We were excited to try this place with all of the hype on Yelp. It was a Sunday morning and there was a crowd outside. They told us it would be a 25 min wait and it was more like 15min. Walked inside and it had a great vibe and great modern décor. Our waitress was awesome. You could tell she was trying to be super friendly and she was doing a great job. I ordered the house bloody mary and it was just that very basic and that was ok. I ordered the chicken and waffle and my wife ordered the avocado toast. Chicken and waffle was excellent but it left me wanting more. It was one waffle with a small chicken breast. Flavor A+. The wheels came off at the avocado toast. The texture and taste strongly resembled the tub of avocado spread from Costco. It lacked flavor. It had some lettuce on it to make it look like there was more than the smear of avocado that was on the piece of toast. Service and Ambiance A . Food was a C for us. read more

Our 2nd time having breakfast here was not a disappointment. The first visit was outstanding and so was this one. Server was great and very quick to give us our water and my coffee and never let our cups go empty. We ordered a veggie omlette which was really good and came with ample potatoes and toast which we shared. It was plenty of food for us both. Whatever you order, get a side of pancakes! Their pancakes are the best! The bar makes great drinks and the service is always friendly and timely. We visit here a lot and like to try new menu items. My favorite is the Greek Avocado toast with two eggs on top...and of course a short stack of pancakes that I share with my wife. read more

My wife and I had an oil change done nearby, and I asked if she wanted breakfast. She said she did, so I looked at what was near and the Sunshine breakfast bar showed up. We had a wonderful meal, she had a dirty chai latte with almond milk with her blueberry bacon pancakes. I had a white chocolate mocha along with the classic Benedict. Everything was very tasty, although I had a couple of very small eggshells on my plate. Our server wanted to take it back, but I told her I could just eat around them and it was no problem. While my pup was getting neutered at PAWs( fabulous place for economical spay and neutering) I decided to try a new breakfast romp in the adjoining plaza. Yolk Cafe is beautifully decorated with many stylish characteristics. From the clean lines of the booths, the comfort of the chairs, to the eclectic lighting, the ambience is relaxed, functional and welcoming. The bathrooms are tucked away through a sunshine walk down the hallway. They are clean, hands free in every way. I had the opportunity to speak to one of the managers as I complimented them on the style of the restaurant. I was informed that the kitchen was state of the art with hands free appliance controls for the cooks and that all ingredients are sourced locally. Service was attentive and kind, and adherence to covid guidelines in place with barriers installed attractively that look liked they were purposely placed and designed inconspicuously. When I mentioned that I was disappointed that my French toast didn't have a cinnamon taste, I was quickly rewarded with a batch of two of the restaurants other French toast choices. One made with a cinnamon bun and the other with a croissant bread. The cinnamon bun was absolutely delicious! The fresh fruit I ordered on the side was fresh and pleasing and the whipped creme nice and light! Overall, this place is a nice local and community friendly breakfast establishment that is sure to please everyone from adults, kids and grandparents! read more

We stopped by Sunshine Breakfast Bar for the first time and were overjoyed at the experience! The parking lot was full, so we parked around back near some other businesses, but we were happy to see there were still tables available inside for our late breakfast. The staff was fast, friendly and nimble as they all weaved their way through the establishment to serve all the tables seemingly at once. It was a pleasure in these times of staff shortages to see a restaurant brimming with enough staff to support every table and the bar. Yes, there is a nice little bar which we didn't partake in, but it looked well equipped to make a mean Bloody Mary while you sat to watch your favorite game or whatever. The coffee was out immediately and our orders were out almost as quickly. All of us were audibly impressed by the look of our omlettes and the amazing fresh sourdough toast that they came with. My Southwest omlette with chorizo was perfectly put together and had the nice touch of melted sliced cheese on top instead of your standard shredded. The ladies both got Greek omlettes which they both devoured with delight. The fresh baked bread, sourced from a local baker was so delicious that my fiancé ordered a side of her own after stealing a bite of mine It's in a great little location for us northwest-siders to meet east valley friends right off Cave Creek and the 101. The place is incredibly delicious. I don't know what they use on their potatoes, but holy smokes, they are the best potatoes I've ever tasted. We had a great breakfast at Sunshine Breakfast Bar, it was around 09:30 and the place was filled with people. We were greeted by smiles and good service, got a good booth and a young smiling staff came right away and took our order of drinks. After she left another lady came over and chatted with us and gsve her recommendation. Everything was so friendly manner and we felt we were welcomed. We had both coffee, fresh orange juice, pancakes with fresh blueberry and bacon topped with whipped butter and syrup. Delicious!! We will go back tomorrow!! read more

The pancakes were underdone and you could tell the batter was over-mixed, it was flat and rubbery versus light and fluffy. The drinks were probably the best thing we tried!
