Alterations were over priced. I'm a teacher and I needed some chair pockets repaired and reinforced. The repairs were done but the reinforcement stitches were not. The repairs were small corner repairs-a straight stitch, on 3 pocket chairs and reinforcing the name tags stitches. The corners got done but not the name tag area. For $30.00 I was expecting more. I've had quotes and when the work was done, most reduced the price because of the minor repairs, but not here. Now I know better.Lets see how long it last. read more

My wife requested I take her wedding dresses to the best cleaners in Oakland and despite this location being 15 minutes away on 580 I would say it was well worth the trip. They have a very efficient system for drop off and pick up (text message when clothes are ready) and turn around time is certainly reasonable. I dropped off 1 long wedding dress, 1 formal long reception dress, one short wedding dress, and a veil. These were absolutely dirty along the trains of the dresses and the veil from the various nights of dancing throughout our wedding weekend. We got them back nearly flawless, the only thing I can honestly say I found were VERY VERY FAINT dirt stains on the bottom most part of the dresses/trains that you honestly won't notice unless your looking at it from the ground at 6inches away. So in short, they did a great job on these. Which given the total price ($175 total) it was worth it. Highly recommended. read more

Wow, disappointing. This store has such great view reviews that I took a dress there to have stains removed but ended up feeling slightly offended. When I picked up the dress and showed that the stains were still there, the first thing the woman did was to essentially blame me. She asked me if I tried to treat the stains before, I said yes, I used a little bit of vinegar. She then suggested it was my fault for "setting" the stain with vinegar before dry cleaning. Seriously? I googled it and couldn't find anything of the sort. In fact, many sites, including some dry cleaners, said the opposite -- using vinegar to treat stains. So, I felt like it was just an excuse instead of either an explanation or an apology. I get that some stains don't come out, but I would've preferred either one of those. She did finally offer to see if they could try again, but it wouldn't have been done in time for the event, which didn't help me. (And all I could think was, if you can do it a second time then why didn't you do it the first time?) When I was at the store, I was just really disappointed and I didn't think to say something. But the more I think about it, the more annoyed I am. The staff were otherwise very friendly, quick to help you, and parking was easy, but that doesn't make it worth it for me. read more

I had purchased a pre-owned wedding dress with significant stains, as can be seen below, and was hoping to find the right professionals to tackle the job. The price was shockingly affordable compared to what I have been paying was 10% less than I normally would pay to have all of my items dry cleaned. I am a little disappointed their alteration department was not available. He is looking for the right person to fill that position, he does however have someone but the turn around time is not a guarantee.
