I'm so glad we decided to give it a try. We have several anime fans in our household, so it was exciting to recognize all the characters displayed throughout the restaurant. The kids loved them too! We were greeted immediately when we walked in, and every staff member was incredibly kind and attentive. After ordering at the counter, we took our number and found a slightly wonky--but charming and sturdy--solid-wood table. Different movies were playing on the TVs, which kept the kids entertained while we waited for our food. We ordered sushi and ramen, and my ramen was exquisite. I believe it was called the Dark Knight, and it was absolutely delicious. I was also pleasantly surprised to see Orion beer on draft. Having lived in Okinawa, where the brewery is based, it was wonderfully nostalgic and added another layer of authenticity to the experience. Everything about our visit was wonderful, and we'll definitely be dining here again. They also advertise special events inside the restaurant. I don't remember the details, but I'll be sure to check them out during our next visit!

Once we sat down and placed our orders, things initially seemed fine. But then the service slipped. When I asked for water, they only brought out three cups, just for the kids. We had to ask multiple times before my wife and I finally got ours. Most of the food arrived, but my eldest daughter's meal was completely missing. After we inquired, it took another 15 minutes for it to come out. It really felt like they had forgotten half our order. The fried rice and broth arrived even later. On the positive side, the food tasted fresh and was genuinely good overall. What really stood out negatively, though, was the staff's response every time we said "thank you." Instead of "you're welcome" or "no problem," it was always just "Yep!" It came across as dismissive and disrespectful. The food options were limited and keep in mind for those who have children, most of the options come with a spicy kick, you'll have to explicitly tell them "no spicy"! With my ramen the portions are tiny for what you pay, with 1 piece of meat, not enough noodles. Flavor wise it was spicy and bland. We ordered a couple appetizers which were not very good. The edamame was overly salty and soaked in soy sauce and the karaage was probably the only good thing and that was a little overfried. Overall great first time experience at Ramen Mik as service was great, plenty of seating and parking making it very accessible.
