Service was okay. View was nice. Seating was good for us. Music was good. Chicken sandwich was very tasty, burger as well, and shrimp not so much. Beer was cold. They have a bunch of smoothies on the menu that they don't have. Can't do virgin drinks other than a strawberry daiquiri due to them being made in drink machine.
Afternoon drinks on a beautiful sunny day. Part of the Ocean Key resort. Sitting on pier. Taking it all in. Life was really good. Low key live music Service was good. Drinks were flowing . Worth a stop
There are many less touristy places that have less expensive food and the same sunset. That said if you just want a key west experience then walking out onto this pier for sunset is a must! Food is good, drinks are good and views and service are great!
We happily got a small high top outside just before the sun was setting. What an amazing view to have at dinner. Went for an easy burger order. The food was great. The margaritas were perfect, not too sweet! Our server(s) were great. Zero complaints and will definitely be back on my next visit
The Sunset Pier is adjacent to Mallory Square. It is very casual. We were the first ones on the pier. The chairs were stools, which I find very uncomfortable, also the pier gets quite hot. There were a number of chairs with backs. Randi, our waitress, was great and didn't rush us while we decided on our drinks, and food. There was music as you got closer to Sunset. Try the Key Lime Pie. It is the official pie of Florida. We walked back to Mallory Square for the Sunset, but you can enjoy the Sunset right from the Sunset Pier, and enjoy the band.
If you want to have a great time and watch the sun set on the west coast while in key west, this is your place to go!!! We sat out on the pier and you can see the beautiful gulf. The sunset here was gorgeous! The food was great, but I was so busy taking in the views that I forgot to snag pictures. They have draft beer, bottle and a full bar. Lots of local craft beers as well. They have a great stage for live music and room for a dance floor on the pier. Our server was so fun, even dancing with us. She also recommended several other good spots to check out while we were there. Definitely a must do when in Key West!
Perfect place to enjoy a meal with a view in Key West. The atmosphere is laid-back with live music, colorful seating, and unbeatable sunset views right over the water. Food and drinks are good, with quick service but it's really the location that makes this spot special. Great place to just sit back, relax, and take in the island vibe.
Nothing fancy, but as the name states, Sunset pier is the best place to watch the sunset. Arrives early, order some drinks and apps and stay for dinner with live music. Service is average, but the food was good. Ceviche, mahi mahi sandwich and tacos, tuna poke, were the stars of our experience second to the sunset of course
We got the lobster roll and poke bowl and both were great! Ambiance was exactly what we were looking for with the live music, breeze, views and chill vibes. Also got a Bloody Maria that was pretty good too. French fries were a bit salty and lobster roll didn't have mayo which was different but delicious. Definitely recommend coming here and maybe even for the sunset too.

Happened upon this because we heard the Key West Chick Fest was playing there. Was looking to watch the sunset in Mallory Square but recognized we were very close to SSP. Just had drinks so can't comment on the food, but the setting along the water, listening to music, and watching the sunset is awesome (and the drinks were good too).

Did not come for sunset, but stopped by for lunch on a Saturday and had a great time. The male bartender was awesome, easy to chat with, and made delicious drinks. He constantly kept making sure we were taken care of even when they started getting busy. We tried some of the smaller plate options and they were a win all around. Pretzels and the shrimp tostada Obviously the view is beautiful and the colorful chairs and tables with the island music paints the perfect picture!
This place was super cool. We were celebrating my wife's 40th and had great live music playing the background, soccer game on the TV and good beer. We had the chickens sandwich which was ok, but overall the ambiance of the place was amazing. Watching the sunset with the rest of the tourist was pretty amazing as well lol. Service was great, walked in with my own couple of beers and was never told to not drink them at the bar. Then when I was don't I was asked what new did I want to drink. A very high 3 point something. I love the atmosphere here. It is a great spot to get a nice frozen drink and watch the sunset. It is a little pricey, but I think the spectacular view is worth it. I have always like to watch the yachts, jet skis, and all sorts of leisure boats passing by. Plus, they have live entertainment. I am not a big fan of the food. Service can be a little slow, but that's how it is in the Keys. Just pop by to grab a cocktail and watch the boats zip by as the sun sets. read more

Ocean breeze, live music, friendly staff! Sunset pier is always a good idea. The laid back atmosphere and beautiful ocean views make you feel like you're on vacation. The bites are decent, but the true appeal is the feeling of casual relaxation, Caribbean colors and music entertainment. Tends to get crowded at sunset. read more
The sunset was magnificent! We sipped on refreshing drinks while taking in the views and listening to the live music. We did not have to wait for a table to open up, we just walked up to the table we wanted and the waitress came over to us soon after we sat down. I wish they were open later in the night. Seemed a little weird to close at 8:30p. However, they did not kick us out and let us enjoy our drinks. Enjoy, xo! read more
Still beautiful views of the sunset. Great bar. But it gets packed and hot. You have to get there a little early to get a decent spot. Don't show up at sunset and then push thru people. I've seen it and that is just rude. Plan accordingly. read more

Loved this environment. Beautiful view. Lots of seating. Music almost always. Great place to see the sunset. Drinks a delish. I love that you can sit and relax and spend time with family or friends. Although I didn't try food here, everyone's else's looked really good. And you can get a drink in a coconut! Great souvenir! read more
A group of us wanted bloody marys, and someone in the group swore this place made the best she'd ever had. When we showed up, the bartender was immediately and palpably hostile for no reason. My friend got her drink and barely wanted it because of how rude the service was. I ordered a bloody Maria, and before I could tell her what tequila I wanted, she started pouring crappy gold tequila. Nobody else in the group wanted a drink because of the rude bartender, so we left. read more

At 0 Duval Street this is one of the best spots in Key West for a sunset. We were lucky to get a table. We ordered drinks and a slice of key lime pie and watched the sun setting overlooking the boats on the Gulf side. The pie was delicious and took lots of photos. read more

This place is truly magical. My mom had a drink here in the 80's that she's never forgotten, so naturally, it was our first stop. We were able to snag a table although the sunset had started, and we're served immediately by one of the friendliest servers I have ever had while traveling, Kaydee. Lo and behold, it was only her third day on the job! She was very attentive and bubbly, and very helpful for things to do in key west. The band that night was a reggae one and incredible! Such a good experience, we also came back the next night to listen to Sheldon (also incredible) and have more yummy drinks and desserts. Kaydee is a treasure! Very, very good experience overall. As I went to spend my day in Key West, it was in my main to do list to stop by Sunset Pier just for the view. Nothing more or less lol. But I went in and go myself a Piña Colada and LET ME TELL YOU!!!! Customer Service: meh It was ok! Nothing top notch. We waited a little bit until someone noticed us. I mean its a pretty big place so I get it. But the young lady that helped us was pretty nice. She helped us with directions and stuff. So she was cool. The area where they are, the signal is really really bad and we asked them for Wifi but their electricity system was down. That sucked. Drink: This was the best Piña Colada I have ever had in a while. PERIOD. Price: The Piña was $11. I thought that was fair and the cup was pretty big too. Bonus: they don't use plastic straws because of environment issues and I thought wow if only all restaurants would think about it like that so that was super cool. But on that bad side of it their paper straw after a while in my very icy drink started to bend a little and not being as helpful because its paper. So I think they should look into a more resistent straw. read more

We just happened to walk by the Sunset Pier and decided to check it out. We scored a table on the pier, ordered our food and drinks and watched the parade of sailboats, tour boats, paddle boats, and floating tiki bars that cruised by the pier. If you time your visit right, you can watch an amazing sunset from your table. We were at the Sunset Pier on a Saturday night and the singer was fabulous. Not only did he sing some great classic songs, he sang them with so much soul and passion, it was a pleasure to listen. It didn't take too long for our food to arrive. The waitresses don't deliver the food to the table. The kitchen staff brings the food out, so the waitresses don't have to go back and forth from the kitchen. I think that this helps get the food to the tables quicker. Our waitress Beata was sweet and we had fun talking to her. We had a very leisurely dinner, which was good because we were waiting for the sunset. And lastly, the food - The hamburger was very good, and had lots of bacon! The grilled corn is a great alternative to the typical side of fries. Of course, I had to order key lime pie. It was delicious and very rich. You can't beat the Sunset Pier for atmosphere and scenery. And the food is good too! read more
Sunset Pier on zero Duval Street, Key West is one of the places on the water you can order a drink, listen to a live band and watch the sun set. However, don't know if we were unlucky, but the service was terrible! Great place to watch a sunset even though there was no sunset this evening. Had a Bacardi's rum punch and a beer along with the conch fritters. Conch fritters were seasoned well conch was chewy as most conch is. The rum punch was absolutely awful, tasted like straight Hawaiian punch; I doubt there was any alcohol in it at all in the full 32 ounce mini pail serving - definitely do not waste the $16 on this drink! read more

Great spot to hang out and watch the sunset. I would recommend to arrive early (~1 hr before sunset) because seats get taken up very quickly around that time. The drinks + food were pricey but overall tasted good (not GREAT). It's not really a place to have dinner but more like a pre-dinner drink spot with live music. They do have options for dinner meals but more like burgers, sandwiches, tacos. Overall had a nice time watching the sunset, different boats passing by, and floating tiki huts. read more

My husband and I came here for the sunset and it was the perfect place! What a view! Oscar was our waiter and he was great, despite being so busy! The food was delicious. We ordered the mahi sandwiches and yuca fries. Very very good. The live band was INCREDIBLE! The best music - I am Cuban and the musicians really could sing some of the best Latin hits as well as play the guitar! Definitely stop here - you won't be disappointed!! read more

Crowding in around Mallory Square trying to find a seat, getting harassed by street performers with no shady spots in sight is really not my scene so I was happy when we stumbled onto Sunset Pier after one of those glorious Key West all day bar hopping crawl. The vibe was fantastic! It was not overly crowded. The band was ON THE MONEY! Seemed appropriate to order a couple of Pina Coladas as we watched the sun slowly sink into the sea and the ships come home to dock. The sunset view was nearly as good as Sunset Island (the exclusive, pricey island you usually see the sun settle behind from Key West). What more do you need? read more

I almost hesitate to write this review, out of fear that too many people will find out about this place! Two weekends ago, my dad and I took a random day trip down to Key West. As many times as he's been there, he had never visited Mallory Square for sunset (I don't know how that's possible, but he's a strange duck). So we walked in around 7 pm, watched a street performer get in an argument with some jerk tourists, and were about to settle in on the pavement by the water to watch the sunset. But that's when I looked to my right, and saw an entrance on the dock of the Ocean Key Resort that said "Sunset Pier." Just beyond the open gate, I spotted a bartender at a tiny setup with a few taps of beer. Intrigued, we headed over there, and were surprised to find several empty tables right along the edge on the narrow dock. We asked if it was self seating, and it was, so we grabbed one of the tables -- all of which had a completely unobstructed view of the sunset. We waited 5-10 minutes for the waitress to come over, but when she didn't, I went and sought someone out. She told me our waitress would be right over. I am guessing the self-seating part might have something to do with that, and we were at one of the tables farthest away from the bigger portion of the pier with the bar and a live band playing. We ordered some drinks and a bit of food. I chose a pina colada and, since I wasn't very hungry, I just got their Mexican corn on the cob. My dad got a beer and a burger. The corn was quite good, the burger was just okay, and the condiments were sketchy because they sit in the heat all day long. I put mustard on a bite of my dad's burger, only to realize it had gone bad -- it had an extreme vinegar taste and was an off yellow/brown color instead of the regular bright, pale yellow. The star of the show was absolutely the pina colada. This is probably the best one I've ever had... and not just because of the view. It was perfectly balanced: not too weak, not too strong, and deliciously creamy. My dad was impressed enough with a taste of mine to order one for himself, and I decided to have a rare treat and get a second one as well as the sun went down. As for the sunset view, it's unparalleled. Yes, you can get an identical view for free just feet away at Mallory Square, but you'll be huddled with the masses and sitting on concrete for it. This was absolutely worth it to enjoy some drinks and take as many photos as you want... and with plenty of elbow room. read more
