Being relatively new to the Escondido area, I needed to get some quotes to have our yard upgraded from the 40 year old brick and mortar decking. Yelp has been my "go to" when finding contractors to help with home projects. Scott gave us the modern pool look we were looking for and exactly the cool black spa we wanted. The bonus is the Pentair IntelliBrite LED lights. We recently hired Concrete Creations to take our front/backyard from dirt to an island oasis. Scott and his crew accomplished the goal! From the start, Scott was professional. Concrete creations and Scott the owner is an awesome pool Builder. My wife and I reviewed 5 different trusted pool builders and talk with each on our plans and goals on transforming our back yard. Scott was the only one that listened and added some really cool ideas to the overall plan that none of the other builders thought of. His crew and time line was spot on. The quality and finished product was again spot on. His knowledge of landscaping and lighting was another huge help in getting all the details perfect. We contacted Scott Johnson of Concrete Creations to work with us on remodeling our gopher infested backyard. He was very attentive and listened to all of our ideas and our concerns. Following our initial discussions, Scott came back with an inspired design and layout, which he presented to us as a 3D CAD rendering. We were excited to get going. I will say that it is a little disconcerting when your backyard goes from kind of flat and kind of green to mounds of dirt, huge holes and trenches, and tractors and bobcats during construction. So be ready! We had good crews working on our project. They were all very nice and personable. Cleaned up pretty well daily, and didn't cut any corners. The custom rock work on the columns and walls are extraordinary. Scott continued to be attentive all the way through this project as we added two small projects to totally transform our backyard into the paradise we have today. This review has been long over due. We first contacted CC several years ago when looking to do some side yard work and built a customer BBQ outdoor dining area. After deciding to go with Scott Johnson I can say that it is without a doubt one of the best decisions we made. We were so happy with his crew and how great things came out, we had no hesitation contacting him a few years later when it was time to remodel our pool. I can tell you that you will find cheaper contractors out there, but that is what you will get, cheap contractors. Scott was always looking out for where to spend the money in the best way that made us happiest. Yes, we did spend more than some other quotes, but the work that they did has made us realize we made the right decision. During the entire process of construction the crew that Scott has are not just craftsman, they are neat and clean with leaving everything as cleaned up in our yard as possible each day. We added a new deck, fireplace, fire bowl and completely remodeled our pool with new coping and pebble coating. He also installed new back yard lights to show off our backyard at night.
