Jason Farr, AVIARA Pavers Inc. just converted our 2200 square foot concrete driveway/entry sidewalk into pavers in only 5 days. They performed an outstanding job. We are so happy that we came across Aviara Pavers to work with on our driveway and backyard hardscaping. Jason and Daniel were so great to work with! The Aviara team was fast and professional, and helped come up with some creative solutions for our outdoor space. We love the look of our finished driveway, which we selected based on some very helpful perspective and guidance from Jason - he even met us out at a material yard to go through various options as we landed our decisions. The team completed the work in good time, with great quality, and competitive pricing. We look forward to working with them again on future projects at our home! read more

Hi! I own Rouleur Brewing in hired Aviara to install pavers in our front patio. I am really impressed and pleased with the job their team performed. I've worked with a lot of contractors with my brewery and home projects and their crew was top notch. The quality of work is outstanding. Plus it was very relieving to see the site get cleaned up so well at the end of the job. Definitely recommend. Cheers read more

Aviara Pavers transformed our backyard in North County into just what we had envisioned with the help of Jason and Daniel and the Aviara Paver crew. We shopped our project around to all of the local companies and after doing our research we chose Aviara Pavers and we are glad that we did. I can't say enough about how great it was to work with these guys. They made all the adjustments along the way as we progressed through our install. A ton of work went into making the entire thing happen and these guys did it like real craftsmen. The crew worked long days and made fast progress. The guys were always professional, friendly and approachable for questions / concerns. I couldn't have asked for better communication between Daniel and myself throughout the progress. They earned these 5 stars ! read more

Construction equipment used in a recent whole-home renovation left our concrete driveway cracked and broken; we opted to replace the old concrete with pavers. After meeting with several of the best-known paver companies in town, we chose Aviara Pavers. They were neither the least nor the most expensive; but we were impressed with their gallery of work, design ideas, references, and their staff. The project managers, Daniel O. and Jeff M., were on-site daily, and always reachable. Things progressed quickly and smoothly, and any questions we asked throughout the process were quickly and expertly addressed. When issues arose due to topology, or matching up to existing hardscape, Daniel and Jeff offered recommendations that resulted in effective and aesthetically pleasing solutions. The project was completed faster than we expected, and there were no unexpected costs. The Aviara Pavers laborers were craftsmen: we'd done some smaller-scale tile and paver work on our own, so we could really appreciate the meticulous nature of their work. The pattern layout, the arrangement of colors, and the intricate cuts on angled and curved walkways look like the handiwork of old-world artisans. Their laborers were hardworking, courteous, and cleaned up the site at the end of every workday. In short, Aviara Pavers exceeded our expectations in every way. The quality of their work was exemplary, their prices were reasonable, and their customer service was everything you could ask for in a major project contractor. We recommend them most highly. read more

I am happy to write this review for Aviara Pavers. My wife and I were looking to retrofit our built in grill space due to a gas leak we were experiencing. Jason came to our home on short notice to assess the situation and provided us with some options. We ultimately decided to invest in completely re-doing our backyard space. Although we already have a custom pool, we wanted to replace grass with turf, concrete with beautiful pavers, put a new gas line in, a new fire pit, and a custom bbq area for our new grill. They even created a putting green for us! From start to finish, Jason and Daniel (our project manager) were extremely easy to work with. They are creative and make suggestions when you ask, but still are clear that the customer is in charge - zero pressure. They were efficient, and came in at about half the quoted cost of a competitor we met with. The team was great too. At the end, Daniel and Jason helped me get the new grill going and Daniel even helped me install the cantilever umbrella we bought to put into the cooking space. Definitely a 5 star experience and love our new backyard! read more

We just LOVE Aviara pavers. We recently called Daniel about a water leak detected under our pavers. He was out the next day to assess the area, and sent his guys out ASAP. We used CPL to detect the leak and they were spot on! The guys not only removed the pavers but dug down to the leak 30 inches found the leak and capped it for the plumbers. Amazing! Peter, you didn't have to go the extra mile, but you did - thank you for that. Daniel, we knew you and your team were amazing when you installed the pavers but once again you exceeded all our expectations with your top-notch work. read more

We did a massive project with Aviara Pavers last spring and after adjusting to our new amazing yard and driveway we had Jason and his crew come back to work on another part of the yard we didn't realize we needed to do. This most recent project is an amazing part of the puzzle that makes what Aviara already made amazing just that much better. I really can't say enough about how amazing our yard is and how professional and fast the crew was. They cleaned up after each day, which is not common amongst contractors, and shows they really do care about the project. Everyone was super-nice and while we love it I think our dogs love it even more! It is worth every penny and we are super happy we decided to move forward with this last piece of our project and are excited to live in/with it for decades to come! read more

Working with Jason and Daniel at Aviara Pavers (and the entire crew) has been one of the best renovation projects we have ever undertaken. The bid provided was 45% less expensive than the next lowest bid for our project. They were able to start so quickly and finished before the finish date they provided to begin with. The crew was always on time and never stopped working! The finished project is beyond our wildest expectations and looks better than we imagined. The Aviara Pavers team built a beautiful backyard for us and we are very grateful for their professional conduct and overall extremally positive experience. Our project was large and took nearly 8 months to install the pavers in the courtyard and backyard, install porcelain steps leading to the backyard, build an outdoor kitchen and a gazebo and a firepit in the backyard. Aaron helped us with the design and selection of materials and we are very happy with the results. Daniel managed the project and patiently attended to each request and changes. The team that worked here was amazing, they worked hard, fast and built beautiful outdoor living space for us. We can't wait to continue upgrading our new home surroundings with this team in the future and will be sure to post more beautiful pictures with results. read more

Honestly just a great experience from start to finish. Quick response to our initial request for quote where we had a great discussion about options before ending up with final decisions and numbers. Work began ahead of schedule and finished in the defined amount of time once started. Staff arrived every day early and were very professional and pleasant. All questions were answered in a timely and professional manner. We had initially asked to have the job done by the end of June. I sit here today on the finished product and we're not half way thru June yet! Absolutely would recommend these guys to anyone looking for paver work. We are thrilled. read more

Is there a way to give more stars? Right from the start, when Jason came out to provide a bid, it was clear he knew what he was doing - very knowledgeable, professional, and personable. He communicated well before and during the project. His team is hard-working and experienced. They put in long hours (including a 12-hour day). The workmanship is excellent. Without a doubt the best company I've ever worked with. From Jason, the owner to the guys that came to install, all were extremely professional and exceeded our expectations. Please note this was not a very big job (small patio in a new townhome), but Jason and Daniel made us feel like it was a $1 million dollar project. I'd like to add we had a problem about a year later (having nothing to do with them, but from sun exposure) and a year later, they came back and reinstall our turf. What more can you ask for in a company? I can't say enough wonderful things about Jason and his crew, I would highly recommend them. read more

After living in our home for a number of years, we decided to remodel and upgrade our backyard by adding new pavers, turf, and an outdoor kitchen. All of the contractors we called quickly responded to our inquiries. Our final meeting was with Daniel of Aviara Pavers. He spent significantly more time with us than the others. He took a number of photos, in addition to taking detailed measurements. After meeting with him the first time, we both felt Daniel would be great to work with. We were so happy that his bid was competitive. When submitting his drawings and bid, he also made suggestions regarding lighting, running a gas pipeline to the BBQ and fire pit, padding under the turf to provide additional cushioning for our grandchildren, etc. Never was there any pressure, but we are so happy with his input as our final result far exceeds what we originally envisioned. Daniel brought a number of paver samples by our house and even met with us on two occasions at the distributor so that we could see all of the pavers and kitchen siding options as we made our final selections. During the project, Daniel was in constant contact with us and stopped by almost every day to inspect the progress. It seemed as though we were Aviara's most important clients. The men who worked on the project were polite, on time, and worked extremely hard. They even worked more than 8-hour days if certain phases of the project dictated that. Bottom line, hire Aviara Pavers! You won't be disappointed and they will exceed your expectations! read more

Aviara Pavers is a 5-star company. Daniel was excellent from the very beginning. He helped us create the design for pavers, turf, and a putting green. We sought other estimates but we kept coming back to Aviara Pavers because of Daniel and his honest approach and willingness to work with us. This is a long review, but if you're skimming quickly, the bottom line is .... great company, great result, great process. After getting quite a few estimates, we chose Aviara and we am very happy that we did. After living in our house in Rancho Bernardo for a year, we decided to get rid of our backyard landscape rocks and aging flagstone patio. With every estimate obtained we learned more about what we wanted and what to ask. Even so, Jason Farr, the owner of Aviara, wasn't the last person we talked to, but after meeting him we were pretty sure his company would be the one we picked. His estimate wasn't the cheapest, nor was it the highest. Initially, we decided on Aviara for several reasons. Jason addressed all of our concerns, had some creative solutions, and didn't suggest anything that we had learned would be a bad idea (again, we had learned with every estimate received, and some people made suggestions that didn't make sense). His company work process sounded good to us, being neither too large nor too small, and we liked him personally. We asked for references, who of course had positive things to say. What mattered to us was what they were happy about, and how they experienced Aviara's work. Once we decided, we were able to set a date, and finish picking paver brands and colors. Jason was very accommodating, driving to look at neighborhood driveways whose color we liked, bring samples, and helping us decide on whether we wanted a mix. Of all of the project decisions, this was the hardest, because obviously you don't want to change your mind on paver selection mid-stream. He contributed his ideas, listened to our thoughts, and soon enough we felt confident in our decision. Once the job began, Daniel, the project manager took the reins for then most part, and he too was wonderful to work with. The same 3 man crew was there from beginning to end, they cleaned up every day, and even worked with us to make sure we could park in the garage every night, which is a big deal to us. Everything went extremely well, and finished on time and on schedule. When part of the concrete sidewalk in back turned out to be the wrong level for drainage, Jason and Daniel alerted us, we talked options, and the necessary changes were made to the plan. Jason said that he would only charge us his costs for that. That necessary change led us to make a related change, and in the long run, he only charged us for the 2nd one, not the first. Three other major bright spots. When Jason called with a start date, sooner than we had expected, it happened to coincide with day after our 2ndCOVID vaccine. We discussed it, he said he would do his best to delay, but wasn't at all sure he could without having us get back in line. A day or two before, he was able to let us know he had a one day job he could squeeze in, so we were able to relax going into the vaccine knowing there wouldn't be jackhammers in our yard for day 2 (which turned out to be a real blessing). Secondly, when we signed the contract, Jason knew that drainage, especially near the brick walled sun room, was a major concern and one of the big reasons for doing the project in the first place. He agreed to perform a hose test at the end to alleviate our concerns. This even though he provides a 5 year labor warranty, far beyond all the other companies' 1 year warranties. And finally, at the end, when we were already 100% satisfied and had paid in full, Jason came back and looked at our concrete driveway. He decided that the paver tractor had left tire marks on it, and arranged to have Daniel come with a pressure washer to clean it. And when Daniel did so, he cleaned our driveway to backyard sidewalk as well, which wasn't impacted by Aviara at all. All in all, a wonderful experience. We wish they did other work we need done as well, so that we could hire them again. They are that good. We recommend them highly. read more

My fiancé and I shopped around and received quotes from 4 other companies before finally choosing Aviara Pavers. What stood out almost immediately was Jason's expertise, friendliness, and honesty. We didn't have the easiest situation because of the amount of stone debris buried in our yard from the previous owner, but Jason was confident in his crews ability to tackle the issue. This was not the case with other contractors--as they used this to create a price point that was out of the budget. Our project involved DG pathways, pour in place concrete blocks and stairs, multiple grade changes, turf installation, retaining walls, concrete countertops, drainage...ALL of which were completed at an expert level. I had multiple friends, who are landscape architects, over while the work was being done and they both praised the detail and quality of the crews work. The quoted price matched up with final price (with a few adjustments for additional work requested). Jason was in constant communication through the entire process, extremely responsive, and was available to come walk us through decisions we had to make about the project. The crew were great, funny, trustworthy and EXTREMELY hard-working. I would recommend Aviara Pavers to anyone and everyone. I could go on with additional details but I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. read more

I think this company is as good as it gets when you're working with contractors. I've recently remodeled my backyard and downstairs so it was finally time to take care of the front yard. In my experience it can be difficult to even get people to show up to give you a quote if you're not a massive job, but Jason and his team were always punctual and very responsive. When Jason first showed up with his iPad and design software, I thought, "no way are we going to be using this company because the quote is going to be really high" but it was very competitive and they were willing to work with me to fit the project into my budget. He didn't charge me any extra for the extensive roots that had to be removed and they redid my entire front yard in two weeks. Anything I had a concern about they were happy to fix and I've had compliments from many of my neighbors. read more

I hired Mr Farr for a hardscape project here in Carlsbad. We had some ideas but Jason created a beautiful design that fit our design style that was mind blowing. When it comes to vision, business acumen, integrity and this is your partner - look no further. People are so wrapped up in cost they miss the value of the materials, people and quality. As OCD as we are Aviara elevated our expectations to a different level. On time, quality, ownership onsite and a high level of attention to detail are only a few cornerstones of Aviara. I would happily be a reference for anyone - beware of the low ball companies that want to enter this space. You truly get what you pay for. If I had to give 5 stars I would give 15 - you can measure the quality of Aviara. True professionals that care about long term relationships and brand. read more

We recently used Aviara Pavers to install pavers, stairs, and lighting at our home in La Mesa. Jason Farr and his team were amazing. We couldn't be happier with the work they performed and would highly recommend to anyone looking for similar work (we would definitely hire them again too). Jason is a super cool, laid-back guy who put 0 pressure on us to do anything. In fact, we lost touch over a few months, and I was the one who reinitiated the bidding process. Jason was responsive, communicative, and honest. Each time something negative occurred, Jason presented options, both truthful (might be expensive) and inexpensive (do nothing), which I appreciated greatly. Overall, Jason and his team turned a process that was stressful into something that I really enjoyed being a part of. I truly felt Jason and his team were there to help us and not just to perform a job. Bonus credit for the team fixing our stucco issue on the back of our garage (free of charge), which I thought about asking they do, but didn't. They just read my mind. Jason did an incredible job for us at our house here in Carlsbad. I'll start by saying I've only done a couple of Yelp reviews (ever!), because frankly it requires a rather comprehensive (& elusive!) level of satisfaction for me to want to carve out the time it takes to write a meaningful review. So here we go... Aviara Pavers... They recently installed artificial turf for us in our backyard. If you're looking to have ANY type of landscaping project done at your home or business, I would highly recommend that your first (& perhaps only) phone call be with Jason Farr, owner/operator. First off, he actually answers his phone!! If you've ever had construction/home improvement projects done before, you'll know that the communication aspect is HUGE. Contractors (even the good ones) are notorious for lagging on returning calls, sending out bids, following up, being clear/concise, etc. I get it... 8+ hour days in the trenches, hard to pick up the 100lb phone. But as the client and ultimately the person writing the check at the end, I not only expect to receive the highest quality of finished product, and but I also demand clear/timely communication throughout. Aviara Pavers & Jason receive an A+ across the board in all categories... No doubt top 1% for exceptional customer service! I live in Escondido & have been on a 3+ year mission to dial in my landscape. The missing & final component to finally have the the back yard of my dreams realized was to swap out 1100sq ft of sod/grass for artificial turf. I consider myself a naturalist, but to maintain an epic lawn in 100+ degree Esco summers requires near daily watering, lots of fertilizer/chemicals (), and ultimately needs re-sodding every 5 years or so. Just the sheer cost of irrigation alone - & frankly, the irresponsibility of daily watering, even if $ were no object - got me thinking twice about turf. And then the rabbits came and annihilated every last blade of grass (not to mention my dog Maya with daily urination), and I finally had made up my mind. My wife somehow found out about Aviara through a friend, and she made the initial phone call to Jason to stop by to discuss project details, and to offer professional advice on layout/shape/size/etc. The next day he came back to drop off a plethora of samples... There were darker greens, lighter greens, mixed coloration, short blade, longer blade, product density, low heat retention.... Decisions decisions!! Jason addressed all our questions & concerns, provided us a professional opinion on a 2-3 of his favorites, but then left them with us to stare at and "try on" for a few days. FYI, he works with a number of different turf vendors, so if you are super particular like us, he will not only get it for you, but be super accommodating in helping you find the right product. The following week, we had a crew at our house. And to say that they worked fast & methodical is an understatement... By the end of that 95 degree day, the install was fully complete! They had: Removed all the previous grass (by hand... a Bobcat would've been too invasive to the surrounding landscape); Capped old sprinkler lines & rerouted new ones (I kept them in place to be able to rinse turf once per week on a 2 min cycle); Brought in yards and yards of DG and road base material to prep the surface; Implemented a gopher mesh and some deodorizing agent (for the dog when she pees). Recreated my surrounding edger boarder as we were enlarging a planter area, & then ultimately worked around various straight and curved lines, cut-outs, etc. to create what you see in the attached pictures. Absolutely stunning!!! One last thing... As with all projects, there were a couple of final details that I wanted to take care of at the end (yep, I'm one of those hard to please clients!). Jason came right back and happily attended to those, and I couldn't be more thrilled. Yes, there's definitely an upfront cost that comes with installation of high quality turf. Aviara is competitive (I did talk to other outfits at the start), but that aside, when you start factoring in ~$50 a month in water savings, the pain and suffering that comes with maintenance, ROI quickly becomes realized, and best yet I now have green REAL looking "grass" year round that the kids (and Maya!) now love to play on. I liken our new turf to "The Dude's Rug" in the movie the Big Lebowksi... "It ties the room together!" Without a doubt one of the most rewarding projects done to date... THANK YOU again Aviara!! PS. Aviara/Jason recently completed a much more comprehensive landscaping project in our neighborhood: Regrading of a front and back yard, beautiful retaining walls, lighting, foliage, turf, the whole nine yards. I marvel at it every time Maya & I walk by on our evening walks. Definitely talk to Jason about his body of work and see for yourself!! read more
