Mary is a literal pro when it comes to the insurance side of things. She worked tirelessly on the supplements to ensure we maximized our RCV payout from our insurance. She caught things the adjuster missed and helped us get the settlement we actually needed to do the job right. Bolo, the project manager, was extremely responsive and reasonable throughout the entire build. Whenever a technical issue came up--even complex stuff like electrical circuit stability or specific plumbing heights--he was there to talk it through and get it handled. One thing I will say for people considering them: you need to be the kind of homeowner who has the capacity to stay on top of the work. If you know exactly what you want and you're willing to stay involved in the day-to-day details, C2C is an incredible solution. It's a partnership, and because I stayed engaged, we were able to hit a level of quality that usually costs twice as much. Charley was our project manager; he kept the project moving forward and was extremely responsive to texts and calls. They helped us change the cabinet layout a bit and it ends up being more functional while also having much more usable space. The flooring and baseboards turned out terrific, it really changes the look and feel of the space. We had picked out something that was not one of their usual suppliers, but that was no problem. They really work with you to get exactly what you want. All the workers were friendly, skilled and left our house clean at the end of the day. My thanks to everyone that worked on our project. Chuck finished the kitchen up and did fine work with our plumbing which required some intricate work to accommodate our layout. I highly recommend Mastercraft and would use them again for any future work.

Of the many options they had the best ideas and the qualified workmen. Mike Garst considered the project from every angle, brought in members of his team on 3 occasions to suggest approaches. When they opened the dry wall we found the supports were rotted & had to be replaced. They built a roof support, replaced damaged wood, added cement inside the walls higher than outside level to prevent leaks, then filled a beautiful solid cement floor and repaired the drywall. Better than good as new, this room boasts a superior foundation that gives me confidence. Every member of Mike's team is punctual, profesional, knowledgeable and courteous. When work was done, Mike came and, on his own account, adjusted the sticky sliding door so it moves smoothly. Mike's boss, Brian, also came several times to look over the project. I feel very fortunate to have had MASTERCRAFT take on this hugely complex project and bring a disaster to a happy ending.They explained options, patiently answered my questions and were courteous and pleasant throughout. When we started, we only knew what we didn't like about our current kitchen. Like any major…read moreproject, we started by reaching out to a couple of vendors to get quotes, that's where we met Alon, the project manager for Lumina Builders. What immediately stood out to us was that he had ideas and solutions to address our pain points and make enhancements, we wouldn't have ever considered, and didn't just wait for us to tell him how we wanted things. He created a vision for us in that first quote visit. The other contractor we spoke to didn't provide any ideas just asked us how we wanted it. It was a very easy decision to go with Alon and Lumina Builders. Our project was estimated to take 2-3 months and ultimately took two and a half months to complete. We designed a brand new kitchen, addressing all of our concerns and adding a few recommendations from Alon to streamline some areas. They ripped everything out aside from the flooring and walls. We got brand new custom cabinets, custom lighting, and new countertops. Our fridge was moved to a new, more accessible area. Our sink was shifted down to align with the stove for continuity sake (never realized how much I hated it being in a corner previously). We had a new little cabinet built in our little breakfast nook area and we had an appliance garage built to house everything that took up counter space. Everything is so much brighter and more open and, even though we know the demensions are roughly the same, it feels so much wider. We are ecstatic with how everything came out. Alon is a genius. He was responsive to us throughout the project, checking in weekly to see how things were going, giving us peace of mind throughout this process, as first time remodelers. We were indecisive about the primary cabinet color (I was very worried we'd be stuck with something we didn't really like) but he worked with the cabinet makes to give us several samples to choose from. Bill is a true craftsman! I've had a wood gate that has needed rebuilding for the last 8 years…read more Pieces of the wood gate were rotting. Over the years, I've had other handymen pass on the project. I had a handyman who was able to fill the rotted areas with wood filler, sand it, and restain it. I've even had a gate company tell me that they could not save the gate; it would need to be completely replaced. Bill was able to cut out the rotted pieces of wood, replace them, and restain the whole gate (he also repainted the decorative hardware on the door as well). Moreover, he discussed the project with a buddy of his and they determined that the gate was sitting over a muddy part of landscaping which is probably what facilitated the deterioration of the wood. We found some leftover pavers in our storage shed and Bill extended the pavers so the gate would sit over pavers instead of mud. Before he embarked on the wood gate repair, Bill also installed a valance/shade over a window. He made the necessary calculations to ensure that the valance/shade would be centered on the wall and window. He also made sure that the valence was leveled. Bill is honest, meticulous and detail-oriented. If you want someone to treat your project and your home, like it's his own, I would give Bill a call.

Here are a few things that set them apart from other contractors I interviewed: 1) responsive but not pushy. Some stone fabricators in San diego are incredibly pushy. 2) professional- in communication and in the way they do their operations. 3) high tech machinery and a clean cutting room. They let me see the cut template before cutting. 4) high attention to detail. 5) a proper itemized contract. Some contractors would just send me a text message with rates. That's not the way I want to do business, especially when thousands of dollars are being exchanged. The way they did quotes and contracts is what made me pull the trigger. They were mid point on price but for the service and quality you got, i felt it was a great value. I also love giving my money to a nice, hard working family. During inspection of the attic it was identified that we might have a leak issue at the roof line. I called five different Stucco companies that were referred to me for a repair and none of them were licensed. I found Joe who is licensed and he saved us! We were up against the clock in order to close. I was not a repeat Customer. This was the first time I ever dealt with him so he owed me nothing yet he treated me like we were the most important people. He did our repairs over a weekend to be ready for reinspection. His communication was on point and he could have really gouged me price wise but didn't. His number is now forever in my contacts, if you need stucco work at your home this is the guy to call!!

I am extremely thankful to Joseph at JRP Plastering and Stucco for all of the help that he provided…read moreus with our leak situation. During the huge rains we had in Oceanside we developed a leak in our second floor bathroom in the area below a window. Various companies I called were not interested in trying to figure out the source of the problem and just blamed the windows. When I called Joseph however it was a different story. He is extremely detail oriented and took the time to investigate the potential causes. He determined it was from cracked stucco near the window, but not the window itself. Which made perfect sense with the location and behavior of the leak. He meticulously started opening up the stucco to see the extent of the damage. He found the paper under the stucco had deteriorated pretty severely on that wall due to the extreme sun exposure over the years. He continued to open it up until he was comfortable that he had exposed all the issues. After replacing all the damaged areas, stuccoing the entire wall and repainting, you couldn't even tell the whole side had been opened up. He even took the time to examine all the windows above the area of the leak for any damage, and thoroughly cleaned them and even resealed them. We also had Joseph remove a statue from an alcove and re stucco the area. And again, his work was impeccable. Paint matching was perfect. He took pictures of everything as he worked, he explained all of the things he was doing and why he was doing them. His pricing was very fair and communication was very good. On a personal note, he was a pleasure to work with. I appreciate his attention to detail, and his quality work. But he was also just a kind and friendly person to talk with. He would even offer to pick up food or supplies for us if we needed anything when he was on his way or getting supplies. I highly recommend Joseph in all regards.
