Seriously...not bad! I've driven past this place for years and never stopped until now. A huge menu for both breakfast and lunch. This little hole in the cafe hit the spot for breakfast. I had a country fried steak that was cooked perfectly with a delicious sausage gravy. My daughter had the ABC omelette which was huge. You have the choice between home fries or hash browns for most of the items. We had both and they were fantastic. My bf got the Buffalo Chicken sandwich and fries. Usually our favorite place to order takeout. Ordering over the phone was easy and the staff was very friendly and aware we wanted extra crispy fries. She said it would be ready 20 minutes and my bf got there in 15 minutes. Another 15 minutes went by, total wait 30 minutes, before receiving order. The plates look good but the fries were not crispy, very soggy until I crisped it up at home before eating. The pastrami sandwich looked delicious and was excited to dip it! Nope , the dip was too salty! Unfortunately, both of our meals were super salty. Total disappointment! Dipping the fries in ranch, we were able eat a few. But could not fix the salty pastrami. I dined at Sunrise a few times a year, every year, from 2011 to 2019 - call it twenty meals of my own plus samples of whatever my wife ordered - and still, I'm drawing a blank. Had I tried anything that knocked my socks off or that was disgusting, such meals would have stuck in my mind. Did I have breakfast? A sandwich? Some sort of plate lunch? No se, and that says a lot about the place. But wait, let me check my photos. After messing up my order so bad I couldn't eat it the last two times, I decided to give them one last try. My bad. Didn't get what I ordered again. When I attempted to return the food they offered to refund me and reorder it correctly and charged me again. I've lived down the street for years but never tried this place. I was running errands on the same street so, when I got hungry I decided to try something new. Very nice people working here. I ordered pancakes, eggs and bacon. The pancakes looked really pretty but lacked flavor and were dry. The syrup wasn't very good either. I don't know what brand they use but I didn't like it. The bacon didn't look or taste fresh. Bacon wasn't bad (it rarely ever is IMO) but I'm thinking maybe reheated from the previous day. The eggs needed seasoning. I'm not surprised though because many places don't season the eggs. I'm glad I tried it out but sunrise didn't wow me to go back for anything different. I do love the yellow interior! Once my cali burger was missing the avocado, side of fries was missing and pickles when no pickles had been specified. In the end, I was glad I did because I experienced a much better eating experience than I had in the past. I had the protein breakfast burrito which came with bacon, ham, sausage, grated hash browns, eggs, and cheese. As a result, it was quite the large burrito. It came with plenty of the ingredients and was cooked properly. I would like to see a little more seasoning on the eggs and to crisp of those hash browns for better texture. Wish I could give no stars, actually I wish I had my money back. This was the worst food I have ever paid for. We were meeting up with friends so I grabbed sandwiches for our dinner. The Monte Cristo was discussing! The meat was strange, the bread was awful it tasted like rotten oil. There was no jelly or powdered sugar but that would not have even come close to redeeming the terrible taste. My wife got a wrap and it was completely non-edible. If you love a crappy tortilla wrapping up a ton of yellow lettuce and mostly mayonnaise with almost nothing else then get one from the sunrise deli.
