Great experience with Sunlight Solar. Team was very professional and got things done quick!

When contemplating solar I was lost in a sea of contractors who seemed legit but I had no idea where to start. Our experience with Sunlight Solar was top-notch from beginning to end. The salesman, installers and technical support was very professional. My favorite part of this company was that the owner called me several times to check in with the status of our electrical panel upgrade (separate contractor) to make sure we didn't need any extra help. He even offered to complete that job for the same price that we were quoted for our electrician. The install only took a day and we have had no issues since. I have and would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to install or upgrade their solar panel system. Thank you Sunlight Solar! read more

Solar is a confusing space, there is a lot to know from system set up to installation to service. I'm working with James Gregory, I feel like they have all the bases covered and there focus is for me the customer. If I were in the market for solar, whether it be new systems or servicing my existing system, I wouldn't hesitate to work with Sunlight Solar. read more

Please stay away from this company. I seriously doubt the reviews now though it was these reviews which made me select this company. The service is sub par. They did not update me during different stages of the installation. They come and work on your house without notice. They removed my AC wiring during installation and left. I had no heating for 2 days and I had to call my electrician to fix it ( Sunlight later reimbursed it) The worst was when I saw the total amount they charged me for an Qcell 365w 15 panel system with Enphase micro inverters. They charged me way higher then the latest 400 w panels. I regret selecting this company as now I learned that they charged me $7000 more than any other installer. Even after overcharging, I recently found that consumption meters (250-400 typically for a full install) was not installed and they wanted an additional 600 dollars for the same. Please do your homework. Get multiple quotes for same model systems from same manufacturer from different installers. Don't get cheated by dishonest people! read more

Joe was our salesman. He was there till the very end and beyond. He gave us all the discount he could find. We got 31 panels and battery backup. If we had any question, we would call Joe if he didn't know answer he would find out and get back to us ASAP. The workmanship was excellent. They were in and out in one day. I would highly recommend Sunlight Solar and ask for Joe as your salesman read more

We put up solar using Sunlight Solar and they did a fantastic job. They kept us in the loop at every step, the workers couldn't have been more considerate and professional, and the job went completely smoothly. Great job, highly recommended! read more

Jerry the rep is professional, friendly and explains the process on how I can get gov't program incentive and helped me understand the process. He is responsive to all my questions. Jose the contractor and his people are also friendly and professional. Miguel They take time to make sure I'm satisfied with their install and explain how to monitor the production of the panels thru the app. I highly recommend Sunlight Solar. Roxanna the cust. Svc. Rep is also helpful and Friendly. Overall I'm a satisfied customer. Highly recommend Sunlight Solar. read more

I had 3 solar companies and Sunlight was the best. Answered questions, price was right and they were the most helpful with all my questions.

This place is a joke too many other reputable and professional companies to work with. These guys are lame the woman that showed up was a pretentious sour human that was complaining about the road. She had piss poor follow up and in fact was a liar. I actually got a better quote and with a much more professional organization. Don't waste Your time with this Mickey Mouse organization. Save yourself some time and energy read more

Friendly reliable knowledgeable cost was great and the process was simply amazing and simple

All went well from start to finish. Less than a full day to install. My last bill from SDG&E had a negative to (not) pay. That's exactly what I was hoping. I also finally got one of those SDG&E notices that states I was more efficient than all of my neighbors. There! I did my part. read more

I'm a certified Home Inspector and I've seen countless solar installations. The installation Sunlight Solar did on my home was the cleanest, highest standard I've ever seen. What makes this company so unique compared to others with regard to quality installations is that they actually have their own full time employee installation crews where as most other companies use subcontractors. I wouldn't use anyone else for if I were to install solar again on a different home. Charlton W. Johnson read more

We could NOT have had a more pleasant experience than we did with Sunlight. Showed up on time, finished on schedule, and they were ALWAYS ava and helpful with any questions I had regarding the billing or SCE issues. I don't recommend much as a rule, but I would not hesitate to refer anyone to Sunlight as a solar alternative. read more

Follow up posting, 2 1/2 years into the transition to Solar, things are going well. About a year into service some micro-inverters needed to be replaced since some panels were not generating the same amount of energy as adjacent panels but once contacted Sunlight was able to send out a repair team and then install replacement ones (under warranty). Waiting for the next true-up period to see if I'm generating enough or may need more panels. read more

My husband and I are so happy with Sunlight Solar. Everything was perfect from start to finish, starting with the first meeting to the installed system, and everything in between. Everyone involved was wonderful! And now it's working great! We did talk to another solar company more than a year ago but declined because it didn't sound like a good deal. With Sunlight Solar it's just a deal that we were very happy to take and everything is as good as proposed. It's so good to go green, especially with the war going on right now. read more

We really enjoy our solar system. Since install we have notice significant savings on our electric bill. James Gregory did a very thorough and professional job explainimg the system and benefits. The staff made the process go veryvsmoothly especially in getting HOA approval. The installation team was very professional and fast. Manuel Vasquez took the time to thoroughly explain how the system worked and how to use the online monitoring system. read more

We had an incredible experience with Sunlight Solar. Their price were the best I could find, the ongoing communication was reassuring and they were able to make everything happen in the time frame agreed on. Which from what I've been told by friends who went with other companies, is not always the case. read more

We recently had Sunlight Solar install solar panels on the roof of our home in Perris, CA. We were very satisfied with this company from the initial visit by the sales rep, to the simple and efficient financing and finally the quality of the installation. We should have done this years ago! read more

Amazing company!!! Would recommend to anyone looking to go solar in their home. Fast and reliable.

From the moment I met Sergio he worked to give me the best deal possible. When ever I had questions they were quick to respond and always had answers for me. I felt like the process was explained to me very well and the installers did a great job. Roxanna was always a delight to talk too and she was quick to answer my questions. Highly recommended. read more

Some friends of ours referred us to Sunlight Solar, and I am so glad that they did! We've met with other companies, but the sales representatives and customer service personnel with Sunlight Solar are beyond comparison. Very friendly, professional, courteous, and human! They were up front and honest with us from the start. Didn't try to upsell and gave us a lot of information. When install day came, they were early! They got started and had everything ready to go in a few hours. The clean up job was fantastic!! They left ZERO trash behind and even swept our driveway! We always knew when things were happening and exactly what to expect. Thank you Sunlight Solar!! read more

In today's world when there are so many solar companies to choose from, the task can be rather daunting. That is why I highly recommend anyone to check out Sunlight Solar, a local gem here in our San Diego County area. I have the pleasure to work with this company twice now for solar projects and once for a roofing project and I have very positive experience in all these installations. The owner Jeff Carelli seemed very knowledgeable and rather pleasant to work with, I did not feel being pressured while negotiating the contracts. It also helped that their prices were very competitive . Their Operations Manager Roxanna Rojas did a fantastic job, she stayed on top of the project at all times and kept me fully informed along the way. The rest of the team are all courteous, punctual and professional. As a result of such a fantastic team, my latest solar project was completed promptly without a single glitch. Actually it was done within a month after the contract was signed, with the only holdup being my HOA's red tape. read more

I would like to update everyone that the owner Jeff Carelli from Sunlight Solar took care of my issue and resolved my problem and the Warranty that covers the Solar has been transferred to the new Homeowner of the property I sold. I would highly recommend Sunlight Solar for not only your solar needs and also roofing as well and gutters as they did for me and did a great Job. Thank You Jeff Carelli ( Sunlight Solar Inc.) read more

They are an amazing company! They had a new roof installed for us and that job turned out great. When we had the solar installed, we had an issue with the box installation. The owner was so wonderful. He had it fixed immediately! I would highly recommend Sunlight Solar! read more

Sunlight was very reliable and the company provided high quality work. The whole process was very efficient and to my satisfactory. It was a valuable investment. read more

We had been wanting to install solar for awhile. We met with 3 different companies and assessed each proposal. Sunlight came in the most competitive and they were also the nicest from a customer service perspective. They were available for all of our questions along the way. Once we signed the paperwork, the process was pretty quick. They kept us up to date on all of the milestones we would be having along the way. We now have had our solar running for almost two months and we're so happy we made the switch! I would recommend Sunlight Solar to everyone! read more

We used sunlight to do a new roof and add Solar. A Jeff and his team were so professional and easy to work with. His instal and roof crew completed the roof in 2 days and the solar in one day! They cleaned up perfectly every day too which we really appreciated. Highly recommend if you are looking for Solar and added bonus if you need a new roof- you can do it with one company and roll your tax credit together! read more

I would not recommend this company to ANYONE! They are very available before and during the install but after it's like pulling teeth. Long story short... I bought an "EXTRA" panel on top of what they had suggested with plans on eventually purchasing an electric car or running the AC more often during the hotter summers. I was told it would be more than enough to cover the car and A/C with an extra panel... I ended up having to pay for the new solar and SDGE because they sold me a system that was too small for our usage! I ended up having to pay more than the original SDGE bill, making it POINTLESS to even get solar. Even if they were off you would think an extra panel would at least cover the normal usage! so to me, they were WAY OFF. It took MONTHS to get any answers from them and still the result is that it's not their fault or problem. They are the freakin experts and should know what they are doing! If their process of determining what size system you need is wrong/flawed/sucks, that should be my fault, again they are the experts and we trust they know what they are doing. I was excited to finally pull the trigger on solar but now every time I think about it, it's a huge disappointment and regret!!! read more

Contacted them for a roof replacement quote, confirmed I only wanted roof replacement on the phone and when they showed up for the appointment they told us they would only give us the estimate for solar and roof replacement. When we told them we only wanted the roof estimate, they just left. Could have saved both of our time if they had just been honest about being solar pushers. read more

I love working with these guys! I am a repeat customer and they have been very consistent with their excellent pricing and service. Jeff the owner was so easy to work with and Ivan, their installer was on top of things. read more

I shopped around with about 5 different solar providers in my area and thus company was the one I ended up choosing. Their sales rep was not pressuring, and was extremely transparent which is something incredibly difficult to find. I just had a friend get solar and she told me they paid about 5k more for basically the same setup I received and when she showed me the fine print it ended up being almost 20k more. Their install was fast, took about a day and they were able to meet all the requirements of my somewhat strict HOA with not additional charge. I recommend them to any friends and family considering solar. read more

Great setup, quickly and professionally done! Enjoying the savings from my new Solar system Highly recommend

Sunlight solar was a great company to get our solar from. Emily was extremely knowledgeable about solar and she represented her company well. She was very patient with us as we did our due diligence in researching other companies. Sunlight made sure they gave us the best offer and best panels. The installation process was great! They arrived on time, completed the work in the time frame promised and did wonderful work. My husband is an electrician and appreciated their level of competence and craftsmanship. Roxanna in the office was incredibly pleasant and kept us up to date on the process. Overall, we had an amazing experience with Sunlight Solar and recommend them highly! read more

Sunlight Solar has great friendly service with compatible pricing. While it is true that their cold call sales is annoying and called me even after I agreed to have them complete my solar project, Sunlight Solar in the end came through and provided excellent service keeping all their promises in the time frame they estimated. There were some random miscommunication issues but what construction project doesn't have some issues. read more

I never expected so much from a company such as Sunlight Solar. They went above my wildest expectation! Not only did they give me a great deal on my panels, they also threw in a variable speed water pump, a new gas pool heater, new pool LED light (all Pentair), and the installation too. No hidden costs. Their attention to detail, along with their professional team, such as Charlton, Ed, and Su, did did an amazing job and kept me we'll informed during all phases of the installation. Ed, the pool man even jumped into the pool to install the LED light. Wow!!! Charlton you kept your word and I am so glad I chose your company to do this project. You definitely get what you pay for when I went with you. Quality, great customer service, and value! Man, if I could do this again, I would go with Sunlight Solar again! read more

"I would love to further help you but I will need further information to get to the bottom of this. l will message you privately to obtain more information." So that's a lie. You never did message me privately. Again, I don't care what you SAY your marketing procedures are...I know what they are. And it's too bad, because it looks like your actual installers are awesome and the marketing/cold calls make your company look like crap. read more

This is our first time using solar panels and Sunlight Solar made this whole experience a breeze! Whenever we had any questions regarding our panels, they were quick and responsive! I highly recommend anyone considering solar panels to come here. read more

I contacted Sunlight Solar in the summer of 2022 for an initial consul and I was impressed with their representative Domingo who provided information and estimates for various configurations and allowed me the time and space to make my decision without pressure. After I decided to move forward they sent me the various documents and financing agreements. I think I made the right choice to actually own my solar panels and their pricing was very competitive. Since I recently did some remodel work to my hone my electric panel was already upgraded so it was just a matter of coordinating with the City, SDGE, and the solar installers who actually work for Sunlight Solar. I was kept informed during every step of the process with an actual call or email from their production manager. The install day was uneventful and by noon my 14 panels were up but could not be activated until SDGE did their part which took another week. The crew paid attention to details to minimize the effect of conduits etc and paint matched them to my house color. Honestly, I did have an issue afterwards as I didn't like the look of the recommended most efficient placement of a few of the panels, but the company stood behind me and moved a few panels around so I was then completely satisfied. Overall I am a happy customer and have recommended Sunlight Solar to several other friends and clients who had solar installed. read more

Everything went very smoothly. Was able to communicate with team, they took care of HOA and permits. Very professional and no upselling or adding something not needed. The whole process took 3 weeks with the HOA and permits. They had it up in a day, early than originally estimated and came back to meet the inspector. I had looked into some other companies, but I am glad I chose them. read more
