I always liked their deluxe club sandwich, but last night, I decided to try out the steak sandwich, and my husband ordered his usual new jersey devil. We ordered our food to go, and it took over 30 mins to have it ready. Multiple people came in after us and got to leave with their food before us. On the other hand, the food was good. The steak sandwich was flavorful. However, I didn't like the fact that they asked me how I wanted my steak done, and I was still given a well-done steak after asking for a medium. The steak was too chewy for a sandwich. My husband enjoyed his jersey devil, but personally, I think it's too salty. Overall, I would still come back, but I'm definitely going back to my deluxe club. This was a pretty solid food joint. It looks small from the outside but don't let it fool you. It actually seats more than it appears too. Their menu is extensive for a deli and serves a full breakfast menu. I was impressed with the vast choice of options available including milkshakes. I wouldn't order another burger from this place. My order, patty melt on sour dough and added bacon. Comes with fries and a drink for a lil over 16 bucks. The fries were good, well seasoned and fresh. The patty on the burger was super thin, over seasoned and cooked to DEATH. I don't know if they premade the patty or just over cooked it but it was so dry. The rest of what the burger was made of would've been great had the beef been thicker and cooked right. The reason I say I won't be getting another burger from here is I saw few other burgers people were eating and they looked just as crappy. I haven't come here in a couple years and it seems different. The food was so-so. I had a Monte Cristo and my boyfriend ordered French Toast, bacon and eggs. In all, pretty disappointed in my visit. I was amazed at how large their menu is and wondered how the kitchen could handle it, and I guess the truth is they can't (or they can, but barely). Waited 50 minutes for my food dining in, and didn't hear any update during that time. Once it did arrive, we were told there was a "new cook today" which...I don't know how to take considering the place was nearly packed with people either dining in or getting to go orders. Upon arrival, the food looked good and was impressively plated, but lukewarm at best. Who knows how long it was sitting there. And it tasted pretty good but I can only imagine how good it would have been warm. They have indoor and outdoor seating and parking can be challenging! Good customer service and clean establishment. We stopped by for lunch and tried out their Philly sandwich and Pastrami sandwich. Philly ~ had good flavor but was very light on the meat compared to the bread ratio. It only comes with grilled onions and cheese. Pastrami ~ had a lot more meat than the Philly sandwich. Meat is hot but sub is not considered a hot sub as it is not toasted. We will probably be back to try more of their options as their pricing is very reasonable. I just moved here and have ordered two days in a row as it it's 3 minutes from my home. I have had the breakfast burrito which was HUGE, eggs and waffles, tuna sandwich, Brandys salad and THE BEST broccoli cheddar soup, I've ever had. I also tried two different smoothies and a shake. I will say, the portions I ordered were quite generous for me. I was able to get multiple meals out of my orders. I look forward to trying other items. I will give one little word of advice. I loved the animal frosted cookies, it definitely brought back memories from my childhood. The milkshake it's self was pretty good as well! We ordered a hot pastrami on toasted sourdough, and a BLT on toasted wheat. The pastrami was on untoasted bread with 1,000 Island dressing. That is a Reuben. It should have had mayonaise on it. The pasta salad had transferred over to the sandwich and soaked it with the dressing. Salads like that should be in a separate container to prevent the sandwich from getting soaked. The BLT was not toasted. The fries were so heavily saturated with seasoning salt, rather than regular salt. They were real soggy and all you could taste was the seasoning salt. I started coming here again to give it another shot. I had two experiences here over a year ago that turned me off to this place and prompted me to not return. The first time, I ordered a cheeseburger and fries. It was decent, but took over 30 minutes and wasn't worth that long of a wait. I decided to give it another shot during a less busy time. My friend and I ordered take out. He got a Philly cheesesteak, I got the cheeseburger special at the time that included avocado and bacon. When we finally got our food after waiting around 20 minutes on a slow day, we discovered that the "Philly," was more like a greasy chopped cheese (hamburger patty instead of cheesesteak) and my burger was missing more than half of the ingredients listed on the menu- including the bacon, cheese, and avocado! It took another 15 minutes to correct my order on top of having to travel back to the deli. My friend and I both decided at the time that this place is more trouble than it's worth and decided to not come here again. Well... I figured that in all the time that I've avoided this place, maybe some change of management, ownership, staff, or procedures have taken place and I should give it another shot. My updated impression is that the price is right to grab a cheap, non-fast-food meal, but what you order matters. I've mostly been getting breakfast here nowadays. For example: for less than $10, you can get a full breakfast with a main dish, hash browns, eggs cooked any style, and your choice of toast. Breakfast entrées such as the Louisiana-style sausage breakfast come to mind. For about $6, you can get a tasty little breakfast sandwich and orange juice. Not bad. BUT. Most menu items are a bit salty, a bit greasy, and the things you'd typically expect to come out crispy... don't. This includes toast. What you get for the price point isn't bad and you'd have to travel at least 10-15 minutes away to find another non-fast-food breakfast spot so it's kinda worth it in that sense, but some things are more "worth it," than others. If you're planning on ordering corned beef hash and eggs, for example, prepare to get 25% corned beef hash, 75% salty, slightly soggy hash browns. As for the wait for the food, sometimes it's five minutes, sometimes it's closer to 20 depending on the circumstances. I waited for 15 minutes last time I was here because the guy ahead of me came back after I placed my order and added enough food to feed four more people to his original order... and the kitchen focused on completing the second half of that order to its entirety before starting on mine. I understand why that decision took place, but I feel like it could have been handled a bit better. All in all, I'd consider this spot to be solidly average. The food is decent enough, the service is friendly enough, and you'll probably get your food in a reasonable amount of time depending on how the kitchen decides to prioritize your order. I'm happy to report that none of my meals in recent memory have been misrepresented, had missing ingredients, or were just plain wrong, so that's already a solid improvement. I don't think it's worthy of the high praise it receives from many of the locals, but it's not bad either. It is what it is... nothing more, nothing less. read more

First The customer service was horrible. I've been going there for years. I looked online to see what time they closed it stated 10 PM. I call Ahead for my order I am told that they close at 8pm that night and am I close to pick up food. For whatever reason I still ordered ... I arrive at 7:30pm me and another lady. The door was open to the establishment , As she is walking back inside she closes the door behind her and I'm right behind her. The 1st thing she says is " We are Closed." The other lady walks in looking at the menu and she stated again "We are Closed" of course the lady stated it says your open until 10pm. She said well tonight we close at 8pm with an attitude. Now why did I come back after that I'm not sure. But on this past week I went to order food and a sign on the door stated they closed at 2pm. It seems that the staff close whenever they feel like it. On good fresh chewy white sub bread, lightly mayo'ed, layers of thinly sliced turkey meat with sliced chilled beef tomatoes, red onions and romaine lettuce. Cut in half. You could easily eat one with one hand and have a beverage in the other. Perfect for when you are trying to get work done and stuff your face. This place is a winner. It was my first time going with my lady. We ordered an açaí bowl and turkey sandwich to go. That was at1:06. We received our bowl but waited 30 min to get the sandwich. I had to go up to the cashier and tell him that other people after us got their food but I'm stuck waiting with a melted açaí bowl. The food is excellent ! Large portions and a really extensive menu. I had the Eggs Benedict with bacon and hash browns, my partner had the Monte Cristo which was deep fried the way it's supposed to be.
