Pretty good! Service was awesome and friendly. We easily got extra bowls and takeout containers when we needed them. The chicken tenders are large, tender, and seasoned well. The fries came out crispy hot! A few were bordering on extra crispy aka slightly burnt. The sauce bar is amazing. Loved that we could try all of the sauces. My favorite was the Nashville hot. The BBQ tasted just like regular BBQ sauce and the buttermilk ranch was a bit disappointing. The custard is amazing--the chocolate is especially notable for a delicious extra chocolatey flavor from the Dutch cocoa. It's definitely a more relaxed place for a quick bite to eat. We're glad to have it in the neighborhood rotation for fried chicken tenders and sandwiches.
What a difference half a year makes! Thank you to Kyle for reaching out to me in regards to my experience and also to Audrey. I was able to go in this week and had the best sandwich. I ordered the deluxe chicken sandwich it was piping hot, but amazing. Customer service was efficient and friendly. Will definitely be coming back. I noticed the endless custard pints in the freezer might be worth a stop on the way home to throw in the freezer.
Always clean, great food. Staff is always helpful leading the way on new things. Ownership seems to be involved and that's all I need. And a pint of chocolate custard for home!
My husband and I love Super Chix. We go here for date lunches. When family and friends visit from out of town, we take them here. It's delicious and affordable. It's fast casual at its finest: you order at the counter, they make your food within a reasonable amount of time, and you consume it at your own pace. Options and freedom are the best, so I love the row of sauces from which you can choose. The chicken here is incredibly moist, and the servings of fries are out of this world. We have taken so many pictures of the outrageous amount of delicious fries we are served. My husband and I usually split five pieces of breaded chicken fingers and a large order of fries, and it is the perfect amount of food. I'm sorry to say that I've never tried their custard. We have a rule against eating in 2 out out of our 4 cars, and because we usually come here on a date occasion, it's usually one of the cars we can't eat in. One of these days, I'll be entrusted with a to-go custard! This parking lot isn't my favorite, because there are lots of speed bumps, and those are not friends to our lowered vehicles. Nevertheless: it's worth the possible bottom scraping for the chicken and fries.
Update from 06/23 visit: A quick lunch with the hubbs and our youngest son. I didn't have much of an appetite, but I was craving something sweet and salty. I ordered their pretzel and m&m shake and vanilla ice cream for our son. Hubby ordered a pastrami melt and fries. I stole a few fries, and everything was over seasoned. We waited too long for this order. There was only one other table waiting. We moved to two different tables due to sticky tables. I love their condiment bar. I would come back for a handspun shake, but will have to pass on their pastrami.
Food seems pretty fresh here. Their fried avocado sandwich is pretty cool if you're not craving meat. I think it's great they have a vegetarian friendly alternative.
When I am in the mood for a chicken sandwich, I come to super chix. The sandwiches are always cooked perfectly, I never have any weird chicken in my sandwiches. The fries are great. They use fresh potatoes for their fries. They have a whole variety of sauces to choose from from bbq, ranch, honey mustard, fry sauce, ketchup, and even Korean bbq sauce. The store has a lot of tables which is good because sometimes you have to search for a clean one. The service is hit or miss. Sometimes you have a guy who could care less about helping you, but they do because they have to, and sometimes you get someone super friendly. It's definitely a solid chicken sandwich if that's what you're in the mood for.
We drove by this place a few weeks ago and after looking it up, decided we would try it the next time we had a craving for fried chicken. Today was that day. We were disappointed to find out that they use peanut oil to fry both the chicken and fries. Since my wife has a peanut allergy, this left her in the cold. To be fair, Chick-fil-A also uses peanut oil, but they use 100% refined peanut oil. So my wife is able to eat their chicken without risking death. This place doesn't confirm if they use refined or crude, so we decided not to roll the dice. We got her some custard and bought some nuggets for her at Chick-fil-A afterwards. I ordered the Nashville Hot, the cheese fries, and vanilla custard. All of which were delicious. I'm glad I had the custard as the Nashville Hot was hot, hot, hot (in a good way)! The cheese fries are smothered in Queso Blanco (white cheese) and were perfectly crisp. I was on my own eating them, though, so I couldn't finish them. As much as I enjoyed my meal, I can't say we'll be back for the chicken. My wife accidentally took a sip of the water bottle I used after eating the chicken and her throat began to itch. This signals to me that the peanut oil they use is not refined. If she can't eat with me, I won't eat there. We will, however, likely return for the custard.

Everything is made to order and was very fresh. They offer a whole arrangement of sauces, which I thought was a nice touch. If you're in the sparks area and are looking for an above average fast food joint super chix is a great option!
While visiting Reno we were looking for a chicken place. We decided on Super Chix and it didn't disappoint. There was something for everyone. We ordered some Fried Chicken Tenders, Nashville Hot Sandwich, Cajun Fries, Salt Fries and a ton of sauces. My fav was the Korean BBQ. But other group favs were the Fry Sauce & Signature Sauce. For desert we decided on a Strawberry Shake & Peanut Butter Cup Fusion. Both absolutely delish!!!
Have you ever wanted a chicken sandwich on a Sunday with the same or better quality than Chik fil A? Look no further because Sparks now has another high tier chicken place. They got everything here, chicken, fries, sauce bar, custard it's almost like the five guys of the chicken world. I had the Nashville chicken sandwich breaded and I always use the spicy chicken to gauge a chicken place and I can say that I was left quite satisfied this chicken released an explosion of flavor in my mouth that left me speechless. Give this place a try before it starts getting too popular.
Good chicken for fast food. I had the coleslaw and it was fine. My husband had the fries and they were very good - lots of seasoning and lots of fries! I had the bacon avocado sandwich and it was tasty. Also had a custard- it was a nice ending to the meal we shared. I almost forgot one of the best parts! The sauces - a nice variety of sauces for the chicken and for the fries.
When we first walked in, the atmosphere was super inviting. the decor was a modern diner. We walked up to the counter and we're immediately greeted. The menu was simple and straightforward. They have chicken sandwiches, tenders/nuggets, fries, and custard shake. I ordered a deluxe breaded sandwich with fries and my husband ordered the Nashville hot breaded sandwich. I loved the flavour of my sandwich but I did not like how it fell apart halfway through. The Nashville hot was a good mix of sweet and spicy. The fries were the star of the show. They were just the right amount of crunch. This place was good and I would want to return to try something new.
So, there are no pictures of the delicious gouda stuffed avocado sandwich and rosemary salt fries because we gobbled them up as soon as we got home. The breaded avocado was melt-in-your-mouth tasty served on a toasted bun with garlic aioli. There is a full bar of sauces ranging from Korean BBQ, fry sauce and signature with at least 7 more that we didn't try. Korean BBQ was spicy perfection. The fry sauce tasted like Cane's sauce and the signature was very reminiscent of Chik-Fil-A. The service was super fast. We arrived around 3:45 and were out by 4. The ambiance is very clean and everything is well labeled (sauces, condiments and sodas). Booths and tables with chairs are available. Lastly, that frozen custard we brought home? Creamy delicious with a strong vanilla flavor and lots of cookie bits. We haven't tried the mint one, yet. read more

We were in Reno on vacation and was craving a nice salad and ended up here. It is in a nice plaza with plenty of parking. The place is pretty big, clean, and had a decent amount of seating. You order at the front and find a table to eat with your order number card. The worker was super attentive and friendly. They have tons of food options and we ended up getting the Southwest salad and the Asian sesame salad and a basket of fries. The salads were super delicious. The chicken was amazingly tender and all the ingredients were good quality. The portion of fries were really generous and I love how they offer so many different sauces. Would definitely want to come back whenever I am in town. read more

My wife has been eyeing this place on Yelp since it opened and we decided to check it out about 11:30am on a Saturday. This location has been open about a month and they specialize in Chicken & Custard which is located just under the name Super Chix on the sign. After entering you go to the order counter to the left where they have two order stations under the menu board. They also have a stack of paper menus you can review. My wife decided to try the chicken tenders and I settled on the Cheesy BBQ Chicken Sandwich. We ordered a large fry to share. When my wife asked about dipping sauces, we were told they are all located at the sauce station and we could try what we want. After paying we were given a numbered table marker and told we could have a seat. They said they would bring our order to us in about 10 to 15 minutes. They have various tables, booths, outdoor seating and did not appear to busy for eat-in. A few other table were seated. We did notice quite a few people picking up orders to-go. We picked a booth along the wall and then went to explore the sauce station. Sure enough, they have multiple sauces. We picked a few, grabbed some napkins and went back to our table. When our food arrived, we were very impressed, it looked awesome. As we began to eat, we both agreed this is delicious and a great concept. The chicken was delicious! We both also thought, we would come here before Chick-fil-A. And we really like Chick-fil-A! It appeared they had someone serving the dining area because he came to our table several times to check on us and even came rushing over to take our trays from my wife when went to take them to the garbage. We talked with someone who we believed was the manager. We learned they are a rapidly growing chain and they have plans for another location, probably in South Reno. Researching a little on my phone, we discovered this small chain was sold from Yum brands (the owners of KFC, Pizza Hut, Wingstreet, Taco Bell, and The Habit Burger Grill) to the creator of Super Chix, a prior Yum brands employee and a group of investors. The current CEO of Super Chix is a former Five Guys multi-unit franchisee. read more
I have to admit that I kept seeing good reviews with pictures of fries that made my mouth water. So, we decided to stop in. Glad we did. The place was bustling. The crew was hard at work. Our cashier was helpful as we needed help navigating all of the options they give to make the food just the way you want it. Service 10/10. The place was pretty clean considering the pace and customer count. The layout screams cafeteria-ish. The décor is interesting & worth taking a closer look at. Atmosphere 8/10 Grabbed a table and our food was out to us quickly. The menu consists of: great salad options, tenders, sandwiches, appetizers, custards (ice creams) they make on site. Everything is fresh not frozen and it is reflected in the quality of the food. Quality 10/10 The sauce bar is an awesome feature. The Korean BBQ is amazing. Taste 10/10. The fries did not disappoint and the sandwiches were good. A tad on the small side compared with some of the "national chicken chains." Certainly not the cheapest place to grab lunch, (nearly $40 for 2) but with fresh food and good service it is understandable why Super Chix is the popular spot right now. Price 7/10. Recommendation? Always excited to try a new chicken place.. Sleep deprived from the night before and still a little full from lunch.. Wanted to beat any kind of Friday evening rush.. Arrived before 5 pm, and a few customers in front. Menu is pretty simple, and easy to read. Went with the Korean chicken sandwiches, coleslaw, and French fries. Came to $31 before going back to get two cups of custard ($another 8.00).. My bun was cold, but the chicken was juicy and meaty. I really liked the coleslaw, and French fries.. I ordered the salt on the fries, but it was a little too salty. They have a case of custards with different flavor and I think it was 2 for $10.00.. Lots of staff on hand bussing tables, and saw the manager ask another table how the food was, but never came to us.. (we were behind tithe table).. If they had a drive thru for convenience or if they had a runner run out the online orders, I'd give another star. read more
I came here recently because my fiancé and I wanted to try something new. The chicken places in the area are overrated, or maybe we are just getting burned out on them. It was exciting to check out a new place and have a unique twist on the standard chicken and fries meal! We were greeted with very friendly employees upon walking in. They were very kind to us as they walked us through the menu and gave suggestions on what to order. I ended up getting the cheesy bbq chicken sandwich and my fiancé got the Buffalo fresh chicken tenders. We split a large fry with Cajun seasoning (warning it is a bit spicy!) and each got a custard (vanilla and pineapple). I love that there are so many options. The sandwich was so good and was a great portion size. We both thought the chicken was great quality for being a fast food restaurant. One of the employees who took our order even came to our table after to ask how we liked the food! Great service! Only suggestion I have for anyone ordering a custard is to order it after you finish your meal. We got our custards before we got our food, and they melted quite a bit by the time we got to eat them. Note that the food did not take long to get to our table (maybe 10 min.) Another point worth mentioning is they have a lot of sauce options!! That is the best part of the competitors restaurants, so it is nice that they have plenty of sauce options as well. It is at a sauce bar which is nice, so you don't have to ask employees for more sauce. Definitely recommend coming here! It is tasty food and good service. read more

I was super curious when I saw they were opening this place up in the new little building in Sparks. With it being a 2 minute drive from my house, it was definitely a must try on our books. If you are not from Sparks, this shop is located right next to the new Robertos and Starbucks on North McCarran and Prater , where FoodMaxx and Applebees is located. The place was fairly busy when we went on Saturday (7/17) around 1PM. Expected for a very new business that just opened a few days ago. First off, the place is cute, seating is 100% open and they have menus everywhere. It's a chicken joint , from salads, to chicken sandwiches, and chicken tenders. But this place specializes in their custards and their different sauces they have to offer. My Fiancé and I ordered a few things to try: -The Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich - The Buffalo Ranch Salad - Tenders - Hand-Cut Fries -Fried Pickles -Reeses Peanut Butter Custard We did all this to go since I was not feeling the greatest , but I did see other peoples dine in orders and they looked visually delicious. The food came out in a timely matter, not too long a wait and to be honest (even though it just opened) the service was actually pretty dang good here. As far as the food goes, I will be honest with you all and say that it was good... but not phenomenal to the point where I prefer it over Chick-Fil-A, which to me would be the place I'd compare this too. The Sandwich was good, just not something different that I have had already. The Buffalo Ranch Salad was just a average salad with their buffalo chicken over chopped lettuce, tomatoes , and a little bit of cheese. The fries were good as long as you dipped it in sauce and the fried pickles were also good if you had it with sauce. BUT I will say the Custard is so worth getting. It was actually delicious in my opinion and I am curious to try their key lime pie custard. The sauces are also worth the try. We def enjoyed the Nashville Hot sauce, honey mustard, and Korean bbq sauces they had and made everything 10x better. Overall, The shop is close enough to our house that if we want something different from Chick-Fil-A we will go to this place , especially for their custards. I do recommend this place for anybody that is in Sparks and wants something different from the fast food chain chicken joints. read more
So this review is for takeout only but everything was good enough where now I want to revisit for dine in and will update then. We ordered the fried pickles, chicken tenders, Nashville hot salad and frozen custard. The fried pickles were delicious but a little soggy by the time we got home-popped them in the air fryer and they perked right up! We had both the grilled and breaded tenders-I liked the breaded better but the grilled were also seasoned well. The chicken was large and tender-this is probably one of my top 3 places now for chicken tenders in Reno area. The salad was too spicy for me and I'll try another kind when I return. But the custard was AMAZING-creamy, rich-everything frozen custard should be. I mixed the vanilla and chocolate and it was delicious. Winner, winner chicken dinner! read more

This review is solely based on the food. I ordered their food via Door Dash, so I haven't been to the restaurant yet. Crispy Avo Salad - This salad has become a favorite. I loved everything about this. Let's talk toppings: breaded avocado stuffed with Gouda cheese is everything! It was a large full avocado, cut in half, stuffed with cheesy goodness, and was super delicious. Fresno peppers - at first I was hesitant because this kind of pepper was new to me and I had no idea what it tasted like. But I quickly became obsessed, reminded me of a jalapeño pepper but red and thinner, was mild in spice. It complimented the salad nicely, crunchy and had a hint of heat at the end. The tomatillo dressing was very flavorful, with the size of this salad, I needed another side of dressing. If you order this, don't forget to add more dressing! *note - I appreciated that they put the salad and the avocado in separate containers to avoid sogginess. Korean BBQ Chicken Sandwich - This was a pretty big chicken sandwich. Ordered it grilled, the chicken was flavorful. The Korean BBQ sauce was tasty, has a little kick to it. The crunchy pickles were a great addition. The slaw was disappointing, the sandwich only came with a small portion of it and I feel like I didn't get the full flavor profile of this sandwich. This sandwich definitely needed more slaw, doesn't look like the photo on their website (but what food really does). Looking forward to trying this breaded next time. Chicken tenders (breaded) - Definitely a must try. You can tell they're fresh and not frozen. I wouldn't say they're jumbo, but they're fairly big. You can order them in 2, 3, 4, and 5 pieces. I recommend getting more because they're good. You can get them breaded or grilled and tossed in two different sauces. Don't forget the dipping sauces! With an order of 4 tenders, we got to choose up to 4 sauces, which was awesome. You can order more sauces for $0.29/ea. Not sure these tenders should be at their current price point, a little overpriced for what you get (4 piece for $10.99). They don't come with fries, just a la Carte. Fries - Nothing like fresh hand cut fries! I love everything about these fries! Perfectly soft and crispy. They come in 2 sizes: regular and large! Go big on the fries! You can get them tossed in your seasoning of choice: we tried the rosemary pepper and they were on point. They also have salt, pepper, & sweet seasonings (fries tossed in salt & sugar - not to be mistaken with sweet potato fries). Sauces - Ok, we had to try almost all of the sauces. I liked them all, you definitely need to order a dipping sauce party when you eat here. I think it's great that you can order their sauces by the pint too. - Signature sauce: sweet, smoky, makes for a good fry sauce - Honey Mustard: one of the best I've had. Perfectly sweet and tangy - Buffalo: if you like a good Buffalo sauce, you will love this - Nashville Hot: if you like spicy, this is your sauce - Korean BBQ: tangy, spicy, with a hint of sweetness They have frozen custard with a variety of flavors. Unfortunately, I can't have dairy, so I didn't get to indulge. Hopefully they can add a dairy free option to their menu soon. Overall: It was a good first experience. Food was tasty. This chicken spot is soo good! Husband and I agreed that it tastes like chick fil a on steroids! I ordered a simple chicken slider, chicken tenders, fries and a chicken tender kids meal. The brownie that came with it was AMAZING! The chicken meat tastes fresh, cooked with peanut oil (sorry those with allergies- be advised). The amount of available dipping sauces was the best part! If you have not been here, it's a must try. A little on the pricey side but filling and you will have left overs if you no longer have room in your stomach haha!! The staff were friendly and patient when trying to figure out what I wanted to order hahaha lots of seating, TVs playing sports, and clean environment. Check it out! read more

Decided to finally come into Super Chix after it kept catching my eye on the way home from work on McCarran Blvd. Loved our everything was set up inside and the decor of the restaurant. The "Sauce Bar" was one of my favorite things and loved the variety of sauces to choose from. Very tasty as well. I shall say that it is a tad bit on the pricey side as my meal ended up being over $16, but besides that. Everything was delicious and the staff were very friendly. I ordered their Hand Breaded Chicken Deluxe Sandwich with a side of fries and a drink. Loved the garlic aioli on my sandwich! Very good, along with their fries as I got their signature and fry sauce to try along with those. I would definitely come back to Super Chix. The place is phenomenal, staff had great customer service and the food was excellent. Can't wait to come back and try something new. Thank you! read more
Good place to go to satisfy your chicken sandwich/tender craving! The thick and crunchy breading on the chicken was amazing. One of my favorite parts about this place is their sauce bar. While you're at it, get the custard. This is the best place to get custard in Reno. I got the Reeses flavor (flavor of the week) and it was as smooth as butter! If I'm in the area and am craving chicken tenders or custard, I'll make my way to this place. read more

It had been a while but came back the other week and ordered the cordon bleu and 2 piece grilled tenders to go. They have a lot of flavors of custard in containers now, 2 for $10 I think, but I didn't realize they only have 3 on a dialy basis. Chocolate, Vanilla and the flavor of the week/month. Just and FYI, cause I didn't know that. Anyways, I waited, got my food and left. While driving I ate the two piece grilled tenders. I will say these are already different than when i last got them. A little more flat/pressed, and sort of gummed up spices on it. Still good, but not like before. I then went to eat my sandwich and realized that they gave me the wrong one. The receipt on the bag said the samething (crispy chicken avocado sandwich). I ended up turning around and going back in, where the guy who checked me out (i think is the owner?), looked at the receipt and hugely overapologized. I honestly was ready to pay for the correct sandwich b/c i hadn't seen that he rang me up wrong. He had them make my sandwich over without ANY issues, realizing he accidentally hit the wrong button when compiling my order. When I got out to the car I saw they added in the 2 piece grilled tenders again too, unnecessary and maybe a mistake? But it was nice to get the correct sandwich, which i love, gigantic and filled up. While I enjoy the food, I just really appreciated the customer service particularly on this visit with the mistake. The employee apologized a lot for the mistake and I kept reassuring that it wasn't a big deal, i just wanted the right sandwich for craving reasons. We came here for a late night snack the other day. We got their loaded fries and a to go pint of frozen custard. Their loaded fries are sooo good - smothered in queso blanco, bacon, and green onions. When you order to go, they also put the toppings on the side for you - no soggy fries here. Their frozen custard is the perfect texture. The chocolate covered strawberry flavor is super rich in the chocolate flavor, but gets perfectly balanced when you get a bite with a strawberry. The mint Oreo flavor is amazing as well! read more

When we arrived at Super Chix there were only 4 other people eating in so we decided on an eat in order. We ordered the Deluxe (with breaded chicken) and Bacavo Ranch (with grilled chicken) sandwiches, fries and a Reeses peanut butter cup cold fusion to share. When our food was brought out, no fries? Apparently although we had a whole conversation about ordering just 1 fry to share (in front of the cashier) she missed putting it on the order. We decided to just go without and have our sandwiches which were actually really good. The chicken was tender and juicy on both. The cold fusion was nothing special, just like basic ice cream with Reeses pieces on top. The restaurant is clean with music playing in the background, parking right in front, but it is, in my opinion pricey for what you get. Gave 4 stars for the cleanliness of the restaurant, the speed in which our food was brought to our table, and the tastiness of the sandwich. read more

I love the addition of Super Chix in Sparks. The customization of your food options is really nice and they have TONS to choose from. My two favorite sandwiches have to be the Korean bbq or the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. I also add coleslaw to the Korean Bbq one and it is 10/10 stars. They have two different sizes of fries and they also have three different seasonings and the option for loaded fries.... on top of all their sauces available at the condiment table. Talk about flavor options! My only complaint is that it's fairly pricey for "a chicken sandwich and fries" BUT the flavors are so fantastic it makes for a nice treat. read more
Well, we revisited the Sparks NV Super Chix on May 21 2022, two weeks after our first visit. We both ordered the fried filets and one order of fries. Wow- the chicken is SO juicy, and the fries were unexpectedly HUGE and done perfectly. We tried all their dips- Buffalo, Signature, Ranch, Korean BBQ. Our favorite was the Signature, but really, they were all delicious. Gabriella, as well as all of the other employees there, are remarkably friendly and helpful. After our meal, we purchased a pint of their Chocolate Covered Strawberry custard to go. I HIGHLY recommend this flavor, but we will try the 6 or so other flavors in the future. The restaurant is very clean and bright ( LOVE the bright yellow ducting in the ceiling... most establishments try to hide it by painting them flat black- no imagination!). The tables were super clean, and this time I noticed how simple their credit card terminal really is- NO problem using it. I must have been in a hurry last time. All in all, this is a GREAT place to meet someone here for lunch during the work week, or for a leisurely weekend lunch or dinner. read more
