We moved into a fixer upper last year. The backyard was all dirt and every time is rained water would flood into our garage. We want to fix up the yard for our 2 small children so we got a few quotes on pouring cement for a patio. Blake at Gold Star Concrete came out to give us quote, provided us a little sketch of the project we discussed, and offered his suggestions to deal with the flooding we had. The price was reasonable and Blake was a nice guy and seemed like he'd be easy to work with so we went with Gold Star. We were so happy we did! Blake and his team began work and we had a few delays due to the rain. Blake communicated frequently the scheduled work and if rain was forecasted he made sure to let us know if they would be delayed in getting out to our house. He made suggestions throughout the project and listened to any concerns or request we had. By the end of the project, we love our new patio! I never thought I would be excited about walking on cement :) Overall we are very happy with how everything turned out and we got a little after the patio was installed that tested our new patio drains - no floods in the garage! My second project completed by Goldstar Concrete. I had Blake pave my side yard 40'x12', install drains, and build a curb with post ties anchored into the curb. He installed a 5' high cedar fence on the curb keeping the wood off water. He finished off the project with a 6'x12' gate to contain my dogs. His work is solid. Highly recommended!
