My family switched to Sparklizing when our cleaner nearby closed permanently (retirement related) about 1.5 years ago. The cleaner was fine and convenient. This last visit this weekend changed our mind and we will not return or ever recommend the business. My husband took a brand new shirt for pressing before an event. After getting the shirt home and removing the plastic, we noticed a visible spare on the shirt. We immediately got in the car and drove to the cleaner to see if they could fix the problem. Unfortunately, the owner would not take responsibility. His response was simply we didn't do it. Seriously? Why would we take a brand new shirt to get pressed, and not cleaned if it was dirty? The shirt was not purchased folded and we needed it for an event. I explained this to the owner and his response was the same- the mark on the shirt must have already been there when we took it in for pressing. There was absolutely no responsibility for their screwup. We knew that fixing the mark before our event was unlikely, but why wouldn't you own the error, fix you or your staff's mistake and apologize? This is simple if you want to keep a customer. Now look at the square mark on the shirt. Does that look like a mark that would come with a clean shirt? This is upsetting and ridiculous. It's not about the money because the cost of pressing a shirt is minimal, but it's the right thing to do. Additional note: I'm sorry, but the owner was anything but reasonable. My family chooses to shop local and in the neighborhood when it's an option, but your customer service is nonexistent. Yes, my husband asked that you correct your mistake and you refused. Your offer to make this right included you charging for the dry cleaning that was only required because of your work. We would never ask that any business, but in particular a small local business, give anything away. This however was different. We paid for a service and got a pressed shirt that someone on your end made dirty. You had an opportunity to make it right and your response was simple- it wasn't you. We were wrong. We were lying. You kept on insisting that we brought in a brand new dirty shirt for pressing. While I should have done it before we took our business to this cleaner, next time I'll spend time reviewing other customer reviews. I'm now not surprised to see other unhappy customers with similar experiences. This business doesn't accept responsibility for their subpar work. And please do not bad mouth other businesses in town - even those that have closed. Walnut cleaners closed because of retirement. My X husband and I went here for years. When we divorced I went in and told them I didn't want my cleaning under his name anymore and opened my own account. By doing so they more than doubled the price they had been charging me. I tried to explain its the same customer just split into two accounts and they insisted on the new rate. How do you go from charging someone $1.75 a shirt to over $4? I will never go back there. They lost a loyal customer. Very stupid business. read more

A friendly, family-run business, I have been coming here for years. Shirts are delivered on time as promised. However, my shirts come back smelling like body odor sometimes, I am guessing because they wash them with other people's clothes in cold water. They do not notify you when they raise prices, quietly handing you a higher invoice. They may be up to 20 minutes late when they are supposed to open up at 6:30 in the morning. They take the best, closest parking spot for themselves. Look out for their gray Hyundai Soltera parked right in front of the entrance all day, making all of their customers walk. read more

We have been taking our dry cleaning business to this establishment for over 20 years and have been greatly satisfied. They have a lot of loyal business from long time clients. They always do a great job! Whenever I tell them of stains on my clothes I acquired while traveling or eating they always can remove them. They always accommodate our special instructions on what we want done on particular garments. Most of all I like how they are able to meet the deadline commitments. I took a couple of dresses, coats, and a jersey in for dry cleaning late last week. The guy who helped me at the counter was super nice, and even spelled my name right on the first try. (That's a big deal, especially if you know my last name.) They damaged a piece of my clothing a few years ago and paid for the full retail price of the apparel based on my appraisal (I was reasonable). All my impulse jeans are nicely hammed by this cleaner. Absolutely perfect as I want to hammed with orginal piece of leg opening. Very neat and clean on sewing and cutting, can pick up fexible hours and done on time, super reasonable charge. Owner not much like to talk alot but it doesn't means not friendly. Beware! Sparklizing Cleaners has a laundering practice of labeling your shirts with your name (inside lower front) in permanent marker so that they can identify it after washing with other people's clothes. Many other cleaners will attach a tag to the shirt's button hole before washing to help identify each customer's clothes. Although, the name label is on the inside of the shirt and no one can see it, they still defaced and devalued expensive shirts without informing me beforehand that this is what they do. They did not give me a choice to decide if I am okay with this. Not informing customers of this type of practice before doing it is an unacceptable business conduct. It's quite ridiculous actually. I still gave them two stars because their price is cheaper and they do the job just fine. I would pay more to have tags used if they would just tell me this, but they don't give you a choice. Writing on private property without permission is outright vandalism and that is annoying. I won't be coming back to this place. Who knows what else they do without telling their customers. Use some cheap, toxic washing detergent? read more
