they could of done it.. All I'm saying is make sure you take a picture or get in writing that it was perfect be for you drop it off! Been getting my shirts laundered here for over a year until this July. First off, the lady owner is nice, she can be funny once you get to know her. So, it's $1.85 per dress shirt. Over the summer, the outlets were having awesome sales and I bought a ton of dress shirts. As long as it's a 32 and any collar size below 16, I can wear it, since I don't wear ties to work. So, I scored a bunch of 14 &14.5 size collar shirts. Long story short, when I picked up my last order of shirts, she had a note reminding her to tell me, that next time she'd have to charge me $6.25 for my 14 & 14.5 size collar shirts, as she has to hand press it as it won't fit their machine. Wow, you've got to be kidding? How about women's shirts or kids shirts? That was not right. So, I walked out and took my business elsewhere. The new cleaner I found looked at me crazy when I asked if they charge extra for those collar size shirts. Ironically, during one of my earlier visits, I was asking for a discount, and she jokingly said, "You can go! She acted like she was going to do a huge favor for me. She charged me over $400.00. The clothes were not ready when she said they would be. Here is the story. I bought a white dress and didn't check that somebody put a 4 inch blue pen mark on the dress. I know it's 50/50 that the pen mark can come off. Stella the owner told me the same.
