Wanting to epoxy my garage floor, I searched Yelp for a place with good reviews since nobody I knew had a recommendation. I came across Nu and decided on them. They quoted $2000 to epoxy and put flakes in my 2 car garage. They arrange everything on the phone and send a team out to install. You will never meet Nathan the owner. After it was installed and I had paid, I had some concerns about the final product. I tried calling Nathan and left him a message. After that he blocked my number, and I used my friend's phone to call through after which Nathan lied and said he would send out someone to inspect. He blocked my friend's number after that. If you decide to use Nu know that they will come and install. But any support or warranty work, you can forget, the owner will just block your number. read more

After reviewing several options, including DIY, I decided I did not have the expertise to do this job. After some research, I found Nu Garage Epoxy. I got a call back immediately. After discussing their process, which is the process I had researched as the best one providing the best long-term results, I decided to contract with them. They installed a new floor in my two-car garage in a house built in 1978. In 1978, garage floors were not required to be installed with a moisture barrier. So, there were moisture problems that needed to be addressed. Nathan, the owner, knew that this was the case. He has done this type of installation frequently and put down a moisture blocking epoxy. The team that did the installation was outstanding. I was notified that I would get a text before they came, which they did each time. They managed to get the job done in 2 days even though they started late in the afternoon on the first day. The job was done by the end of the 2nd day. It was very nice to have a team of installers get along so well and enjoyed what they were doing. They took a lot of pride in their work and kept me informed of the progress. I was pleased to see that they did the stem wall as well as the floor. The floor is truly beautiful. I had installed drywall, insulation, and repainted the inside of the garage. The floor was the final step. Now I have a garage that I can keep clean--important, since it is our laundry, pantry, and workshop as well as accommodating our new Prius Prime. We decided to hire Nu for the epoxy floor installation in our garage and had found them based on their reviews on Yelp. After working with them, we're honestly a bit. surprised they have as good of reviews as they do. We experienced poor communication and the job took a full three days instead of the 1-2 that was promised. Our job was scheduled over a month in advance, as we had a contractor lined up to do additional work after the epoxy flooring was completed, so the timeline was very important for us. On the day our project was supposed to start, despite the confirmed hours of work being between 9AM to 3PM, they didn't show up until nearly 5PM to get the project started. They grinded and prepped our garage concrete from 5-8PM the first night. The second day they arrived to do the second stage of the process, and that went fine - they arrived within the projected time windows and finished early afternoon. The third day we experienced more challenges with timing and communication. Throughout the day we reached out multiple times to check-in and confirm that someone would be arriving to complete the job and it wasn't until 3:00 that we received a message that "they never no-show". By 4:20 we finally received a message that they were on their way but they did not show up until after 6:30PM to complete the project. Throughout the entire project the owner had a bit of an attitude, acting like any oversights and time mismanagement was our fault. When we addressed the timeline with him and let him know if we didn't finish within the estimated three days, that we'd have to adjust our contractor and pay for extra time on the storage pods we'd ordered, he responded with "I'm sorry, but that has nothing to do with us". Overall, the epoxy came out as hoped, but it was not a great experience with poor customer service, communication, and time management. The project likely could have been done within one to two days had they prioritized us better from the start. While the finished product does appear to be done well, with so many options in San Diego for epoxy companies, I would not choose this one. We will definitely not be recommending them to others. read more

I just completed my epoxy flooring through NuGarage & Epoxy and couldn't be happier with the process and outcome. I chose NuGarage because they had good reviews, ex Military and family run. Nathan was up front with no hidden costs and I paid exactly what he had quoted me. He did tell me I could check out a few add-on's and if I had and questions I could reach out to him but he never pushed My job was scheduled 2 weeks out and my notification were automated and frequent once the job started. Two people showed up for the job and Josie seemed to be in charge. I told her I had no idea what to expect or what the process was.
