I really have nothing even slightly negative to say about this place. I come here all the time with my roommates. The food is so so good and fresh, service always great, and in addition to offering a classic breakfast, they have some really unique options like a miami breakfast sub for example - if you're feeling bbq for breakfast :) If you go on the weekend, expect a wait. A hearty and delicious breakfast . . . With two light appetites and a man's appetite, there was something for everyone. We were fortunate to have Krystal as our waitress at the Cafe, she was EXCELLENT at recommendations; although, I don't know that you could make a bad choice. Our party had the Bearly Benedict, with ham added - per Krystal's recommendation; Fried Grit Cakes with Sorghum Peach Compote; the Appalachian and a bacon biscuit. My Momma always told me "you may have to pay for it, but you never have to eat it"; therefore, I braved the Appalachian - a delicious, full serving sampling of many of their breakfast options. Everything was as anticipated from Krystal's suggestions, just a bit too much to eat. Being a southern cook, the only less than exceptional items were the biscuits - as my eleven year old put it, they were a little too doughy and dry; although, that's fine - biscuits vary from place to place and it's all dependent on the cook's taste! The Praline cream cheese stuffed French Toast is out of this world scrumptious! It's made with sour dough bread that was amazingly light and not too rich. The compliment of sprinkled pralines, apple butter, caramel with side portions of whip cream made this perhaps the best French Toast I've ever eaten. Live at Lake Keowee but the drive and wait to get a table is more than worth it. My wife had the Spicy (Southwest) Omelette that had a great kick of assorted peppers. Their cheese grits are also perfectly prepared, not sticky or lumpy. This place is fantastic and a must! read more

I give it a 4 because if it were anywhere else but clemson I would not be impressed (also no egg whites- if you have eggs how could you not make me an egg white omelette??) but that being said it is a FIVE for clemson. One of the onlyyy quality healthy good food places around and I went at least once a week during my time there! Salads and wraps are great. I loved the broccoli salad but I do not recommend unless you like tarragon. Also make sure to ask for your orange juice on the side for the mimosas read more

This is undoubtedly the best breakfast place in Clemson! The shrimp and grits is fantastic as is nearly everything else they do. They also serve Mexican Coca Cola which is a nice plus. They don't take reservations and it can get crowded on the weekends. read more

We walked in to be told that the indoor seating would take 40 minutes, so we knew this was going to be a good place. We decided to bare with the heat and sit outside rather than wait; I ordered a mimosa to cool off. Food came out promptly and my B52 Bomber wrap was hearty and filling. My best friend and I decided to give this a try, as we prefer places with a variety of vegetarian/vegan meals, and this was an excellent choice! Because we went around brunch time, my friend got an excellent vegetarian breakfast sandwich, and I chose a vegan shroom burger! I enjoyed my meal so much, as well as the Southern sweet tea and quaint location/store interior. Watched the hostess take down my name and phone number. She asked three times how many were in our party while looking at the two of us standing there with no one else immediately around us. She said 20-30 minutes, but they were very busy so when we waited longer than that, I didn't think much of it. After an hour, went back to ask for an update and was told that my name and phone number had not been added to their list at all. I have to give five stars for the service alone. The food was also excellent but I think we had the nicest server ever tonight. I do not know her name but she is pregnant and super sweet, she gave us great suggestions for both good and beverages and was attentive too! I really felt like we were dining at her house. Great breakfast spot near the Clemson campus with healthy options including vegetarian and gluten free. There are a variety of menu options and side dishes if you aren't as hungry. I ordered the fried green tomato egg and cheddar biscuit with home fries. Light, fluffy biscuit goodness and nothing was greasy. My son ordered a Miami panini with a generous amount of Cuban-inspired meats, eggs, salsa, and cheese. We both agreed that their salsa was fresh and good enough to ask for a small to go cup to finish enjoying at home. The cheddar grits are local and our server said they were his favorite. Have had pretty good food here in the past and am thrilled they offer a vegan tofu scramble (only place I can eat breakfast in Clemson). Unfortunately their hours online were never updated (on Yelp, google etc) and I am not a Facebook user. So when I googled to see if they were open I was excited to take the family for Father's Day. In the rain and early in the morning, my family got dressed for a Father's Day breakfast out. Unfortunately they are closed until July 1st. Great place for all-day breakfast! The only reason I don't give that fifth star is service. It has improved, but it's still iffy. They could assign one person just to make sure water, coffee, and tea are refilled -- maybe that would help. BUT -- aside from that -- the food is terrific. Our waitress was very sweet and took COVID protocols very seriously. Our food was very good, even thought it took a while to come out. A very memorable breakfast!!!! I had the Bearly Benedict. Sooo delicious. It came with home fries but I wanted to try the fried grit patty. For $2 more it was so worth every delicious bite. Hubs had the Appalachian. He said it was cooked perfectly and he enjoyed it but I think secretly he wished he had ordered the Bearly Benedict. BTW this restaurant is very Covid conscious.
