Worked around a house renovation schedule to ensure we got the waterproofing done within a very limited window of time!

In 2021 we had our pool deck coated by Life Deck and they did an excellent job. This year we had our pool remodeled by Gardner Pools and they did a great job, but now we needed to have our pool deck recoated because there were areas that had to be coated due to the pool remodeling. I called Life Deck and they immediately sent Scott to give me an estimate and two days later they prepped the deck for recoating and the job was completed the next day. The Life Deck men were very careful and thorough in their work and our pool was clean and beautiful for the Labor Day weekend. It could not have been a better experience and our pool looks fantastic. We are very pleased with the service we received from Lifedeck. From the initial consult with Ernie to final payment. We had our back patio refinished with an anti-skid surface because the previous job had too much sealer on the concrete which made it slippery when wet--creating a hazard. I also wanted more of a matte finish from the previous sheen. Also, our front driveway had about 3 colors of old/new concrete with cracks that it just became such an eye sore to our renovated house. This job wasn't cheap but when you see the work involved over 5 days, you understand a little bit about why it costs. This isn't a quick surfacing job where it involves someone spraying some texture with paint to even things out. It's labor intensive that involves the guys on their hands and knees adding a layer to our foundation, then, with an artistic hand, carving out the design; blending our cracks, so that it looks like it was there was on purpose. Our neighbors were asking the guys for their business cards as they walked by. Christian and team was very professional and kind. They were on time and didn't appear to take any shortcuts. Life Deck wants to charge me $1800 for a repair of 180 sq. ft. Last year they resurfaced my patio, driveway, and 2 sidewalks for $3200 which covered alot of square footage. Now they won't help with a small rectangle next to my driveway. Don't bother with this company. They want the big job, but won't help when you need extra work done on very small areas. Additionally, there are bubbles forming on coating they did in 2022. They say they are not responsible to fix it even though I did everything they told me to do to control drainage in the area. Well I hate to do this but I guess it's come down to this. We recently did our pool area with life deck that was in 2021, I was not happy with the results I felt like it was basically a half ass job. I didn't realize it until we hired them to do our front driveway and walkway, driveway looked a lot better really nice better than the backyard pool area. The walkway is totally different than the driveway and we've asked him for a year to come and fix it and they have not. I had a great experience with Life Deck, and would highly recommend them for residential polished concrete flooring! First and most importantly, they were reasonable, consistent, and easy to deal with. I greatly appreciated that. I shopped around. They weren't the cheapest, but also weren't the most expensive. The quality was really high-end, and I feel like I definitely got my money's worth. I'm a perfectionist, and when I asked them to touch up a couple things after the fact they didn't blink. No problem! They worked me into their schedule. I brought them back a couple times because the first time I found a couple areas that weren't shiny, and the second time I found a couple of raised spikes. Both times they fixed the issues. Kudos! I don't expect perfection the first time out the gate, but I do expect a company to follow up and make everything right. They did that! Life Deck did a great job on my poured-in-place cantilevered concrete pool coping. Each section had at least a hairline crack and the spill over was severely cracked. Life Deck came in and did a 10-step process. They did not simply fill in the hairline cracks but added a fiber lath to strengthen the area protecting against the cracks returning. The whole process took 3 days. The team was meticulous and really showed a professionalism for the work they do. When we moved in last year, we LOVED spending time on our covered patio, but the floor was stained and discolored (and just overall ugly). We interviewed several different companies to redo our deck and the reviews, combined with the personality of Gil, made us choose Lifedeck. Our deck was not only old, but had uneven patches and divots which made it very ugly. We went with a fake flagstone look, new mastic and they painted the coping around our pool. They had to work around our pool guys since we were doing a major pool remodel and Gil maintained wonderful communication, so I never felt out of the loop. I got to work closely with the main lead on the project, Benny, and he was fantastic! He also had great communication and let me know every day when he was on his way, what they would accomplish each day and he was considerate about asking my thoughts as they moved throughout the project. He would do a small area and ask my opinion to make sure it's what I wanted. I work from home so he was also great about telling me when they were going to be loud or messy so I could close the windows. UPDATE - Once they finished and we could swim again, we noticed some areas under the edge of the coping where the new coping color didn't make it down far enough so you could see the old coping color. My husband and I hired Life Deck to do polish concrete flooring for our bedrooms, dining and living room last year when we just purchased the house. Larin was our Project Manager with Jason who does the work. Larin is excellent on communicating throughout the process.. From making samples on actual floor to show different colors to working around schedules due to other projects around the house at the same time.. Both Jason and Larin are very accommodating. The project ended up going over the schedule by 2-3 days but Larin accommodated us and ended up (literally) paying for our hotel room stay. The concrete work was clean and highly professional (with the exception of a boot print on our bedroom) - it is not too obvious but i can tell..
