    Roof repair

They came out quick to give me a free estimate. Then were able to quickly squeeze me in for my repair that my homeowners insurance company was requiring me to have done within 30 days. Thanks again Diamond Roofing. Would definitely recommend.

While I wasn't the owner nor the person who hired Diamond Roofing, I am the person who lived in the house while the work was being done and wanted to share my experience from a renters point of view. When I heard that we needed a new roof, needless to say I was dreading the work being done - especially because I work from home and have a young pitbull pup and just imagined the endless barking, noise and disaster that was to come. While there was some noise and a little barking, my experience couldn't have been any more different that the nightmare I originally imagined. Day 1 - D-Day as i referred to it. A massive team showed up early to start ripping off the roof. I had planned ahead to take my dog to daycare that day but wasn't running behind and hadn't left the house before their arrival. I asked if they could hold of draping the backyard until I could get my pup out to potty/leave and they were happy to do so. They were nice enough to greet my pup as we left (she LOVES people but some folks shy away from her breed) - something I really appreciated as I don't want her to be afraid of workers who will be around all week (or so i thought). I couldn't believe the progress made in day 1!! Demo was done and new roof work had already been underway by the afternoon. I was impressed with the thorough clean up job done after ripping down everything, something I'm especially sensitive to with a dog that puts EVERYTHING in her mouth. Day 2 - As soon as my pup saw/heard the workers arrive, she was on edge. I had asked if they needed access to the backyard which they did not, so I spent some time out back with her, treating her as I spoke to one of the guys on the roof (trying to let her know it was ok/not to be afraid). He was SO nice, spoke to Riley (my pup), talked about his pitties at home and after about an hour or so of curiosity, Riley calmed down for the rest of the day (AMAZING!). It meant a lot to me that this person who clearly had a lot of work to do was so patient with my pup and took the time to help me put her at ease. I realize this review talks a lot about my pup - but I'm sure any dog owner has shared concerns or dealt with headaches while handling home projects. Safety and consideration extend beyond humans when it comes to the Diamond Roofing, and for that I am truly grateful. Beyond that - the work was done in a little over 2 days?!!! UNBELIEVABLE! And while of course there was unavoidable noise that comes with getting a new roof no matter who does the work, I was hardly put out despite having a massive team on site (which obviously is how they are able to work so quickly and efficiently!). And while I did not hire them, I know the owner received a few bids as I was here when they came out to quote the project - which must mean they are priced competitively. The owner was extremely happy with the work they did and both her and I highly recommend the team at Diamond - they truly are a gem ;)

Diamond Roofing installed a second layer to our roof a few weeks ago. They did an outstanding job, were on-time, and cleaned up the entire perimeter when finished. They also were careful about any debris from roof to ground, and no plants were harmed, Joe came by several times to discuss the work and gave us samples to pick shingle color. Delivery was done day prior, and Joe came by to ensure it was correct. Install was done following day, and completed in the same day. The crew showed up early, too (bonus points!). I would confidently recommend them to anyone.

I selected Diamond Roofing to replace my cedar shake roof with a fire retardant urethane shake on my 95 year old Tudor home. Very difficult project. Tear off, install plywood sheeting, paper and shingles. They also replaced my very old copper gutters. From scaffolding to completion of the punch list, they were reliable, efficient and skilled. I highly recommend Diamond Roofing for any roofing project.

Replaced damaged T&G planks where needed.

Diamond Roofing was fantastic from start to finish. Fred, the owner was the most experienced, informative and flexible of the six who bid our 2,400SF re-roof. Their estimate was just below the average. Only Diamond did research and came up with a solution that saved $3,700 in roof insulation replacement costs. Rochelle and the office staff were easy to work with and accommodating. The company honored their original bid after we had to delay, despite cost increases during the pandemic. Their superintendent, Carlos, was just awesome - very knowledgable and responsive. The foreman on the job clearly explained all wood damage and tried to keep repair costs down. They were nice enough to install a skylight at no cost! The sub they used for beam replacement was professional. At times, clean-up outside and minimization of debris during ceiling exposure could've been more thorough. A friend who owns many properties was quite complimentary of Diamond's work and materials choices, and he is not easily impressed. I highly recommend Diamond Roofing.

I recently went down the canyon to do some gardening and noticed the lower hillside right below our property line was giving way. I thought to myself this nightmare was starting again. So I started reviewing my options and came across the name Azar builders. I was extremely impressed with his reviews so I made an appointment with Pete to come out to discuss the situation. Well the five star reviews were right on the money. Not only was Pete extremely knowledgeable, he put my mind at ease that everything was going to be okay. He should be called the "hillside therapist". He came up with an affordable solution and did not try to upsell me during the process. He methodically went through the whole process with me and boy did I have a ton of questions for him. He assured me he would rectify the situation. He fit me into his busy schedule and I got to know his crew very well. I would go down the canyon on a daily basis and his crew worked like clock work. Pete would instruct them on what to do but it was like they already knew exactly what they were doing. They worked to together so well and completed the job in about a week. I could not be happier with the work that Pete and his crew did at our residence. I am a retired 35 year Law enforcement officer who is usually very skeptical of contractors and their practices but Pete is the cream of the crop. He is a no BS type of guy who does what he says and backs up his work. I would highly recommend him and his fine company and crew.

During the huge rains we had in Oceanside we developed a leak in our second floor bathroom in the area below a window. Various companies I called were not interested in trying to figure out the source of the problem and just blamed the windows. When I called Joseph however it was a different story. He is extremely detail oriented and took the time to investigate the potential causes. He determined it was from cracked stucco near the window, but not the window itself. Which made perfect sense with the location and behavior of the leak. He meticulously started opening up the stucco to see the extent of the damage. He found the paper under the stucco had deteriorated pretty severely on that wall due to the extreme sun exposure over the years. He continued to open it up until he was comfortable that he had exposed all the issues. After replacing all the damaged areas, stuccoing the entire wall and repainting, you couldn't even tell the whole side had been opened up. He even took the time to examine all the windows above the area of the leak for any damage, and thoroughly cleaned them and even resealed them. We also had Joseph remove a statue from an alcove and re stucco the area. And again, his work was impeccable. Paint matching was perfect. He took pictures of everything as he worked, he explained all of the things he was doing and why he was doing them. His pricing was very fair and communication was very good. On a personal note, he was a pleasure to work with. I appreciate his attention to detail, and his quality work. But he was also just a kind and friendly person to talk with. He would even offer to pick up food or supplies for us if we needed anything when he was on his way or getting supplies. I highly recommend Joseph in all regards.

Pat and his team are Aces!…read more We were getting the exterior of our house repainted so we wanted to address projects that have been on our To-Do list. Years ago, we had our AC units relocated to another part of the yard / house so while the units were gone and the pipes closed, they were still sticking out of the wall. After reviewing a half dozen stucco companies, we hired Pat and his team to properly remove the unsightly pipes and repair the stucco on the side of the house. Additionally, in the process of preparing the house for painting, we removed a ton of bougainvillea and shrubs that were along the house and retaining wall so they can paint. Once removed, it uncovered a lot of stucco damage to our retaining wall so I reached out to Pat to have those added to the job. To add to the chaos, we were getting our roof AND whole exterior part of the house pressure washed so I wanted to make sure that didn't conflict with the work that Pat and his team were going to do. Pat was very accommodating with our schedule and put our mind at ease that all would be fine with the timing of everything else going on. Carlos and Jose P. came to do the job on a Friday and went right to work prepping the area before any work was done. Carlos repaired the retaining wall and was a master at cleaning up the corners and edges to match the rest of the wall. You can't even tell that there were any cracks or chips -- and he color matched the wall perfectly. It looks like a brand new wall! The side of the house...oh my goodness! More perfection. We've been looking at these ugly pipes and the terrible stucco patch job for years and it was such a relief to finally have them gone. Better yet, it looks as if they were never there!! Jose did such an INCREDIBLE JOB on the stucco - we could not have asked for better. Yes, we could have just left and painted over and all would have been fine but hiring Pat and his team was the right call and we are so happy with the work done. Our painters came the following Monday and they were really impressed with the work done too and asked for Pat's number. I was more than happy to pass along and I will continue to recommend Pat whenever I can. I know I went to a lot of detail but I just wanted to accurately express how much we appreciated Pat and his team. So many times we hire contractors and while we are thrilled the project is done, you feel meh about the work. Not at all the case here. Pat and his team checked all the boxes for someone who is pretty particular (aka. OCD) and hard to please when it comes to something visual (hey, I'm in marketing). Pat was knowledgeable, responsive, honest about the work needing to be done, fair in pricing, timely, provided a superb team with excellent skills--and they left the job as if they were never here. We are so pleased with the job done at our home and we hope you consider Pat on your next project. You won't regret it!

We needed to replace a wall in our garage that was leaking. The job that CR9 performed was rushed. The flashing that was put in was not straight and ended up having numerous openings to the outside of the house, requiring additional work to "seal off" entrances with 2x4 beams. It should not have been necessary to do this in the first place. There were also exposed nails all over the wall, which were not hammered into the beams but were protruding out. In general, I found the job to have been performed hastily and sloppily. At the end of the job, both of my neighbors whose properties are adjacent to the garage complained about the work. The first neighbor complained that the crew left a mess and did not clean up the sticky black waterproofing material from his property. I asked CR9 to come back, but they did not. A second neighbor showed me that the crew physically cut into her fence when removing our wall, leaving a glaring ~2-inch gap from the top running all the way to the bottom of the fence. I asked CR9 to come back to fix it, but I received no response. I ended up doing the job myself to replace the board. Finally, we had an agreement that CR9 would also fix two dividing panels between us and the first neighbor, as part of the overall job. They made sketches of everything. I had to purchase my own material, which I did. However, after I paid for the waterproofing, the owner Cresencio stopped answering my calls or responding to my texts. Incidentally, he does answer and respond when I call from a different phone number, so I suspect he was deliberately ignoring me. He promised repeatedly to come down, but never did. I called for nearly two months, then got fed up and ended up doing the job myself. Other issues: They only ask for cash, which makes me suspicious about legitimacy. One of the employees who was supposed to fix our fencing after the waterproofing job suddenly quit. I do not know why he quit, but my own experience does not leave me with comforting thoughts. I strongly advise against using this company. There are many quality waterproofing companies around, and this is not one of them.
