Place an order and they forgot to make one of the items. By the time my food was done the rest was getting cold. The smash burger fries were bland all around and after a few bites had to stop because it just wasn't it. Not sure if this was due to them rushing to make the missing order or what? From the cashier with the wet cardboard personality, the overly strong and sickly smelling plug in air freshener wafting through the air, to the overpriced and bland chicken they sell I question how anyone likes this place when Dave's Hot Chicken is up the road in Sparks. I hate to be so critical but the vibe just felt off from the moment I walked in. I should have trusted my gut and left but I wanted to try a different place to eat and left 35 bucks poorer and threw away my Tender Box order after trying to eat one tender. Personally I have had hit or miss meals. When not over cooked the chicken tenders are juicy and good, but if not they can be dry and hard to eat. The toast was really thin, would have preferred it cooked a little less. The Crazy Fries are magical. They're loaded fries covered in chopped up fried chicken tenders, and then smothered in cheese sauce, crazy D's house sauce, and a seasoning that reminds me of old bay. They're unlike anything you've ever had and so dang delicious. I order the mild and my husband orders the hot. They don't label the containers so if you order two different spice levels just look between the two and you'll be able to tell which one is more hot. read more

I had the pleasure of attending a huge Yelp elite event with 75 +/- food and drink vendors. It was great! I was happy to see Crazy D's there. They were giving away huge chunks of fried chicken tenders, with their must-have signature sauce. Of alllllllll those vendors at the event, Crazy D's was one of the best BY FAR! But post Covid prices has just gone insane. on their menu they have four chicken sliders for $30. no fries, no drinks. The cargos a family pack... My biggest complaint is the prices. 3 chicken Sammy's, fries and crazy fries = $45. I just don't think 1 chicken sandwich is worth $8.50. But it is really good food!!! read more

The Giant Slider I got doesn't really match the other pictures and reviews here... so I added a pic. The tender was 1/3-1/2 the size of the bun, it didn't extend past the bun, and there wasn't any coleslaw. I ordered medium, and it really didn't have any spice to it. Compared to other hot chicken places in town (not considering mainstream fast food chains), I'd say their menu is more affordable. And that's actually the reason why my sister and I ended up coming here to grab dinner. The place is small and I consider it a more "grab and go" place. We put in an order on the phone and the person who took my order was very nice. I often get a level lower than my usual spice tolerance because I found this chain to be inconsistent with their spice level. Sometimes you get a tender less spicy or more spicy than you ordered. Ex. we ordered a country style tender for my stepmom but it was still spicy; another time, we ordered a medium tender and it wasn't spicy enough. Crazy D's isn't my favorite hot chicken spot but it's enough to get the job done. read more

Pretty terrible. We love the location down by Atlantis. It's the most consistent and quality by far. This one is just closer so we get it occasionally and it REALLY disappointed tonight. We ordered the 2 slider combo and I believe all seasoning was forgotten - on both the chicken and fries! So everything was really bland. The chicken breading was somehow extremely burnt in some spots and not others. And each sandwich had the tiniest amount of slaw and sauce ever seen. So disappointed I spent money on this. read more

Oof... this one hurts. I have been a HUGE fan of Crazy D's in the past. I tell everyone I know that these are the best tenders in town. During that big chicken sando craze, I always took a detour and opted for Crazy D's because it was so good. But that was always the other location. After the experience we had at the University Terrace location, there's a good chance we won't be back. So we ordered everything online and went to pick it up around the time it said it would be ready. When we got home, we opened everything up and discovered a number of issues: we ordered a wings combo that was supposed to come with fries and alas, no fries in the box. The giant slider had no pickles on it (one of the best parts!) The chicken itself was so dry, it was hard to chew and swallow. On top of that, we ordered the "medium" spice level and there was absolutely no spice to the chicken - I think the seasoning was left off completely. My daughter's Mac n cheese was definitely the best part of the meal. I reached out to the location twice about the issues and never heard back. I really wanted to give the business an opportunity to make things right, but got crickets in return. Such a bummer to be burned by one of my favorite spots in Reno. I'm writing to express my deep disappointment and concern regarding an experience I had at Crazy D's in Reno today. I asked politely if I could have some honey with my order, and was shockingly met with an inappropriate and racist response a male employee. He told me, "I don't know where you from, where is your home, we don't sell honey. Just go back home where you from." This was extremely hurtful and unacceptable. I am just trying to enjoy my food and leave and when all I did was ask for a condiment is not only offensive, but discriminatory and completely unprofessional. This was not my first negative experience at Crazy D'a either. The first time I visited, I walked 3 miles only to be told there was no chicken ready. The second time, I arrived right at opening time, 11 AM, and was told there fryer wasn't ready yet. TodY, not only was I met with rudeness and cold chicken that looked like it had been sitting on the rack for a while until I ordered, but I also experienced direct racism that left me disappointed I don't normally write complaints, but I believe people should be aware of how this location treats its customers. No one deserves to be spoke. To like that, no matter where they are from. I hope Crazy D's takes this seriously and implement better training, oversight, and accountability so that no other customer has to experience what I did. Thank you. read more

I don't understand what happened but I got almost warm french fries and I asked for ketchup because the container was empty (I never did get it), which was fine since I didn't eat the fries. I wanted to wash my hands so I went to the restroom and I just walked out. The restroom was very dirty, towels on floor, dirty toilet and just not sanitized. The garbage was over flowing and to my surprise it did have soap and paper towels. As much as I enjoy the chicken I can't go back there. Was delicious! I had ate inside the hotel dining and that experience was horrible. It was disappointing, but when I yelped "Restaurants", I came across Crazy D's Hot Chicken! I'm from the Bay Area and I'm familiar with "Hot Chicks" which is very similar to crazy D's. I was high and had the munchies. Had to drive back to restaurant and asked if they could fix the problem and they just dashed my already eaten chicken with seasoning.
