I did enjoy an early dinner at Silver Bay in Easley with my cousin from Memphis TN, other family and friends. They do have low carb options, I kind of stepped off a little. I ordered the grilled chicken breast(1) over rice pilaf and a salad with a Diet Pepsi to drink. Y'all it was so hard and tempting to eat one of those hush puppies dipped in that honey butter!!! I was STRONG and did not touch them! The grilled chicken was tender with a good flavor and so was the rice pilaf. The restaurant was clean, it wasn't smelling fishy(one of the reasons I had not been there for years), and the service from our waitress was top notch! I had a very enjoyable dinner, and as usual it's always nice to spend time with family.

They offer several types of burgers, both breakfast and lunch sandwiches (hot and cold), salads, dinner plates, wings, seafood, a large variety of sides, milkshakes, desserts and ice cream. You order at the counter and the food is delivered to the table. They check often to make sure you're doing OK and offer free refills on drinks. I was a little skeptical since the menu was so varied, but the food we had was good. Price was reasonable for the amount of food you got. There is limited seating inside, but there was outdoor seating. While we were there, there was a lot of activity... especially pick up orders and at the drive-through. Because I'd like to know if everything else on the menu is as good as the food we had, I would go again.

There was a nice salad bar, flounder, catfish, hush puppies, grits, shrimp, French fries, onion rings, green beans, coleslaw, ham, macaroni-n-cheese, cherry cobbler for dessert. We got to the restaurant right as it opened on Friday night so we were seated right away. We enjoyed it. Won't be a weekly outing because it was a little pricey...BUT writing this review reminded me that I really enjoyed it. Our server was very friendly. There was lots of seating-room for big groups. Very casual down-home atmosphere.

The menu is large with many different protein offerings as you'd expect. The food presentation was well done for the amount of food and type of food prepared. The artwork all around the venue is impressive if you take a few moments to notice it on the way in, while you're seated, or making a trip to el baño. It's what this place is named after. I love the city and the people. Fall for Greenville is fantastic!! Onto my review -- I was visiting Greenville for work this past week and was staying at the Aloft. I did a quick online search for a new food / dining destination when i saw ABYSS... Since it is right beside my hotel I decide to give it a go! Wow, what a treat. I sat at the bar. Bartender was top shelf Ali i think... She made me a paper plane without having to look it up . The happy hour menu was a pretty amazing value so i tried a couple of pieces from it. Bluefin "nachos" ie wontons.... Great!! Scallops and bacon sliders.. great!! Then I decided to also add the Wagyu - crispy rice. Also great!! But you know what else really sets this place apart? The Fries! Crazy but here's my take. Everyone is doing fancy pretentious, parm, truffle garlic blah blah blah.... These fries had a unique slender (thin but wide) cut, seasoned lightly. and cooked to perfection. you can tell they take it all very seriously here. from the Chefs all the way to the greeters. It's like they all took Yes chef training at "The Bear" IYKYK...Fantastic attentive service. Highly recommend and look forward to visiting again!

Our salads were also very good and the pepper Parmesan dressing was delish. 4.0. The waiter, great guy and great service recommended the "Tour of Venice". And it was pretty disappointing. Lastly the chicken parmigiana was bad. The chicken was so dry and stringy I could not swallow it, I had to take it out of my mouth. That said we'll give it another try. The spaghetti and meatballs looked good and the onion rings looked good as well. I think the Venice trio had been sitting around and all got over cooked. If it is better next time, I'll amend my review.
