Horrible food, horrible customer service, dirty, filthy, I mean it's a busy place so you know they're making good money to keep this place clean, as soon as you walk in, all the employees talking over each other, everyone of them has an attitude like they're in 5 star hotel, it's a family joint place be nice to your customers and to each other, food was so oily and everyone touches your bread before it even makes it to your plate, the waffle was cold and hard, you could easily break a tooth with it, the blueberries and the strawberries, weren't even washed because you could taste it, disgusting, the waitress touches everything and then your food too, coffee cups regular cups and forks and spoons are not even clean, you could easily find the stains, it's not even organized, I mean so many people work there, keep the area clean, that's how people get sick, keeping a restaurant clean and organized makes people want to come back again and again, but not this place, never ever going back, disgusted!!!!!!! read more

Went back for breakfast and found it to be very good when looking at a diner style breakfast. Portions were generous as they were with dinner. Potatoes were not the style I typically like. They were too soft, no crispy brown to seen. A person in our party ordered the waffle with fresh fruit and was enjoyed so much, not a bite was left. Can't beat the price for the value. Grabbed dinner on a Friday night, walked in at 8:09pm - they close at 9pm - seemed as if they didn't want to seat us or feed us. We were a party of 4 and specifically went to a diner for a quick me with no plan on spending a great amount of time. Unfortunately since we felt so rushed the whole time it took away from the food which was actually really good! Have not been here in a few months. Decided to get a breakfast sandwich. It was pretty decent and a great price, but it seemed like the waitress could care less. Upon entering I wasn't greeted with a hello but with a "what do you want"? Sorry I am bothering you. After a few minutes she threw the menu on my table while passing. All the while she was complaining to other staff about "these fucking people" and "where the fuck is the bus cart". Not sure if she is the owner or what, but definitely needs some customer service skills. Not going back because of it. read more

Employees are wonderful. Food is good and plentiful, which is why one goes to a diner. I'm fond of the Souvlaki Platter with French Fries.

I've been coming here for years. One of the friendliest owners and staff you'll ever experience in a diner. Any time of day, any meal, and any of the wait staff I've ever had is phenomenal. Heard good things about this little diner just of off highway 35 so decided to stop in for breakfast with my dad. There is nothing fancy about the place or it's food but it seemed fresh and was made to order. It was obvious that the waitress was a pro and veteran of the place, she was attentive to us, as well as, the several customers sitting at the counter that she knew by name. I had a waffle with 2 sausage links and a scrambled egg while my dad had the corned beef hash with 2 sunnyside eggs and hash brown potatoes. My waffle was light and crisp and soaked up the butter and syrup that I covered it in (it was a good thing). The corned beef hash and hash brown potatoes were seasoned well and had a proper crispy brown crust on them; Dad was happy. Did I mention the coffee? It was a damn fine cup! read more

We've been having our weekend breakfast/lunches here for a few years now. Waitresses are all awesome. Funny, friendly, honest with just the right amount of "jersey diner waitress" attitude. They served me rotten fruit salad and a waitress blamed me for having bad taste buds. I wish I had taken a picture of the salad. They looked a week old. I usually enjoy their service from Mel? I think it's the name of my favorite waitress but I had the other one who was taller, had dark hair and glasses and no smile this morning. She catered only for the REGULARS. They gave me a muffin because they didn't have any fresh salad to replace the rotten one. It went from 5 starts to Zero this morning. Service can change the whole dining experience. Place was clean, staff were very efficient and quick. Food was adequate bu not exciting. Saturday morning early had mushroom omelet with a side of spinach and Canadian bacon, coffee and V8 juice. Coffee was good. V8 (large was about 10 oz; smaller than I expected. Omelet was not fluffy as advertised - it was flat and pretty tasteless. Canadian bacon was slightly overcooked but edible. Sauteed spinach came swimming in a pool of buttery water. Overall middle of the pack - there are better diners within easy reach of Monmouth Corporate Park. I am in Asbury Park every year for the Pride Festival in June. I found this place 4 years ago and I am glad that I did. I order breakfast for dinner or one of their specials. The food is just delicious. The waitresses have always been friendly. They seem to know their regular customers. If you are in the Asbury Park area, skip the chain joints and eat here. I had delivered coffee, pork roll & egg & cheese on a hard roll, toasted english muffin and a slice of apple pie. 1. coffee was good diner coffee not gourmet but good. 2. love the pork roll & egg & cheese on a hard roll from here. About $5.00 for very thick sandwich with a lot of pork roll. Seriously excellent. 3. good mass market english muffin though a bit heavy on the butter. Not a complaint but if you need to be careful ask for the butter on the side. 4. large slice of commercially baked apple pie. Really almost a meal by itself for me. Best diner around! I've gone twice recently for breakfast, and both times the place was packed. We were still sat right away and had our drink orders taken immediately. The food came out quick and just to order. The best part is the prices, two people can eat a full breakfast for under 20 dollars with tip. After having been in town for over a week and being exhausted with the sub-par breakfasts found close to the hotel, I "yelped" the area and came across this place. SO glad I did! Best breakfast we had while there, so good we had to come back the next day. Prices are very reasonable and get a lot of food for the money. I wouldn't say the food is amazing, but whatever may be lacking there is completely made up for by the staff. Friendly, attentive, and down-to-earth servers.
