    Breakfast

We wanted to try something new and different. I got the ham omelette and hubby the #1 (2 eggs, bacon/sausage, grits for $8) May have been short staffed. The coffee wasn't bad.

Great prices and good service. I had the lunch special of chicken pot pie, 2 sides, and a drink for less than $6!! There are a lot of fried offerings on the menu-calabash chicken, fried chicken, fried fish, fried okra, corn nuggets, etc.

It's not much, as other have said. But the hospitality and home atmosphere make up for that. By the way, best friend squash, hands down!!!

The service and food is really good. It's a good local restaurant to eat at if your looking for homestyle cooking.

Inky's Philly Cheesesteak in Easley, SC, delivers a fantastic take on a regional favorite…read more Located at the base of The Silos--where several food trucks ply their specialties--Inky's stands out as a spacious, comfortable spot with large booths that invite you to settle in... and maybe stay a while. High ceiling, lots of wood paneling, very vintage while still feeling up to date. The menu includes burgers, deli-style hoagies, and salads, but let's be honest: the cheesesteak is why you showed up--and it's good enough to keep you coming back. There's some real history behind the name. Albert "Inky" Harris ran the first cheesesteak and hoagie shop in Philadelphia back in the 1940s, and the current grandchildren owners carry that legacy forward. Whether every detail has been perfectly preserved or lovingly remembered, one thing is certain: they source their white American cheese from Philly, and the result feels authentic. And that makes all the difference. The fresh-baked Liscio's rolls are huge--soft and warm on the inside, with a firm, crusty on the outside. Like me... on a good day. Inside, finely chopped steak, peppers, onions, and that perfectly melted white American cheese are blended together, so every bite delivers a balanced, satisfying hit of flavor. No "all onions in one bite, no meat in the next" surprises--just consistent harmony. And the star of the show? Certified Angus ribeye. No shortcuts. No skimping. No regrets. Sandwiches come in 7", 12", or the "I wish I was still in college" 18" option--because sometimes restraint is overrated. My wife and I split the Colossal. The meals are served on trendy paper-toppped metsl trays. The staff and management go out of their way to make you feel welcome and walk you through all the options. Sides round out the experience with plenty of choices: fries, tater tots, onion rings, pasta salad, fried mushrooms (hello, childhood), and a standout option--house-made chips, sliced and fried fresh and disappearing faster than your willpower. Bottom line: If you're craving a true Philly-style cheesesteak without leaving the Upstate, Inky's is absolutely worth the stop. Just don't plan on eating light... or sharing. The meat, cheese and onions are mixed perfectly. They skimp a little bit on the meat in my opinion and it's pretty pricey if you're not filling the cheesesteak to the brim. Overall, very tasty

I know this is going to ruffle some feathers, but Smokin' Pig BBQ was an absolute yes for me…read more Let's start with the parking. We pulled in, found a spot immediately, and somehow survived the ordeal. Then the seating. My wife and I managed to endure the horrifying experience of sitting on a wooden bench while eating amazing barbecue. The restaurant was busy, which I foolishly interpreted as a sign that people enjoy eating there. As a couple, we spent around $50 and immediately regretted... not ordering more brisket. I was genuinely offended by how quickly it disappeared. The sauces were terrible if your goal is choosing just one. I kept going back for "one more taste" until I had sampled all of them multiple times. Now the food... Lord, the brisket. Moist, smoky, and somehow the complete opposite of everything I was warned about. The mac and cheese was great, the baked beans were great, and the sweet potato crunch actually had crunch. The only reason I'm giving this place five stars is because Yelp won't let me give six. Left disappointed in only one thing: that I don't live closer.

I know this is going to ruffle some feathers, but Smokin' Pig BBQ was an absolute no for me…read more How this place has so many glowing reviews is beyond me. Let's start with the parking--atrocious. Then the seating inside? Think uncomfortable wooden church pews, and yes, they're just as stiff as they sound. It was packed when we arrived, so the 45-minute wait felt like an eternity. But my friend had been raving about it, and I love BBQ, so I figured it had to be worth it. It wasn't. For three people, we dropped around $70, and I immediately regretted not choosing somewhere else. On the positive side, the staff was very friendly, and I liked the idea of pork rinds as a table snack, plus the multiple BBQ sauces available. Unfortunately, most of the sauces were awful--I could barely tolerate one. Now the food... Lord, the brisket. I've never had brisket so dry in my life. It was dry-dry-dry. I was genuinely offended. When our server asked how everything was, I clenched my teeth and said it was fine, but truthfully I wanted to ask for a refund. I just didn't have the energy to argue. The sides didn't help either. The baked mac and cheese was bland, the Jalapeño Cheddar Grits had zero heat (or jalapeño flavor), and the Sweet Potato Crunch had more mush than crunch with an odd texture that didn't work. The only reason I'm giving this place two stars is because the service was solid, and I appreciate the staff's friendliness and effort. But if this is considered the epitome of South Carolina BBQ? Yeah... I'll pass. Left disappointed in the price, the experience, and most of all, the food.

I did enjoy an early dinner at Silver Bay in Easley with my cousin from Memphis TN, other family and friends. They do have low carb options, I kind of stepped off a little. I ordered the grilled chicken breast(1) over rice pilaf and a salad with a Diet Pepsi to drink. Y'all it was so hard and tempting to eat one of those hush puppies dipped in that honey butter!!! I was STRONG and did not touch them! The grilled chicken was tender with a good flavor and so was the rice pilaf. The restaurant was clean, it wasn't smelling fishy(one of the reasons I had not been there for years), and the service from our waitress was top notch! I had a very enjoyable dinner, and as usual it's always nice to spend time with family.

I got the daily special of 12 oz salmon and fries sprimp came with a side and a salad for $17.99. I couldn't eat it all everyone had huge portions. We took my in-laws out to eat for their anniversary and birthdays too. They brought a free slice of cake for both of their birthdays which was awesome for them. My daughter said it was the best Alfredo noodles she's ever had and I have to agree it was amazing. Will def be back for her to get these again. The kids loved the fish tanks in the restaurant. They serve free hush puppies which are amazing and with butter. I will mention my husbands steak was not good at all. I think they just don't get ordered much here is stick with seafood or the Alfredo, no steak. They have great flaky French fries.
