I made sure to come here multiple times before writing this review. In summary, I expect a dry cleaner to take care of my precious clothing garments without damaging them. Park Blvd Cleaners did NOT meet my expectations. I picked up one of my Farm Rio dresses after the 7 day turnaround time, only to find that the hand needed straps were tied in a knot together around the hanger, and that about half of the beads were no longer on the straps. I'm beyond disappointed and am more hurt at this point. This was an investment piece that is damaged due to it not receiving the care it deserved. On a different garment, I noticed that white deodorant marks were still across the front of the garment. This annoyed me more than anything, considering how simple it would have been to pay attention to detail and make sure the marks were removed. In summary, Park Blvd was a mistake I'll regret for a while. Aside from my garment being damaged, the pricing is not transparent, and extremely inconsistent depending on who is working when you drop your garments off. The high prices I was charged were not reflected in the quality I received. read more

This place was open the day after Christmas which says a lot to me about their work ethic! I was driving all around Oakland looking for an open dry cleaner and found this place. Turnaround time was 1 week and the it was reasonably priced ($18). They are reliable and were flexible when I needed someone else to pick my dry cleaning up for me. I would recommend coming in around noon for pick up or calling before pick up since I came early in the morning and it wasn't ready yet. read more

Update 9/4/2024: I needed a suit jacket tailored to my body so I went to park Blvd for some adjustments. I told her I wanted a slim tailored fit and that was all she needed. She took some quick measurements and asked me to come back in a few days. When I went to pick up the suit the fit was exactly how I wanted it. read more

I highly recommend this small business. I've gone to her a few times to get my pants tailored and she always does a great job. Being 4'11, pretty much no pants fit off the rack. She makes every single pair of pants fit me perfectly and I get so many compliments at work about them! She's even added belt loops to a couple pairs of elastic pants and they look great. I've also had my white coat dry cleaned and the sleeves and collar were quite dirty, it came out pristine just like the first day I got it! I had two sofa seat cushions from my fancy sofabed that were a MESS. I mean, they were so bad that I was contemplating re-upholstering the sofa - that kind of bad. Then I realized that there were zippers on them and I might be able to remove them for dry-cleaning. I am so glad I did because it saved me $$$. I tried my regular cleaners, and they actually waved me away saying that they couldn't do it. I took my cushions to Park Boulevard cleaners, and Tina, the owner, knew exactly what to do. She cleaned them in exactly 1 week. She went above and beyond. When I told her that I couldn't remove the seat covers from the cushions because I had just had a major surgery, she helped me do remove them. Within 1 week, they came back perfectly clean and THEN she spent a fair amount of time helping me get them back on the sofa cushions. It involves a technique of folding the inside cushion in half that only an experienced shop owner knows. Her cleaning business is the types of business that I try to support whenever I can. She immigrated here many, many years ago and has run the place as a single mom with three now grown kids. She is very kindhearted and is the kind of proprietor that takes the time to make sure her clients have what they need. I will be coming back! read more

I've recently started getting into suits so that means I've never dry cleaned anything. This was my first time and I left incredibly satisfied. You guys know how white dress shirt collars get a little ... dirty after a night out at a wedding? Yeah, that was cleaned and whitened. Like, I was blinded whitened. As a petite 5'1" adult, I often find it difficult to find jeans that fit well. This is why I'm so glad I found a trustworthy and affordable tailor at Park Blvd Cleaners. I brought in three pairs of jeans to be altered from the knee down. Before tailoring, the jeans would bunch up at the knees and the calves were very baggy - overall, very ill-fitting skinny jeans. After the owner took some quick measurements, I received my altered pants a week later and the calves now fit better than any jeans I've ever owned. She also hemmed the jeans so now they end at my ankle instead of having to be rolled up. I've attached pictures below of one of the altered jeans, but wish I had done a before and after. These jeans used to sit in my closet because they were so unflattering, but now they are my go-to pants! Lina is great to deal with. She has done a number of small alternations and always done a good job. Her location is also easy to get to and there is no issue finding parking. I find dry cleaning hit or miss at times, but I find that any dry cleaner has the same issue and if you tell her she will gladly fix any issue. Tina did a fantastic job with all of the items I brought in. 9 items of a variety of textures (real fur, fake fur, suede, cotton) with simple needs -- holes that needed stitching, hems, your basic dry-clean -- but needs that really required specific instructions in order to fit me exactly. Wow! I am very satisfied with their service! I had a down jacket with black stains on sleeves for over 10 years old. I've tried dry cleaning it many years ago elsewhere, but the stains were still there. I brought it in and ready to pick up in 2 days. I was very surprised when I got it back and ALL but one persistent stain was removed. Other than that, it looks like brand new again! And just as puffy. Wow! Excellent service! I like supporting small, local business but feel overcharged and receive poor customer service at Park Blvd Cleaners. I recently brought linen drapes for cleaning. I told the owner that I'm really busy, so it's easier to have her do the job. She replied, "Oh you're lazy, huh?" I asked her, "I'm sorry, what was that?" She said, "Oh nothing." When I picked-up the drapes two weeks later, one of them was destroyed. Her 'customer service' approach was to not charge me for cleaning THAT drape. She offered to sew a replacement drape if I wanted to go to downtown Oakland and locate matching fabric, but offered no discount to offset destroying my property. She also charges 50% more for dress shirt laundry service because I'm over 6' tall. I am not 50% taller than average, but the owner justifies it takes that much longer to press a tall shirt. No more. I'll take my business to shops that respect their customers. read more

Why, oh why, is it so hard to find a decent dry cleaner? I started coming to this cleaner a couple of months ago and thought I had finally found the Shangra-la of cleaners until today. This review would have been 4 stars a week ago, but after today, I will probably never go back. So what happened, you ask? On Tuesday, I picked up four items, one of which was a coat that I had clumsily squirted green salsa all over about six months ago. I think that I may have had half a cup all over the front of the thing. Since it has been hot as hell the last few days, I did not take the jacket out of the dry cleaning bag until today, when it was suddenly a gloomy Seattle type morning. Since I was in a hurry to get to work, I just threw the jacket in the back of the car and put it on for the half block walk to my office. It was not until 10 am when I was walking out to get a cup of coffee that I noticed that there was still some dried salsa on the front of the coat. I thought to myself, that's no big deal, I think I can brush it off, and my coworker suggested I use some water. But at that moment, I lifted my right arm, and there was this stain that looked like projectile vomit had landed on the underside of my right arm, a mix of green salsa and sour cream, which is weird because I have no idea where the white stuff came from And here comes the juicy part. When I took the coat in within hours of the discovery, the lady accused me of lying and making the stain this morning! I should have/could have been irate for her potentially ruining my coat and wasting my time making an extra trip back, yet I had to listen to her deny any responsibility for about 5 minutes and accusing me of being like many of her customers her also lie, before she would even say she would clean it again. I told her multiple times that I wasn't lying, yet she insisted that I must have leaned on something on my way to work. Yes, I eat green salsa and sour cream at 8 in the morning on my way to work every day because that's just the kind of person I am. Come on, give me a break! I gave up trying to defend myself as it wasn't getting me anywhere, but it really makes me sad that people can be so negative and not take responsibility for something they did. We won't even get into the motto "The customer is always right." I am willing to pay good money for a good dry cleaner, so if you know of one in the area, please send me a referral. read more

We recently moved into a building with no laundry and have tried four places in the area for wash and fold. One was expensive, far (15 minute drive) and took too long, one was expensive, took too long, but close (5 minute walk), however, ruined some clothes, as well as the lining of the laundry bag. One was reasonably priced, same day service, folded clothes in nice packages, but was really far away (25 minute drive). Two of them did not have the clothes ready when they said they would. The fourth is Park Blvd Cleaners. It's reasonably priced, and closer (10 minute drive), with same day service. It also had the best clothes folding of all of them. Sorted by girls and boys clothes (no easy feat in our house), matched socks in separate bag, undies all together. Putting away the clothes was a breeze. We have no need now to try out a fifth. read more

I dropped off our clothes for wash and fold. It was the first time using them and I couldn't believe it was so expensive! $53! I justified the price because I didn't want to go to the laundromat to do five loads of laundry that week. I am pregnant and I have a 16 months old son so laundry is a big hassle. Then when I went to pick up the laundry she told me she thought she weighed it wrong. I thought, Oh no, I have to pay more! But is was less! It was actually $31. I was so happy that she was honest with me. I would have paid the $53 if she wouldn't of told me otherwise.
