I've lived in San Leandro for about 38 years and the only Drycleaner that I've used somewhat consistently has been Dryclean USA. During my working life, I had jobs that required slacks and button up shirts, and some uniforms. Whether I needed my order back in a hurry or could wait until next week, it was always ready on time. I brought in a pair of uniform pants on Tuesday afternoon. I was surprised to see that Alan was still working. We had a nice little chat; I hadn't been in for at least five years (I've been retired for 4.5). He looked relaxed and was as congenial and friendly as ever. I had some mud smeared on a pant leg and he checked the cleaning instructions, washable. Silly me, I could have sworn that these were dry-clean only uniform pants. Goes to show how often I wear them. I asked Alan to have them ready to go Thursday morning as I needed them for an event that afternoon. I went in at 11am this morning and he had them ready for me. Cleaned and pressed and good to go. When you need dry cleaning or washing done, go when you have a few minutes to wait. There is often a line and getting frustrated at not getting instant service helps no one. Take the time to tell them about any problems regarding your clothes and listen to their suggestions. If they say, "the stain probably won't come out", then don't get all bent out of shape when it doesn't. read more

Found this place after searching Yelp for nearby dry cleaning spots. I needed to dry clean a baby hanbok that a friend lent to me for my daughter's first birthday. My daughter ate various things during her party and yes, some of it ended up on the hanbok itself. I dropped off the hanbok on a Saturday morning and the kind man at the front register gave me a ticket and told me it would be ready by Wednesday. I wasn't in a rush and didn't ask if I could have it sooner so I can't say if this is their usual timeframe for returning clothes. Wednesday was busy so I ended up dropping by on a Thursday and, sure enough, it was all ready to go - spotless, unwrinkled, on a hanger, and covered with the standard plastic cover. It was $15 and such an easy, pleasant transaction. I don't have a ton of clothes that need dry cleaning, but if I do, I think I've found my neighborhood dry cleaners. read more

I can't recommend Dryclean USA enough, especially if you're looking for amazing dry cleaning service in the area. The owner, Alan, really goes above and beyond to make sure you're 100% satisfied. I brought in several stained dress shirts that I thought were goners. Alan was able to get even the toughest stains out and returned my shirts looking brand new! There was one shirt that needed a bit more work so he happily offered to give it another cycle through when I dropped off my next batch. His on-site seamstress also did fitted alterations for me on a couple suits and dress shirts. The tailored fit she was able to achieve was impeccable and her prices were very reasonable. Alan takes so much pride in his work and it shows. He takes the time to carefully inspect each garment and treat tough stains others would simply label as unfixable. I really appreciate the individual attention I receive each time I step into Dryclean USA. Finding a dry cleaner you can trust to care for your clothes is tough, but I'm so thrilled I found Alan. Very friendly service. Quick turnaround on most items as well. I appreciated the text notifications that my items were ready for pick up. They get a huge shoutout because they made sure my wedding tuxedo shirt was ready in time. If you need something by a certain date or if it's urgent they really try to accommodate. Basing five stars on the only interaction I've ever had at Dryclean USA, today. Just bought new clothes for a week of meetings and needed quick turnaround on one set of shirts and slacks. My day took me thru San Leandro, where I hoped to find a one hour laundry. It was all clean (save for the tears of the children who made these garments), so I just needed everything pressed. Dryclean USA was equal to the task. Two of the other drycleaners in downtown San Leandro were not...I get it, costs money to keep all the steamer equipment going all day, so many drycleaners power them down by the afternoon. Alan, the owner, said, "We love to do it whenever we can." And his shop did a wonderful job pressing my clothes, within 30 minutes, as I got some wings at Wing Fiesta (I think that is the name, first time there...also worth checking out). DO NOT COME HERE!!!! THEY WILL RUIN YOUR CLOTHES!!!!! I brought my new wool jacket in early January...I picked it up one week later & the wool is completely full or random cotton balls! The inside arm sleeve is completely ripped up at the seams and all four buttons are coming off!!! The shoulders pads also had a disgusting smell!!!! THIS IS A NEW JACKET! I brought in a rush job -- I needed four patches sewn on in less than a day. They did it (even though then I had to work and didn't pick it up on time - bad me), and they didn't even charge me for the rush. And my shirts were pressed when I picked them up, something I didn't even ask for! Polite, well run, and I'd use them again in a heartbeat. I have about four very large bags of dry cleaning that has piled up over the last year. This place is near work so I was hopeful I could start using them due to the convenience. I'm particular about my clothes so I was only willing to try a few items to see how they do. Pros: The customer service is great. The clerk is very nice and honest. The prices are outstanding; $6 for most items. Cons: The quality of their work is trash. Ugggh I was fingers crossed with hopes of them being cheap and doing a great job. Nope. I think they literally washed and pressed my clothes like at home. It was not at all that dry cleaning crisp pressed look. My jeans tag is leather and was firm and smooth going in, it now looks tattered and worn. The pressing on the items look like homemade ironing not a professional press; it's large crumples and wrinkles. Not the cleanest establishment. The swarm of flies at the entrance is pretty disgusting. In their defense, the flies is probably coming from the restaurant next door. Overall: It won't work for me. Most of my clothing is branded and/or of great quality, it's important they're cared for and cleaned properly. Items of lesser value may work if there isn't great care about outcomes. Super easy to drop off and pick up dry cleaning! There is a big parking area, and while it can sometimes be busy, you can generally find a spot . I had a pretty big order, and the staff insisted in walking it to my car for me! They did this for the woman ahead of me, and she told them she hadn't parked close . They just shrugged, and off they went . I was actually parked pretty close, so when they offered the same services to me I said I could get the cleaned clothes to my car. I use to frequent here when I lived right down the road. I had this expensive top I was real hesitant to take in, they assured me they would be able to clean no problem even with the front embellishment. When I received my laundry and other belongings along with my special top it was then that I noticed the front detail was completely broken. I will honestly never forget this . No sorry, no responsibility taken on their part at all. But it's okay I should have went with my gut! That was my fault I should have hand washed it!:,( when it doubt always go with your instincts. Such a great experience. Brought in 3 pairs of jeans to get hemmed and had 2 of them tapered from the knees. I got them back just a few days later and could not be happier. They fit perfectly and the sewing job looks great. I would definitely come back again. They charged $9 for a hem and about the same for the taper. We recently moved from this area but wanted to make sure I put a review in on this establishment. First, they do a great job with the drycleaning (especially like the option to have sweaters folded or hanging) if you pick folded they come nicely folded in a plastic bag. I called around to several drycleaners in the San Leandro area to find the best prices. Dryclean USA had the best prices of all and they do a great job. In the past, our experience has been if the drycleaner is cheaper you get subpar results---not so with this place. Additonally, we had an experience where we were missing 4 articles of clothing that were desginer articles and so rather pricey. After talking with Allen he did decide to reimburse us for the articles, although there was no proof it was actually their fault. Four months later we were called by another drycleaner that had had these articles, so we did refund Allen for the money he had given us for these. Bottom line--if you are looking for a good value for drycleaning with great results and honest people running the place---this is where you should take your drycleaning.
