Wonderful family owned wash and fold place!! I bring my laundry in laundry bags with my own detergent (at my own request since my skin is so sensitive) and it's done in 24 hours. When I called around to other wash and fold places, they were the cheapest at $1.75 per pound with a 10 pound minimum. They do charge extra to clean duvet covers. All of my items are folded meticulously with no wrinkles. I would love to know their secret, as I would never be able to fold my clothes, towels and sheets the way they do. I haven't tried their dry cleaning services yet but I plan on having a dress pressed here. Little gem of a place! read more

Sunny Cleaners has very reasonable prices and they do a nice job on your clothes. They have gotten out stains which I thought were definitely NOT coming out! They are also close to my house which is a must for me when picking out who I will be using for my dry cleaning. The only reason I am not giving Sunny Cleaners a 4 star rating is due to their hours. They open at 8:30 a.m. three days a week and 9:00 a.m. the other two days. Most dry cleaners in town open at 7:00 a.m. so that people can drop off their laundry on their way to work. Sometimes, I need something clean by the next day so I go into work late so I can get my laundry in for next day service. What usually happens is I get there at 8:30 a.m. and have to wait 5-10 minutes outside the door until the owner gets there, as she typically runs late dropping her child off at daycare. She is a sweetheart though, so it's hard to be mad at her. Just wish they would hire a person to open the store early! However, for the prices, quality of work and friendliness of the owners, I am definitely a fan! read more

This is one of the worst dry cleaners. The lady at the counter wanted to charge $40.00 to clean a knee length coat. "YES, I said $40.00'' I said that was way to much for one coat. She changed her mind and said she could charge $30.00???? that was her lowest price. I asked if she would take $25.00, she said no and pushed my coat over the counter. I was disappointed with this lady's attitude and her so-called customer service. I will never return to this business. BEWARE. Don't take your wedding dresses here!! They send the dress to another shop and then charge you over 100% mark-up. They accidentally left the other receipt on my dress (see picture below) which shows that they paid the shop who actually did the work $65 + $20 shipping and then charged me $180. When I brought this up to the manger Q she said, verbatim " you weren't supposed to see that." They performed no additional services. I called Snow Cleaners in Stockton - the shop who did the work - and they indicated that the guidelines they give to stores for mark-ups is ~35%. They were shocked and appalled by what Sunny Cleaners charged me. If you work directly with Snow Cleaners they will clean it for $99. They have process in place to receive shipped dresses as well. The store manager Q, refused to lower the price below $150, and only did that after I pleaded with her about how dishonest this felt. My advice, go somewhere where you can ensure you're not being taken advantage of. read more

I brought a bridesmaids dress here two weeks ago and they were able to alter it in one week. It was very well done and it looked great at the wedding. Unfortunately, this place is NOT inexpensive. I asked them why it was the same price to get 1.5 inches of fabric removed here as it was for me to get a dress completely resized in a SF cleaners. They claimed it was the "layers of fabric" even though there were only two. This 1.5 inch of fabric was $65 to remove. Think again before coming here for alterations, there are better values elsewhere. read more

It took me a while to get over what they did to my clothes and that's why I'm giving them a generous 2 stars. The many times I've come here for dry cleaning everything turned out great, except for alternations. I had them hem 2 pairs of jeans and a set of drapes and they totally messed up on all three items. I'm actually surprised that this is not mentioned on any of the other reviews. Both jeans were off by 1 whole inch and my set of 2 drapes where both hemmed different lengths. One of my drapes fit the window perfectly and the other drape was 1 1/2 inches off, which didn't cover my window and it was crooked. I seriously couldn't believe it! If the drapes alone don't tell you that they don't know how to do alterations then I don't know what will. To make matters worse I can kinda see where half of the alterations went wrong. When a customer is asking questions making sure things are understood, but the person at the counter gets snappy, because they don't have patience to interact with the customer then this is what happens. On the other hand if you can't sew straight then you shouldn't be offering alternation services in the first place and I believe these two reasons are why things went wrong. I was left extremely disappointed to say the least and that's why I'm not coming back. My suggestion to those who want alterations is do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. read more

I've never been good at taking care of alterations. I buy a pair of pants that need to be hemmed and then either leave them in the back of my closet forever or wear them rolled up on a long haul flight and hope no one notices. With three pairs of too long pants on hand, I decided I needed to take action. I brought them to Sunny to be hemmed on a Saturday and received them back the following Saturday. The total cost was a very reasonable $24 ($8 each). Since these weren't jeans, I didn't bother saving the original hem which is a pricier service. The sewing work appears well done on all three - one pair of cords, one pair of cotton trousers and some hiking pants with a bit of stretch to them. I'm super glad to have three newly wearable pants on my hands and have Sunny to thank for that! I will now be more intrepid with purchasing pants because I know I can easily and affordably take them here to be tailored. read more

Really happy to have found this place. I just got a new job and needed work clothes tailored and dry cleaned as quickly as possible. When I arrived Friday night, it was almost closing time (I didn't realize it was so late in the day) and I had over 10 items that needed to be tailored! The tailor stayed late and pinned me for at least another 45 minutes after normal closing just so I could get my clothes in in time for them to be ready sooner. I was told I'd have to wait a week for the tailoring, which I expected, so I set aside a few items to simply dry clean to tide me over until the other items would be ready. Fortunately, when I went in to pick up the dry cleaning items on Monday, they had already finished some of my tailored items and included them. They also encouraged me to try them on to make sure everything fit well before taking them home, which I really appreciated. I've never had a place do that before. They were unable to get some weird light stain off of one of my shirts and noticed themselves, so they kept it and were going to try again free of charge. read more

Found this place on Yelp and have been going here for 9 months now. Initially the service started out good but lately things have gone down hill in a hurry. Dry cleaning and laundry were done in a timely way and the prices were reasonable. The family that runs the shop is very nice and they're quite friendly. Things went well for a while -- I paid, pointed out specific spots for wash or dry clean focus and they cleaned. Then things started to fall apart a bit. I noticed that what they used to clean well (collars etc) were coming back still pretty dirty. I had to take stuff back a couple of times (twice to be exact) and each time I was told that "oh that is the best that can be done". Hmmm, that would be acceptable except they had manged to clean my shirts properly for several months. Now all of a sudden it couldn't be done anymore? I continued to bring my stuff here rather than look around for another dry cleaner (we all know what a pain it is to find a good one). Well that was until they tore a garment I dropped off for wash. When I took it back, they said they'd fix it and they're do it for no charge.Excuse me? No apology, and now you're doing me a favor by fixing a garment that YOU tore?? And that was the last straw. So you're on notice -- this place is a hit or miss on the work product and a miss on the service. read more

For three years in college, I never took my shirts to dry clean. Instead, I just washed them using laundry machines and machine dried them. This process often damaged my shirts by shrinking and wrinkling them. As a result, I decided to take my favorite shirts in for dry cleaning since I will be going to Vegas this weekend. One of my shirts had some alcohol stain and another had some extensive sweat stain on the collar. I took them in on Monday and got them all back by Wednesday afternoon. Fast service and really nice ladies working there. Even better, the shirts were crispy as freshly cooked fried chicken in baking soda or something (read: really clean and flawless!). I will definitely be coming back for future dry cleaning needs. I also got one of my pants that I recently bought on eBay for hemming 2 inches. The lady warned that hemming without tapering may not be the look I might want. I really appreciated this warning since she could've just said nothing and gotten my money. I still decided to get them hemmed, which came out really nice. However, she was right about how I should taper them. I will be going back some time soon to get them tapered here. What can I say? This is my local neighborhood dry cleaner and they're awesome due to their friendly service, always-prompt delivery and great low prices. Convenient to/from Ashby BART. Deducting one star for not being there right at 8:30am (their daily opening time) on a day when I was really in a rush. But they're open a couple hours after I get off of work too; so, although I wanted to, I couldn't be upset when I brought in a bunch of shirts to be laundered and pressed, and I was greeted with the usual huge smile and friendly conversation. Not only will your clothes be very clean, they will also treat you with respect and courtesy. They're super friendly and will provide honest advice about what extent they can actually fix, launder or dry clean certain items. This place reminds me of Cheers, but in a drycleaner store--everytime I walk in, they remember my name and how I have my wash and fold done (no starch). I'm a little spoiled, in NYC laundromats were virtually open all day, but here it's more of a 9-5 thing (I guess people have more of a life out here, which is good). Prices went up to a $1/lb on June 1, which sucked a little, but I guess it's about market price for the area since most buildings have laundry in them (I didn't in my old spot, so this is nothing to me). Also do drycleaning and hook you up with a 5% discount when cash is paid. They offer same day service, but I never get it--I start work early and leave before they open so I always have to get it the next day. Today I dropped off some nice dress pants and paid $3.80. I've gotten a silk blouse, casual business coat, and dress pants done for about $15. Those prices are unheard of at regular dry cleaners. Granted this is with the cash discount, which I don't remember exactly, but why should I? I just pay cash in advance for an awesome deal. My clothes have always come back in great, pressed condition.
