From the very beginning to the end, Allied Coatings was the BEST!!!!! Juan was my contact. He and everyone else on the job were hard-working, efficient, and very respectful. My job involved removing upstairs deck coating and flashing with several layers of previous coatings. No one in the past could compare with the thoroughness of Allied Coatings. The workers were thoughtful in climbing up to the deck from the outside with a ladder since we have no stairs. When I saw the detail with which they applied various waterproofing materials, it made me think that we've never had this job done properly in the past. If you have any waterproofing needs or special deck coatings or garage floor finishes, BE SURE TO GET A BID FROM ALLIED COATINGS. You will thank me. You will be shocked at how budget-friendly they are. read more

Honest and helpful. Jim came out to assess our moisture issue today and spent a lot of time explaining how waterproofing works. He was very knowledgeable and gave us all the information we needed. I highly recommend using them for concrete coating or epoxy waterproofing needs. read more

Great enhancement to my front walkways! These guy originally completed the project back in April 2025, but when a few areas began to crack off, I contacted Jim and Travis. Jim was great...came out and identified the issue and sent his crews back to re-do (and waterproof) the affected areas....all at no cost to me! If you are looking for a company that will stand by their work, look no further! read more

The BEST in the industry! Ryan and James are incredible in customer service support. They are artists and the result is amazing! It took forever for them to schedule the first meeting through emails which were very impersonal, short, and sometimes rather rude tone of vibe. They never showed up and I just wasted all morning ... Guess they had a bigger fish to fry and my money was not good enough for these guys. I just read some reviews and I am not the only person they did not show on their appointments. The worst thing was they did not even bother to call me to apologize. This must be their way of doing business... Round 2! As soon as I posted my review, he had balls to blame me about not having my address on the Yelp response. And that's the reason he couldn't keep his promise? He is a lair. I do have an email response from him clearly showing my address as of 11-15-2022. Please read his response which he claims that he is not guilty any wrongdoing and trying to blame everything on me. If he did not have my address which is not true, he could just pick up the phone and call me before he leave if he had a slightest will to show up for an appointment... I am positing the copy of an email that I have provided my address to show the world that he is a liar. read more

A patio to fit our outdoor space! After obtaining an estimate from a well known concrete company, I had Joe from Allied come out for an estimate. He explained the product and process in far more detail and clearly took pride in their company and product. With the first company i literally had no idea what i was getting. And Allied's price was almost 40% less than the other guys! The before and after pics speak for themselves, and i'm thankful to finally find a company that doesn't charge the pragmatic up charge based on where you live! read more

We wanted to epoxy the garage floor and enhance our back concrete patio and we were so HAPPY and AMAZED by the results provided by the entire team at Allied Coatings. ( just take a look at the before and afters')  I have owned several companies and I consult for several companies as well, it is rare that you meet such an exceptional company like Allied Coatings.  From the very moment I spoke to Joe our Sales Professional over the phone, I had already spoken to 4 other companies. But Joe blew me away with his knowledge and guidance he gave me over the phone, I quickly booked an appointment. When my wife and I met Joe, he was nothing but a professional and gave us all the guidance and education we needed to pick him and Allied Coastings I also had the privilege to speak to one of the owners Jimmy and again his ability to help us to get what we wanted was amazing. The entire crew that came over to the house to complete the project was quick, professional, and did an amazing job.   As you can see from the pictures.   Now we LOVE to hang out in the backyard and even hang out in the garage with the brand new epoxy floors (no kidding). Hands down the best company I have worked with providing exceptional customer service satisfaction and quality work.  If you are thinking of making your house feel that extra special with a new concrete look or freshen up your garage, CALL Allied Coatings you will not be disappointed. Highly Recommended!.. read more

Working with Joe was a pleasure. His expertise helped us make the right decisions in material choice including picking the right color for us. His crew completed our pool deck project on time and with great quality. Very happy with Allied Coatings! read more

Joe came out to scope a job for a patio and garage at my older La Jolla home. He was very honest about my options, pros and cons to each, and actually recommended products and services that AC doesn't not offer. I've been spinning around on the best option for my back patio and garage for a couple of years now, so was very grateful to have someone so knowledgable and honest provide an assessment and recommendation, even though it steering me away from his products & services. I wish every contractor/salesperson had the same level of integrity! read more

After getting 4 estimates from different companies, we were lucky to talk to Joe from Allied. They were fantastic and did an incredible job in less than 3 days on the concrete walkways and patio of our house. Joe was easy to work with and gave us a great price. We told him we were having visitors and he was able to get the job scheduled and done within 2 weeks! If you need concrete work done and don't want to wait forever for the job to be complete and/or pay a fortune then go with Allied Coatings! You won't be disappointed, I recommend them 100%! read more

Joe was very honest and personable. He gave us a quick quote. They did neat, clean work. Ruben was very helpful too. Nice people.

BEWARE .. DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU I REALLY wanted to like this company. The salesman, Joe, was very personable and appeared quite knowledgeable and reassuring. These guys were in no way the cheapest quote. I went with them because I felt a genuine level of professionalism from Joe and assurance in the product they sold to me. After installation I noticed that the color was completely off (appears pinkish although Joe assured me the color we selected would have NO pink), the texture was very poor and splotchy in places, and there was overspray all over the house and adjacent planters and retainer wall. The workers had ZERO communication with me and came and went as they pleased although I repeated numerous times to PLEASE let me know when they were coming, so I could secure our dog. The pool deck is SUPPOSED to be WATERPROOF. Well, the pool deck has been installed only a few months and the morning after the first significant rain and ... well, I'll let the pictures do the talking. Needless to say I am extremely disappointed. read more

From the start Allied responded quickly - Joe set our appointment and was on time. He answered all of our questions making this comfortable with his knowledge of what our process was going to be. Another obstacle he overcame was to get the job done while we were away on vacation. Joe came through, better than our expectations. He was there through the process, updating us that it was going well and we woule be happy when we arrived. No doubt we were very happy with our concrete coating and the finish. Our neighbors have all complemented the work done by Allied coatings. read more

Joe from Allied Coatings came out and gave us an honest assessment of our concrete situation. We were looking for a quote to remedy some paint overspray on our downstairs stamped concrete. Joe was honest, pleasant, funny, and was full of knowledge on everything we needed to know about concrete. His over 20 years of experience shined through as he gave us his recommendations for our situation. He wasn't there to hit a sales quota, or try and push us in a direction that was beneficial to him, he was simply looking out for us on what the best option was in our situation. Would recommend Allied Coatings highly just by the fact, that they have Joe on their team. Give them a call, and ask if Joe can come out. read more

Allied Coatings resurfaced our pool deck and we are very happy with the results. They did a power wash, then added a texture layer. They primed and painted with Cool Life top coat, including a grit additive to make it less slippery when wet. It required 2 coats. The pool deck is significantly cooler. They entire team was easy to work with, and very responsive. The workers protected surfaces not being worked on, cleaned up after themselves, and the left extra Cool Life for us. The color enhances the look of the pool area, and is more contemporary. read more

Allied Coatings clearly delivered as promised! The Cool Life 28 Series in Travatan is what we chose. Beautiful look! Classy, non skid surface that is also cooling! Good investment on appearance and lowering the cooling of the house...as you can see, the patio floors would previously reflect into the rooms thru all the sliding doors. Everyone was pleasant and very professional. Clean up done and very detailed and thorough thrughout. Very Satisfied and Highly Recommend!! read more

I am very pleased that I chose Allied Coatings to refinish my driveway. The price was right and the work performed was first class. Special thanks to Joe Ausilliio who walked me through the process and answered all my concerns about the materials and how they were applied. Also, special thanks to Melvin and his helper for doing a first class job . From power washing to color coating, it was done right and with an eye towards detail. I would recommend Allied Coatings for any refinishing of your concrete driveways, patio, pool areas and more. read more

EXCELLENT!! Joe did a great job explaining the process and working with us to be sure we got exactly what we wanted. His follow up customer service was also top notch. It's quite an investment, but the high-end look is worth every penny. I did a lot of research to find a product and a company that would deliver what we wanted- No more pink, slippery, hot concrete around our pool! I highly recommend Allied Coatings. read more

Not only did this firm provide a fantastic customer experience, the result of their work and advice has significantly added value to my home. The previous owners had poured and tinted the concrete and pool decking themselves (literally the entire back yard), and it had become an ugly, mottled mess. I had been told I would need to replace and re-pour all of it - tens of thousands of dollars in all. Perusing through the "Home Concepts" mailer magazine, I figured I'd give them a call as a last resort before taking on this enormous (and expensive) endeavor. Joe answered my call, got some information about what I was seeking and was cautious, but optimistic, to set my expectations appropriately as to whether they could offer a solution. Very friendly, courteous and professional, he arrived at our scheduled, free consultation, took one look and was quite confident they could solve my problem. Well, solve they did! You can see the epic difference in the attached before and after photos. Milton, Johnny and Rubin worked miracles in the execution, Darrin did a very precise removal and replacement of my pool mastic (which was in terrible shape), and Jim, the owner, even came to my property after the work was complete to advise on how to seal my pool coping, even though it wasn't suitable for their product. This entire team clearly puts the customer first, and is committed to the best possible outcome. Rockstars, each and every one. I could not be happier with the final result, and cannot recommend highly enough. read more

I had Allied Coatings do my epoxy floor in my garage at a new construction modern home in Temecula Wine Country and they did do a fantastic job! From start to finish a very good experience. Jim, the owner is always just a call away and very pleasant to deal with. His crew Darren, Brien and Jessie are very meticulous, respectful and hard working. Jessie in particular, while not speaking much, is very precise in his work. Great job guys - Thanks You!!! read more

I cannot commend this company highly enough for their integrity. They came to look at our project and told us we didn't need what we thought we wanted, even though it would have been business for them! Wow! Where do you get that kind of honesty? We'll certainly consider them first for future needs! read more

We didn't have any work done with this company HOWEVER the customer service was fantastic talking through a quote and estimate. We really appreciated the honesty for the amount of work and money that would need to go into our water damaged cement in our backyard. They recommended not re-coating for our specific project due to the amount of damage that would need to be repaired being equivalent to a complete dig up and repaving. It's nice to have an honest company be upfront. read more

The overall experience was great with Allied. After considering several quotes, Allied met our budgeted number and provided services a few others charged for. The quality of work was what was expected and we are very happy with the look of our entry and driveway. We didn't have cracked areas, just residual wear and water stains that were taken care of with the plidek cement coats used and the new hickory non slip top coat. We would highly recommend Allied for their services. read more

This folks are awesome. They completely changed our backyard. It looks like an extension of our house.

Needed to update tired looking patio concrete. They did a great job We are very happy Joe did exactly what he said he would do, no hidden fees and right on time Love how it changes our backyard read more

We are repeat customers, having our front walkway done by Allied Coatings 13 years ago and now re-done due to our changing the color scheme of our house. I was pleased to see that Joe was still there! Joe was very responsive and came out to give us a quote quickly and took his time discussing our plan and expectations. They were able to work around our schedule for re-landscaping, which we really appreciated. We were not initially pleased with the results of the new coating, however Jim, the project supervisor, was very responsive to our concerns. He had his crew come out promptly and re-did the entire job. Travis was fantastic communicating with us and getting the color just right. I am a firm believer that the mark of a good company is not just how they respond when things go well, but what happens when it does not go as expected by the customer. Allied Coatings did a fabulous job with their service recovery and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future! read more

You want to do business with this company. Honest, timely communication, and they will provide you candid advice without trying to make a big sale. We had them over to look at our finished concrete floors with minor wear because we thought they needed to be redone to avoid damage. Joe was an honest broker and offered recommendations to save us money, even at the expense of landing the job this time around. But make no mistake, they will get our business for future projects. We need more companies and businesses with the same level of honesty and trustworthiness. read more

I consulted with Joe about resurfacing our patio area which was to be done during/after tearing out and replacing a large second story deck. He arrived on time & masked! After taking a look at the extent of our project, he simply said that we would be much better off to just tear out all of the old existing cement patio and brick walkways and to have the concrete company redo the entire cement area! It would make more financial sense, and in the end it would be a better result...all new and matching! Wow... no hard sell, no pressure...just gave me an honest opinion of the best option for my paticular project...even though it would not end up being a job for him! I appreciate his straight forward advice. Thank you, Joe! read more

We contacted Allied Coatings and Joe got back to us immediately and after discussing our problem patio, we were very impressed with his knowledge and results. Joe gave us a great price and set up a date for installation! Ruben and Fernando showed up and began work, 3 days later they were finished and the patio looks beautiful. All were extremely professional and friendly. Would recommend them to anyone and would definitely use them again if we needed. read more

What a great company. Darren came out and injected polyurethane into our retaining wall, which was never properly waterproofed by the previous owner, forming a curtain on the other side of the wall. With a couple of touchups, the results were perfect. We performed multiple water tests, and there's now zero moisture. This was really important to us because our house is built up against the retaining wall, and we had had an enormous mold problem. Now it's been fixed, thanks to Darren's expert handiwork. Was super impressed by the process and by his commitment to quality. He called me numerous times to follow up and to make sure that everything "took." Really cares about the customer. Great outfit. read more

From start to finish, Allied Coatings did a great job on resurfacing my patio. My house was built in 1960 and the patio is as old as the house. Structurally pretty sound but with small cracks and patches and sections where posts had been removed without patching and needed a facelift. I met Joe the sales rep first who came over and explained everything in a detailed but straight forward way, telling me exactly what they'd do and exactly the materials they used. Very polite and friendly and cool with the social distancing. In addition to the job he gave background on the company and explained they have been around awhile and use their own crew. Speaking of the crew, they were great. Very professional, on time and knew their stuff. Very good with setup, cleanup, and telling us when they'd be there and for how long. Very happy with the patio and the work that was done. You can see in the before and after photos what a difference it made. Thanks Allied Coatings! read more
