Waah perfectly trimmed in my thick, too-big denim pants along with the sleeves on a soft leather jacket. After discussion, I expected that both would show the sewing, even outside stitches. No problem, I was OK with it. BUT instead I strolled off with 2 super gorgeous, uber-professional alterations! Plus, Waah was delightful to chat with. I will be back, with more clothes and also just to pop in, socialize while walking around Piedmont. She welcomes company! read more

Dry Clean Time - Leather sleeve (no thread showing!) and pants with sharp, clean hem - Dry Cleaning Near Me - Oakland, California

Very good alteration of sport coat sleeves. Excellent advice about dry cleaning vs washing.

I have used this dry cleaner and seamstress since 2014. She's an amazing seamstress and makes sure you are very happy before leaving her shop. I can't stop recommending her to others and especially to family. My wedding dress fit like a glove and looked so beautiful. My cousins wedding dress was reconstructed thanks to her wonderful work. Two beautiful bridal dresses she cut so we looked beautiful and it fit our body's shape perfectly. I love coming here from Brentwood,Ca. Anytime there's an event. read more

Best dry cleaning lady I ever encountered. If I wasn't moving away, I would keep going to her forever. She's great with alterations-I got my pants and dress hemmed and the work was done well & quickly. The dry cleaning is great-my clothes came back clean and crisp. She can be a bit pricey but everything is expensive these days‍ read more

They were fine, nothing special, but acceptable. I brought in a sportcoat and hoped they could finish it in 4 business days, but that wasn't possible and they instead quoted by 8 days. Not a huge deal, but not ideal. It was twelve bucks, which was a bit on the high end, but again, not terrible. The service was quick to drop off and pick up, so that was good. There's not a ton of parking nearby and it's mostly paid, but there are some free spots in the residential neighborhoods a couple blocks away. read more

I dropped 2 jackets, with different types of stains. Unfortunately there was no improvement at all. They have told me in advance that the stains may not go away, however I was also given the impression that some of it would be gone. read more

Trench coat for makeup stains on front. Super friendly, did good work with cheap and fair prices

UPDATE: I have been a customer of Nancy and her sons for two decades. She has been hit hard by the Shelter-In-Place shutdown. In May, she reopened to nearly full-time hours 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Now that the hair salons and takeout situations have stabilized around the nearby restaurants, I am hoping that she benefits from the foot traffic. I recently had her dry clean a dress with leather accents. It was done beautifully because of the preparations she made. She also altered my husband's suit jacket and the tailoring was impeccable. I very much recommend her. She is congenial, friendly, honest and her work is fabulous. She also hand-sewed a line of facemask for adults and children. I highly recommend her. read more

I had a big (queen size?) down comforter that I had been putting off getting cleaned for a while... No specific stains, just generally yellowish and the down was getting flat. I brought it in, and because of its size, she said it might not come out well or be hard to clean. I left it with her anyway, and wow was I impressed! It is fluffy and bright now, and my cat and I are super happy to cuddle with it. The woman who was at the counter was very nice to me throughout. I think she must have had some nasty customers in the past so she's a little discouraging, but I thought she did an excellent job, I'm really impressed. read more

#1 place to go for alterations Nancy again saved my friend and I at the last minute. We are bridesmaid's both our zipper broke while trying to put it on and I lost some weight since I last put it on. Nancy was so understanding and helped us. I can't believe the wonderful work she always does ! read more

EXCELLENT work, craftsmanship, and professionalism. Highly recommend this place for tailoring I wish i had a before picture but my jacket sleeve was a mess! worn out and started to split. This jacket costed me quite bit of coins because I loved it, and for about 6 years ive worn it every fall - spring. so i valued this jacket a lot until this started happening. I wore it less and less because i was embarrassed. First i went to LEVI store in Emeryville and first of all I did not trust their storage system. Things were out while customers were walking around in the retail store. So I said forget this I'll go to this place near our place and that was DRY CLEANING TIME She was very kind and patient. She even suggested a great idea how to cleanly fix the issue i was having, which Levi store couldn't even stop to think for a second for a solution. But dry cleaning time did. She has knowledge. She said about 3 days and exactly 3 days it was ready. And magnificent result. Fresh like wrapped in plastic, clean, sleek edge. I completely trust this establishment now. Her son runs the store late afternoon / evening. Great respectful friendly guy. Hope to get more work done by them again soon. Thank you!! read more

They did a spectacular job getting the stains out of a vintage dress from my aunt, via dry cleaning! They also did jeans hemming, zipper replacing, etc. and those were amazing as well. read more

Came here to drop off a dress for my best friend's City Hall wedding. There was a very nice woman working there who helped me quickly and confirmed she'd be able to get my dress done within the few day turnaround time. Pick up was easy - it was $20 for a dress with a separate belt piece, and everything looked really lovely. My only complaint is that the hours listed here/Google were not correct, and they had a sign outside with the correct hours. Would recommend calling just to confirm they're open prior to going! read more

The lady was knowledgeable, she cut and hemmed my jeans in a few hours and her prices are reasonable. Also she has a lot of cool masks for everyone. read more

AMAZING! The piece I took in truly looks brand new, I couldn't be happier! Great service, I will definitely be coming back.

It's so hard to know where to go when you have a fancy dress to alter, a wedding to attend, and not much time to get everything done. Nancy was really helpful. She hemmed the bottom of my long, floofy dress and even helped recommend "bridal tape" to keep it secure in all the right places. It was pricey to have it altered and cleaned - $60 - but comparable to other places in the area. All told, great customer service and a good experience. Also, you can get ice cream next door while you wait. Just sayin' :) read more

This place is the best find. It was highly recommended to me and I'm so pleased. The owner is darling and quite a good seamstress. She lives to work on our vintage clothing and does a good job. It's a pleasure to run this errand and she has a ten minute parking space out from. A must for people who dress nicely and/or in vintage. read more

I took my down comforter here after a cat vomit incident and everything was great.

Great people and super fair prices. These folks are excellent and it really bummed me to see how shaken up the owner was after an extremely rude customer bashed the business on Yelp. Not cool. These are good folks. Definitely my go to spot for alterations, repairs, and cleaning. read more

Great alterations and everyone there is super sweet! Ignore the negative reviews. They do great work which is why so many people keep going back (just look at their customer wall of fame!) read more

This place is great for getting your items laundered, dry clean or altered. I have been doing here for a couple of years and the service is always top notch. The owner is very friendly and honest about what she can or can't do about the clothes. The prices are reasonable, and service is great. parking can be a hassle but If you are lucky, you may find that the 10 min spot right in front is available. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE, BAD QUALITY CLEANING AND THREATS/INTIMIDATION WHEN I BROUGHT IT TO THEIR ATTENTION AND WANTED A REFUND. I brought in an expensive chiffon dress, which the owner said she could clean. I got the dress back with a huge metallic grey stain on it, and when I brought it to their attention they told me it was already there when I brought it in and I had probably not noticed it. There is no way I would not have seen this, as the dress is yellow and the stain is dark grey. The owner insisted that I had put the stain there, not them, and she would not refund me. Here is the part that should REALLY make you want to take your business elsewhere: After talking to her on the phone for about 15 minutes, I finally told her I would not be coming back and would never refer her business to anyone I know in the area. Her son then grabbed the phone and screamed at me, telling me to "just come get my clothes and never come back", and that he "knows people like me, who just want to stir up trouble". He also very threateningly screamed that I should come "deal with him" and that he would "take care of me". He sounded like he wanted to kill me, when all I wanted was a refund for a dress they utterly ruined. I never once raised my voice on the phone, talked condescendingly, or got heated up, so I definitely feel I did not deserve to be yelled at or threatened by this woman's son. I also got back a burgundy colored sweater with white dog hairs all over it. I don't own a dog, so I know this was not because of me, and after repeatedly denying it, the owner finally broke down and told me it probably happened because the company THEY SEND THE CLOTHES OUT TO (that's right, they don't clean the clothes you leave themselves, even though they tell you they do) probably put my clothes in a machine with someone else's. According to him, it's "very common to get your clothes back from a dry cleaner with dog hair on them" I STRONGLY RECOMMEND AGAINST USING THIS DRY CLEANER. THEY ARE NOT TRUST-WORTHY. THEY ARE UNPROFESSIONAL AND YOUR CLOTHES COME BACK DIRTIER THAN WHEN YOU BROUGHT THEM IN. read more

This is your typical neighborhood dry cleaner, but I keep coming back to this place. I think it's because I just love the lady who owns and runs this place and her sons who help out. They are so friendly, and they remember me. :) When I walk in by myself, they ask me how my husband is doing. I'm not sure if same day service is even an option. I've never been asked if I wanted same day service. The quality of dry cleaning is pretty good. Minus 1 star, because the hemming job got undone only 1 week after once. Minus another star, because I really needed my clothes by certain day and they were done later. Despite these mishaps, I still go back to this place, because it's got that mom and pop neighborhood shop feel and the price is reasonable. read more

my husband went there for years before I met him and I joined the fan club 5 years ago. Dry cleaning is excellent and she repairs and hems all of my stuff since I am not the sewing type. Always so friendly and on time or early! read more

This place is great. I've taken jackets in to get cleaned two times. The first time, my bf had gotten motor oil on his warriors jacket and I brought it in. They were up front about what they'd try to do to eliminate the stain and let me know it may not come out entirely. The stain was still there a bit but what they did improved it significantly! The next time, I brought that same jacket in along with mine for an end of season cleaning. They remembered who I was and the jacket from the first time. They cleaned my white coat of all the various stains I'd acquired over the season (didn't help that the Warriors added a hurricane machine - aka blue slushy - at the bar this year). The turnaround was reasonable - I think it was 3 days. And super affordable. Will definitely go back for any future dry cleaning needs. read more

I had a bridesmaid dress to alter by Friday. It was Wednesday. I walked in and asked if it was possible. She said no problem, come back tomorrow around the same time to try on the dress. I came back and it was ready. I tried it on, and it fit and looked so much better. The dress stayed on throughout the wedding and reception and I received many compliments. She did a great job and she's very nice. read more

I had just purchased a suit at Macy's in downtown San Francisco. It was about 3:15 and I needed my suit pants altered right away to go to an event that night. I called and the owner (who also did the alteration) said she could have them done in an hour. She did as promised! Not only was it super fast, but they look fantastic! And, the owner is incredibly friendly and it was very reasonably priced! I will definitely use Dry Clean Time again! read more

I love Nancy and her sons. They are the best. I've been going to Dry Clean Time for years. Even though we moved out of the neighborhood we still make the drive over to give Nancy our business. She's an amazing woman/entrepreneur who works so hard for her business and family. The quality of her sewing work is excellent. If ever there is a mistake with the dry cleaning, she is so helpful and will fix it right away. I should also add that the prices beat any of the nearby dry cleaners. read more

Worst service I have ever had at a dry cleaner. I brought in a few items to get cleaned- 2 blouses, a simple dress, a black skirt, and 2 jackets. The woman (I believe the owner) had some reason why she couldn't clean any of the items. Apparently she doesn't want new business. She said she could not get stains out, she could not clean anything with beads, she could not get pilling off my coat- what is the point of going to a dry cleaner if they can't do anything?! All of the items I had had cleaned before but I just moved to the area so I needed a new dry cleaner. read more

The owner is a lovely person (Nancy, or Waah) who, along with her sons, keeps everything in order and checked over. If something is not cleaned to her standards, she sends it back. Since she couldn't restructure ME, Waah completely re-structured my bridal gown so that it looked like it was made for me. She has done other miraculous and creative sewing jobs for me as well and has excellent suggestions about fabrics and fitting. We are lucky to have her as part of our neighborhood. read more

I love Nancy at Dry Clean Time. I mainly use her for alterations, rather than the cleaning, which I am sure is great also. Pants are really hard to alter and she does an incredible job...they fit just perfectly. She is so friendly, warm, cheerful and will always try her best to get them ASAP!!
