Today I'm going with the Sandwich & Wrap side of the menu. Grapped a Sweet Tea to drink, great Tea! I am going with the Chori Milanesa Stack which is country fried steak on top of chorizo, biscuits, home fries topped with egg and gravy! Great little place for breakfast! Worth waiting for a table. Cheerful service and huge menu. I got the grit cakes with a peach sorghum sauce. Mehhh. Food was good but our service was bad. We came here for brunch one day and our server took our order and brought drinks. She never once came back around other than giving us our check without offering anything else. We were low on drinks and needed more napkins while we were eating and we had to wait a bit for to go boxes. Definitely not worth the hype. read more

We've been to SunnySide several times and have never been disappointed. There's something for everyone. We usually get the SunnySide classic. Eggs always cooked as ordered. Was in the mood for brunch and have been twice with my date to this bfast joint. They have a lot of the typical pancake and egg options. I usually get biscuits and gravy. Always good Would go back for the B&Gs and they usually are far less busy than eggs up due to the location I think but the food is just as good. One of the best service we've ever had. The waiter was Amazing. We had a group of 6 and they seated us right away (we had a reservation). Brought waters right away. We ordered juices and they came immediately. I ordered the pancakes. My husband chicken breakfast which he said was one of the best he ever had. SunnySide is a mixed bag. It's in a great location that's actively expanding. The place looks very clean and the staff are very helpful, but I opened my silverware setting and it was beyond dirty. It was almost as if a prior customer ate, wrapped their stuff back up to look nice and the staff assumed it was a new set. The grits, as suggested by the waiter, were top notch, but the omelette was of poor quality. Their preserves were good. So there were pros and cons. I'd try them again, but something other than an omelette. Three stars is the best I can do this visit. To be clear for the owner, if they see this... I'd have had to debate two star vs three if it wasn't for how friendly the staff was. read more

35 min wait. Which was not a problem. Problem was that three groups of people that came in after us got seated before us. When I told the host she said our names had been marked off that we were already seated. But what really made me mad about it was we were sitting right in front of her! And there is a sign that says you can not be seated until your whole party was there which was definitely not the case. Ordered and the server was ok. But acted like she didn't want to be bothered. Eggs were just ok. Nothing on them at all. Home fries need to be cooked more. I let the server know and she acted like she didn't care. The sausage had a different taste to it. Wasn't for us. We're big breakfast foodies. We went a few days ago. The homefries were probably the worst we've ever had out of 15 different states They were soggy, cold and horrible. The grit patty was pretty cool and had a cornbread taste. The chicken was dry but the waffles and pancakes weren't bad. The environment felt like an old Morrisons cafe. Zero music and it was so cold. Several patrons complained about the zero degree temp. The two hostesses (male and female) were definitely not welcoming. They had some really cool legos if you like them. Overall it was bland food and not a bunch of flavor. There were only 6-10 people eating in a restaurant that appeared to seat 40 or more. I've been two times and the waitress each time was nice and kept up refilling the drinks even with how busy it was. Now when she brought out the food on the surface it looks really good like if you were to look at it from a picture online. Then you start taking a couple bites of the hot cakes and wonder where is any of the flavor? The server (Brianna) was very friendly and gave recommendations for a sweet choice and a savory one. We decided on the Miami Breakfast Sub with a side of bacon and the Shrimp & Grits. The food came out fairly quickly. The hubby said the sub was good but too messy for him. I had the shrimp and grits. I usually like my grits with more of a savory/Cajun taste. This dish definitely does not fall into that category! The Stoneground grits were good, but the combination of the goat cheese, peppers and chives was not what I expected. It was more on the sweet side. It was good...I'd probably choose it again. The shrimp was delicious. Although the dish came with potatoes and two eggs I focused on the shrimp and grits. That filled me up. Although I had this restaurant on my "want to go to" list I didn't realize that they also offered lunch. I wish we would have been offered the choice of the breakfast or the lunch menu. We did go in at noon after all. Note to self for next time. There was an eclectic group of people at this restaurant...families, senior adults, young adults. The majority of the people were young people-probably from the neighboring Clemson campus. The servers had a great report with each other. Although the atmosphere was not intimate the tables were spaced far enough from each other so you didn't feel like you were eavesdropping on the next table. This seems to be a local favorite. We got there at a good time. When we left about 45 minutes later the wait time was twenty minutes. read more

This place is really good, but too sweet. I got their special waffles for the day, and they were so overwhelmingly sweet I couldn't finish it. The flavors were there, but to sweet. I will try again with a different menu item. I know I have not had the full experience, but please dial down the sweetness on your sweet menu items. I need to try eggs or bacon to be completely sure about my review. The service was not excellent or present all of the time, but still was nice and kind. The whole restaurant is a great place to bring your kids, as there is a Lego build that was pretty interesting to look at. The ambiance was cool. Delightful breakfast!!! We had just the standard 2 eggs, cheese grits, biscuit, and sausage patties with cup of coffee. The food was perfectly done. The coffee was actually very good. What was outstanding was the service. We were promptly and politely seated. Our serve appeared immediately and was as polite and efficient as any server on the planet. She brought coffee took our order and it wes delivered quickly by another person who was also polite. We were checked on several times, had coffee refills, more butter, etc. As we waled out we stopped and looked at some coffee for sale and another person asked if she could assist us... Every single person was just super nice and polite. Definitely will be eating here again. BUT... my wife and I decided that, after multiple visits, we will NOT go there tomorrow morning for breakfast... It's uncomfortably chilly. read more
