This is my 2nd time coming back to have something altered. First time was a pair of pants suit that I had hemmed and add belt loops too. That came out horrible. They've decided to make and attach belt loops thats meant for jeans and not for slacks. Raw edges wasnt even concealed. I decided to come back and give this shop another chance since its just in the neighborhood & perhaps hemming jeans would be easier and have better results. Wrong! I requested about 2 inches taken off the hem and keep the original hem for a flawless look. Tailor adjusted it to the correct length, but the hem isnt seamless nor perfectly straight. What they did is theyve cut off the original hem and attach it to the correct length and just stitch those 2 pieces together using a light blue thread. A poor execution of an american hem that is noticeable. Below you can see photos of how uneven and unflawless the work the seamstress have done. It obviously has been altered in a very poor manner and was rushed. Will never come back again to this business. read more

LE IS A MAGICIAN. She came through for me at the last minute and did an incredible job. I sewed my own reception dress for my wedding last year, but had a LOT of trouble getting the chest area to be less gappy. I had tried multiple times to fix it but just could not get it perfectly right. I had less than two weeks left and was feeling the pressure! I went to Stitches, where the tailor gave me some terrible advice - she told me the only way it could be fixed was by sewing a visible seam down the entire middle of the bustline. I went to Le and she not only had the bust perfectly fitted and adjusted within 3 days (with no ridiculous seam), but she also did some extra work for me without even being asked - she graciously understitched the lining all the way around (a lot of work!) leaving me only to hem the dress. It turned out beautiful and I was so happy. It was one of the best parts of my wedding. And her prices were so incredibly reasonable for the quality of work that she did. Thank you so much Le! On my walks around Webster Street I've noticed this subtle little storefront. Last week I had a shirt to clean and decided to drop it off for launder and press. The lady said it would be ready in a week, which is a few days longer than the average dry clean spot. A week later, I returned and the lady insisted on cash since it was only one shirt. I do wish they took credit card. I went to the ATM and pulled out cash. Was able to retrieve my shirt. She shorted me $0.20 on the change by giving me a nickel instead of a quarter. I let it go, as one does for 20 cents. The parking here is challenging. This place sits on a busy section of Webster. I typically park residential about a block away. Will probably not go back due to not taking credit card. The dry cleaners one block away does take credit cards, regardless of amount. read more

I needed to have a full length bridesmaid dress tailored. I thought it would need more adjusting but the seamstress advised that it just needed hemming and everything else looked good. She also saw a spot on the back so agreed to dry cleaning. I pre-paid $96.99 for hemming and dry cleaning, which I was pretty surprised about especially since I only paid $100 for the dress. But I sucked it up. It was scheduled to be done a week from the day I dropped it off. I came to pick it up a week later and they could not find my dress. Finally the lady called somewhere and was able to locate it... somewhere else. Not entirely sure why it was somewhere else - possibly they outsource the dry cleaning service? But it seems like they had forgotten to go pick up my dress and couldn't go that same day anymore. I reluctantly agreed to come back the next day (I live across town about 20 minutes away). I called in the morning to make sure they actually had it before I came and they still didn't have it. I finally got a call in the afternoon telling me they had it. Great - so I drove over after picking up my son from school and... they were closed. This part was my fault for not double-checking their hours, but you can imagine how frustrated I was considering it was their fault in the first place for not having my dress when they were supposed to. I wish I hadn't pre-paid in full because I definitely would have asked for a discount for my trouble. Long story short, I will not be returning for tailoring or dry cleaning. read more

I have 1 black suit that I had bought about 15 years ago when I was about 20 lbs heavier and when suit styles had more of a "boxy" look. As suits are now more fitted and I'm more slender, having the suit altered was an absolute must. I also needed to wear the black suit for a funeral. Le's took in both the pants and blazer. This is a review for their tailoring. They did an excellent job! I just needed the shoulders lifted on a Matron of Honor dress, but the price felt fair and the dress looked great. The tailoring was flawless. I will definitely bring more pieces here! Just as a FYI- I gave them two weeks to do it because I had the time. The only downside I've found is the lack of parking. They also gave me someone else's clothes but we're Dillinger in calling me and letting me know that the black sweaters I had received were not my black sweaters. I needed a jacket zipper replaced. The cost was $40, which I prepaid. When I returned to pick up my jacket, they told me they had been able to fix the old zipper. No new zipper was needed. Two weeks before a wedding I purchased a dress from LuLus and there was so much room around the shoulder. The bust area kept dropping down. I went in and tried it on and the lady knew exactly what to do. She said she will take the shoulder in and also put a hook/button to fix the bust area so it won't show my bra. She charged me $40 which is kinda expensive and a bit out of my budget but I had no choice. I also brought in a sash that needs to be shorten, adjusted for on a 3 year old girl. She charged $25 which cost more than the sash of $12.95. Then I have no choice and no time so I just decide to get it alter. One week I went back and tried it out and the button she put on for he best would not stay she said she will fix it and put a hook on it. She was determine to fix it to make it perfect! Overall Le did a great job on the dress and sash. She knew exactly what to do. I wish I knew about this place a long time ago. She is on the pricier side. read more

If you have prized leather pieces, don't bring here, the prices are low, but they ruined my moto jacket. I shopped around for the best price and trusted they did the job right, it's a few months after the fact and I can see they burnt areas of my jacket, leaving irreversible darker marks on my gray leather.
