Stopped in here for happy hour and will sure come back. I liked the vibe the place gave off. A modern, upscale pub feel. The chicken wings were delicious. Sauce was flavorful and the meat inside still juicy and not fatty.

Solid place. Made a reservation. I was going to a show at Stone Pony. About a 10 minute walk. No big deal. Parking sucks. But we know that. Ordered the wings and steak tips. Good. Steak was kinda of a small portion. I got the chicken Marsala tiki. Kind of an Indian flavor. Just missed. A bit to salty. Cocktails were great. Service was excellent. Place played the best music. Overall good experience. Good Asbury park option

Surprisingly not busy for 6 pm on a Saturday! Very quaint and the service was quick and attentive. We ordered the crab rangoons to start, they were a special, and I'm so glad we did. They were filled with real crab meat and the filling to pastry ratio was perfect. I was also pleased with the amount of sauce they provided. We then shared the prime rib carver which was tasty but I'm not sure if I would order it again. The horseradish cream was really nice with it though and I would even say they could go a little heavier on the horseradish (probably personal preference). I also ordered the Black Swan Cabernet and it was delightful.

    Happy Hour on their site.

Update: No longer is there a Happy Hour on Sunday even though the website says there is. The hostess was very nice when I pointed it out but it does change the value of a Sunday afternoon at a bar. I'm not changing my rating but I needed to update the policy.

I used to be an Anglophile and apparently all the tendrils are alive in my sub-conscience. Chilly dead December morning in Asbury. Raining. Depressing and not made sunnier as a homeless fellow tried engaging me outside trying to convince me not to enter. Thankfully I I did not heed his admonishing slurring. The Smiths and the Fixx and AHa! all dated but evergreen pop wafts down from the delicious sound system nestled in the cavernous ceilings. Your bathed in Britpop. The staff member assisting me is vaguely similar in breezy coltish appearance to Carey Mulligan the world famous actor. Discrete, polite, efficient - no less perfection than the Yorkshire waitress I once was delighted by in Thisk, And the Scottish Egg and Shepard's Pie besotted my frazzled pre holidays cold rainy dank sensibilities along with the warning hibiscus tea, the naughty Irish coffee, the orgiastic flourless cake and the happiness-cinching ice cream sandwich - gloriously comforting and delectable. I miss England ah but in this moment of the world - I don't! Go. World class cozy estuary of British decency in a world away in forgettable common tastes.

Love this place it was started by one of Gordon Ramsay's old chefs. I ordered a ham and cheese on sourdough bread for lunch. It was very good and the bread was crispy. The fries were generous with potatos and well salted. The service was very good the waitress was attentive and the food came in a decent amount of time. The ambience is very Instagram selfie friendly it's like a mini forest and it has a beautiful bar. It's definitely a good place to visit if you are in Asbury Park NJ

The girls and I got together for dinner. When I arrived I found parking on the street. I walked into a very nice restaurant. I found the girls and Aidan was our server, and she was nice. I only ordered the wings. It looks so delicious, but it was just alright. The girls enjoyed their steak tips and mashed potatoes. They also liked the dessert. My one friend said the soup wasn't great. All in all, it was a pretty decent experience!

Bell Pepper Collins - one of the greatest things I've ever drank. So fresh, light, & not sweet.

Overpriced menu and slow but friendly service. I love the ambience with the floral arrangements and chandeliers. It's cozy and dark yet dainty and light. Food is very decent in flavor and quality overall. Extensive cocktail menu and will get you a buzz believe it or not. I wish the prices were slightly more affordable, but I'd still recommend this spot for some comfort food and atmosphere. Happy hour is worth it at the bar.

My husband made reservations for us at the Black Swan for a rainy Wednesday evening in December. Cookman Ave used to be an old stomping ground of mine as it was being built up so I was excited to try this new to me restaurant. When we first entered it had a really cool European Gastropub vibe. It was an old bank so the ceilings are immensely tall and they even have a vault in the back to eat (though it was closed and we couldn't eat in that room - bummer). But we did get to eat in the front tea room. It was so pretty and it was nice to sit at a window and look out onto the street. We ordered our drinks - a Lavender Gin Fizz and a Pornstar Martini. Both were pretty good, didn't really blow us away, but still delicious to drink. Now, on to the food! My husband and I both ordered off the Special Menu. My husband had the Beef Stew and I ordered the Wild Mushroom Tagliatelle with Brussels Sprouts on the side. Wow! The food was phenomenal! The spices and flavor in the Beef Stew was to die for! And it came with slightly buttered mini potato buns that were awesome as well. My entree was SO good. Very light, even though it was a cream sauce, which I totally appreciate. I could also really taste the light lemon flavor in it. So good! The Brussels Sprouts were also delicious, cooked to perfection, crispy, with a great sweet and sour sauce. We decided to order dessert and went with the Apple Galette. If you have room for dessert, I HIGHLY recommend you get the Apple Galette. The puff pastry it came in? Sooooooo warm, flakey, and definitely homemade. I paired it with an Irish Coffee and it was the perfect ending to our dinner. Thank you Black Swan for an amazing evening where we could eat some really delicious food!

My husband and I are visiting Asbury Park for the first time, and Black Swan was at the top of our list for spots to visit. We came in for happy hour and an early dinner and ate at the bar. The bartender was very nice and made solid martinis. For food we shared the burger, cheddar bacon tots, and the scotch egg. Everything was executed to perfection. The tots were enormous and so flavorful. The scotch egg could be the best version I've ever had. Fried to a crisp with a nice, soft yolk and well seasoned sausage. The vibe was laid back but it was still somewhat busy for an early week night. Definitely a great spot to check out if you're ever in the area.

We stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner and made a reservation but given the early hour and beginning of the season we ended up not needing it. The restaurant hs a very large bar and some table seating with bright, wide windows and cute decor. Our server, Katie, was friendly and always checking in. The drinks were great and the food, was pricey but very tasty.

We've passed here many times and then finally decided to try it. We went a few weeks ago on a Friday night and sat at a high top in the bar area I don't have any pictures but it was a great experience my husband had some type of lobster over the pasta which was good there could have been more lobster but we're not complaining. And I had the open prime rib steak sandwich which was absolutely to die for! We visited again and this time we sat in the tea room which is the cutest room with windows and cathedral ceiling and we had a view of the street and it was lightly raining outside but it was such a great experience. (I forgot to take a picture of the menu to add to my photos). We started with the baked brie, it came in a cute little cast iron skillet (very hot!) with crackers on the side and it had some type of jam circled around it and it was fantastic! We both ordered the Salmon, which does come with the skin, and it was over the lightly whipped potatoes and sauteed beets and mushrooms. This meal was so incredible I'm happy that I chose that for my main dish. For dessert, we ordered the bourbon infused peanut butter cheesecake which was out of this world. Andre was our server. Very attentive, very professional, great personality, explained every single thing on the menu and when we ordered the salmon he was sure to clarify that it would be cooked to a medium and what was also included on the plate. For drinks I ordered the Paloma Up, very light and refreshing. My husband ordered the black rose. The Black Rose is one of those smoked drinks that when Andre brought it over, there was a little lid to it and you could see the smoke on the inside and he would lift it up and the smoke dissipated and it smelled delicious!!! He said it was a fantastic drink. I will definitely be visiting this establishment again.

The restaurant set up chairs outside on the little green and it was a very lovely ceremony. The reception was a 5 hour cocktail / appetizer hour and it was everything anyone could ever want. Let's be real - when you go to a wedding it's the cocktail hour that steals the show. Now imagine that for the entire night! It was fantastic! The passed around appetizers were delicious and the rotation changed frequently. From grilled cheese and tomato soup shooters (my favorite), to three different tiny corn tacos (sweet potato, fish, and pulled pork), to sliders, to sweet and sour chicken skewers, to lobster rolls, to SO MUCH MORE. All of it was incredible. The drinks were also delicious. The bartenders, waiters, and waitresses were so very nice and accommodating. I went to grab a coffee from the coffee station and one of the servers told me he could make me a latte so of course I had to have one. The space is so lovely and held a good number of people without it feeling crowded at all. My old phone was taking blurry pics from far away so I wasn't able to capture it, but think very cozy, fireplace with candles glowing from within, and little alcoves in the wall for candle clusters. I knew we had to get that because it is right up my husbands alley. It did not disappoint, my husband was tempted to order some to take home! The pasta was super creamy and cheesy, mixed with the roasted pulled smoky bbq pork on top, it was the ultimate comfort food for the cold rainy day we were having. For my meal I got the Grilled Cheese which is more of an elevated "grown up" grilled cheese. It had cheese, thin apple slices, fig jam and bacon. The flavors were great, I only wish there was a little more cheese or a little less jam to balance the sweet and savory a little more, because for me it was a touch too sweet. The sourdough it was made with was delicious and fresh, I also appreciate that they don't seem to soak their grilled cheese in oil like a lot of places do (butter or nothing, please!!) My husband ordered the burger which he really enjoyed but nothing was going to top the pulled pork Mac and cheese for him. They should consider adding it to the regular menu! He originally wanted the duck sandwich but it was unavailable on this day. All in all it was a cozy afternoon together.
