The Owner of this place is awesome! I met him the first time a few months back. He told me his name (which I forgot I'm sorry lol) but he taught me how to use the new dryers. (Press circle button to add desire dryer time than swipe card and or tap to pay) The first time I had an issue with the washer. I called him and he helped right away. (He even stayed on the phone with me till my issue was resolved. Turns out It was user error I had my clothes in the way of the door so it was causing the door to leak water) The 2nd time I had another user error, & He was again super responsive. I made a huge mistake and added too much soap and he was super understanding. He helped me with my washer and had Anthony who normally cleans the parking lot help me. Anthony was so nice, so positive and very helpful! If you need a place that is well taken care of and is cleaned frequently this is the place to do your laundry! Did I mention that your 10th wash using your card is free. I love the benefits definitely a good value for your money ! This place is definitely not how it was a few years ago when I used to come. I came to this laundromat today as I've been coming here for over a year and this is the third time the old Hispanic man harassed me and other customers. The first time he harassed me I asked him to leave me alone because I didn't ask for his opinion because he was telling me how to use the fabric softener bees which I've been using fabric softener beads for about four years I have been using these beads and I know how to put them into the machine. After I asked him to leave me alone three times he continued to harass me and continue to try to tell me how to add the bees into the washing machine on a second occasion I was spraying my basket on top of the counter, like I normally do, and he insisted on telling me that I couldn't spray the bottom of my basket, which I always do that and and the countertops the recent incident happened today when I had my laundry detergent sitting on the counter and I was getting my things out of the dryer and he decided he wants to tell me that I couldn't leave my detergent on top of the counter and I told him I'm about to fold my clothes if anybody wants me to move my detergent. I will move it so they can use the counter space. He's proceeded to harass me for about five minutes after I ask him several times to leave me the hell alone, and he would not leave me aI was at the laundromat when a man, who I believe is responsible for maintenance, decided to take my laundry detergent off the counter and put it in a basket, even after I asked him not to touch my things. I informed him that his job was to maintain the laundry facilities, not to harass customers. He then went on to harass another woman, telling her she couldn't leave her dirty clothes on the counter. She told him that she would wipe the counter off after removing her clothes. As I was leaving, he yelled at me, "Don't come back!" I was so upset that I considered calling the police. I have reached out to the owner three times, as this man clearly has a problem. This is the third time I have witnessed him harassing me and other customers. I'm not sure if he is on drugs, but I have seen him sitting in his car with another man, drinking a 12-pack of beer. I plan to find out who the owner is and will file a complaint with either the city of San Leandro or another appropriate department because no one should have to be harassed by this man. I've been coming here for the past few weeks because it's convenient and the people here are always friendly. The person today who came in started to criticize my son, whom which he has always helped me with pushing the cart and helping me put the clothes inside the washer and dryer. He seen my son approach the cart and started to think that he was going to play with it when in reality he was only pushing it towards me to help. Then this guy started to point to the signs saying no running or playing in which my son was not doing this. The good is washing machines work great and you can use tap or buy a laundry card. The bad is the place never looks clean. Every time we have came to wash the place is a mess. They don't sweep or mop the floors and they forget to close the lint collector doors. Generally, when I come to use this laundromat, it is decent. Not extremely clean but decent. Also, I've never seen an attendant here which would explain why it looks like it does today. When you enter the door there is a huge puddle of detergent on the floor. Someone was kind enough to put a basket over the spillage. Then there is used garbage bags on top of the machines and empty detergent bottles also on top of the machines. It's usually not like this put today it's trashed. I've been here twice and both times there was an issue with the dryers. The first time the door to the dryer opened continuously never fully drying my clothes. Second time 55 minutes on the dryer, I come back to check more than 30 minutes in and the machine is ice cold. How are my clothes going to dry with no heat!!! Its almost 10pm and all the other laundromat are closed. If it werent for them staying open late and having the availability I wouldve given them no stars but I guess that why they are available and open late....smh.... waste of time. I normally visit the Well Laundromat in Ashland it's right next to the Domino's Pizza. I thought they were closed because they were having the parking lot re-paved so it was blocked off with tape. I decided to go ahead and try to visit another local laundry because I know they're close by. First when I walked in it's dimly lighted, there's water all over the floor, there's trash everywhere. I've seen in other photos on Yelp about Sun Laundry and seeing them have a cute kids area and well stocked vending machines in the past but today July 2022 this is a stark contrast. The prices seemed a bit high for the quality of the machines and the size of the machines as well. I decided not to wash my families laundry at Sun Laundry. Overall I wasn't happy with the way the Sun Laundry environment looked, smelled, and the feels that was going on especially the water on the floor. Beware of this place it hazardous. There were no signs caution trip signs for all the puddles of water on the floor so many trip hazards someone could and will get seriously injured. One thing I do like about Sun Laundry is that they are technology savvy and have updated the machines they do have to accept credit/debit cards making it super duper easy to wash if you don't wanna go they the hassle of getting cash. Therefore I gave this place two stars. Two ways Sun Laundry can improve would be to fix the issue of water pooling on the floor in front of some of the machines and secondly dropping the price to use the washers due to the age of the machines or if possibly if budget wise updating some of the washers and dryers. read more

Worst laundry place I ever been too. This place is a rip off. Machine started washing clothes without water. First load no water until the final rinse. Second load the other machine washed clothes with barely any water. My clothes came out half wet half dry with soap still on them. There was no one around to help or give a refund. Checked out a new laundromat place to wash our huge dog blankets and came across Sun Laundry. So they do not take quarters, you need dollar bills to go to their machine and fill up your own Sun Laundry card with money. Then you go to your washer/dryer, swipe the card and voila! There was an employee there the entire time we were washing and drying to help people out with their services. He made seemed genuinely nice and was attentive to everyone's needs, which was really appreciated. There were several people there but it wasn't hectic / super busy. We went in the evening time and that's when the half off discount applies. The cheapest we've washed and dried out stuff. There's vending machines with everything you may need for washing. There's also a small play area for kids in the back area with a TV for the little ones. read more

Instead of those pesky coins that make your hand smell all kinds of unpleasant... they use these cards [kind of like Dave & Busters..for laundry] Just go to the machine, insert $5,$10 or $20 depending on your load and voila you're good to go. Its re-usable so I usually write the amount left on the card for the next trip. Its cheaper than most other laundromats I've been to.. and its in the same plaza as Pizza Guys and a newly opened Quickly. read more

This is the cleanest , and one of the cheapest places I have ever done laundry. My favorite things is that after 7:30 pm the price of the washers drops by at least$.50 which adds up when you come every week and instead of needing coins you can put your money on a card much easier. read more

This place is the absolute worst!!!!! Two machines locked my clothes inside without started after I paid. One machine I was able to bang on for it to start washing. The other machine (one of the only two large machines in the entire facility) did not budge. After 30 minutes it reset to take more money but did not release the lock for me to remove my clothes. I paid the locked machine a second time to which the same thing happened. I called the number 7 or 8 times all of which went straight to a full voicemail which means they never checked Vm nor answer the phone. I also sent text messages including a video. I had to leave my clothes in the washer until I can return the next business day and unfortunately for me they are closed tomorrow so my clothes is sitting in their washer with detergent on dripping all over them for almost two days. Been coming here for a long time, and will probably keep coming here only because A) no coins B) the man who maintains the laundromat during the day, Henry, is a nice guy and my kids like talking to him and his dog. But I will say I've gotten into it before with some of the cracked out dumbasses that find their way in her every once in awhile just to use the bathroom. Especially in the early AM. They've now changed their hours though. Here I am at 6:30 am waiting outside the laundromat with locked doors....when their hours say 530 on weekends. So did you guys turn on the lights this morning and then lock the door. Seriously, wtf? This wouldn't usually bother me that much, except for the fact that I came last night at 9:50, last WASH is 10pm. I already washed my clothes at home, I only had to dry, I would have been in and out. But they were locking the door as I got out of my car. So they closed early. So now I've had wet clothes in my car all night and they're still not open this morning. Super clean, super affordable. Came in Monday night around 9:50. It's 10:20 and clothes are already drying. No coins you use a cash card which is perfect and saves time. Not sure how this place has so many stars. I ended up here because I missed last wash at my normal place and this place closes at 11. The no coin idea is cool until you're actually placing the card to pay the machines and you have to do it at least 4 times to get a reading. There are barely any carts here...inconsiderate people had their folded clothes in bags in these carts and when I asked someone to use their cart they said their ride was pulling up any moment. Machines are tiny and old as hell. I had a medium load and a small load and had to break it into 4 loads. Then damn near all the dryers are out of order. This place needs to either close or get a major renovation. Never again will I come here read more

My dryer and washer broke down, so i came here. The manager and customers themselves were all extremely kind and helpful. I was showed how to use the machine because they don't take card nor coins, only cash, but you put it on a card they provide at the laundromat. This place is a complete scam. I've been trying to contact management or the drunk that's supposed to monitor the location and have NOT received a call in return of my letters left on the office door. Its been 2 weeks and I finally caught up with the drunk that works here. He said he got my letters and gave them to the manager. I asked him to call while I was there and he said he was not willing to help me. He claims the manager is there on Saturdays but that's not true. I've been there the past 2 Saturday's and no one was there. Not even the drunk that's supposed to monitor the place. Some days the doors are not open for businesss. I will be back this Saturday and if the so called manager is not there and I'm given the run around again, I will happily go file a civil suit. Its stupid but necessary. Best place ever to get laundry done! Cheap and it does its job. Even cheaper if you start wash at 7:30pm. Do not recommend going on Sundays since it gets packed! Next to the T, pizza guys (awesome pizza) and a bubble tea place. Not enough big washers if you have a lot of laundry to do or have a lot of people there doing laundry.
