We recently had approximately 2,000 square feet of epoxy flooring redone across three separate areas. Our previous contractor had completely missed the mark. All three areas had the wrong color, and two of them were extremely slippery, despite our two biggest priorities being matching the existing floor color and having a safe, slip-resistant finish. After dealing with that frustrating experience, we hired this company to remove the previous epoxy and redo everything from scratch. They absolutely nailed it! The color came out exactly how we wanted, the slip resistance was perfect, and the overall quality of the work was excellent. They made sure everything was done properly and that we were completely satisfied with the final result. The only area that could use improvement is communication. At times, they were difficult to reach and weren't always quick to respond. That said, we understand that running a smaller crew and being hands-on with projects can make it challenging to stay on top of phone calls. Nobody is perfect, and ultimately, the quality of the work is what matters most to us. We are extremely happy with the finished product! Everything looks fantastic, and the floors have been holding up great so far. We would absolutely hire them again for future projects and highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality epoxy flooring work. Thank you for getting the job done right! read more

Nate was very responsive when we reached out for a quote. He walked us through all their steps and offer fair pricing. His crew is honest and hard working people. First day a guy showed up to grind and fill up the crack, we had so many and he worked so hard. Second day two other guys shows up to now work on the floor and last coating. I couldn't be happier with the work that Nu Garage did for us! I found Nathan originally here on Yelp and first noticed all of his great reviews. I also loved that it was Veteran owned since we are a military family too. I sent Nathan a message and he quickly contacted me and he was so kind and informative. We were able to schedule something just a week or so later. They started the work on a Monday and completed it all on Wednesday. We had an awful old epoxy coating on the floor and they were able to sand it all down and remove it and make it so beautiful! We chose the peppermill epoxy flooring and we love it. The crew was very friendly and never left a mess. And I feel that their pricing is great. I highly recommend Nu Garage for your garage flooring! You will love it! :) read more

Withdrawing previous review, posted in anger due to a driving incident irrelevant to the quality of the services they provide.

I contacted Nu Garage and they say the would call me at several times but have never followed through. We set three separate times to have a phone call but they never reached out. I even texted them to confirm and they always said yes, but still no call back. If it's this hard to communicate right now, I imagine it would be very hard to contact them if you needed help after install (prob just like Alice's review below) read more

This crew is seriously the best. I was referred by a friend and couldn't be happier. They did an epoxy coating in my new home in the garage and a moisture barrier in 3 bedrooms to prep for flooring. They are perfectionists. Understood what we needed and got it done right and fast. Everyone that sees it asks who made the garage floor look so beautiful. Wanting to epoxy my garage floor, I searched Yelp for a place with good reviews since nobody I knew had a recommendation. I came across Nu and decided on them. They quoted $2000 to epoxy and put flakes in my 2 car garage. They arrange everything on the phone and send a team out to install. You will never meet Nathan the owner. After it was installed and I had paid, I had some concerns about the final product. I tried calling Nathan and left him a message. After that he blocked my number, and I used my friend's phone to call through after which Nathan lied and said he would send out someone to inspect. He blocked my friend's number after that. If you decide to use Nu know that they will come and install. But any support or warranty work, you can forget, the owner will just block your number. read more

My wife and I recently moved into a new build home here in San Diego and knew we'd like to have our garage floor done to increase its durability and give it a nicer look. Originally I planned to get it epoxied, but after speaking with Nathan at Nu Garage & Epoxy, I ended up going with Rhino Trax instead. What sold me on these is the clean look, increased durability, the 100% lifetime warranty, and most of all that they're removable if needed, so you can take them with you if you ever move. The value that this service provides well outweighs the cost, so it was a no brainer for me. Nathan was very responsive throughout the process and worked with me to get the service scheduled. His team came out and were able to quickly install the flooring, and it has absolutely elevated the look and performance of our garage. We are very happy with the service from Nathan and his team and will be sure to recommend them to friends and family going forward! read more

After reviewing several options, including DIY, I decided I did not have the expertise to do this job. After some research, I found Nu Garage Epoxy. I got a call back immediately. After discussing their process, which is the process I had researched as the best one providing the best long-term results, I decided to contract with them. They installed a new floor in my two-car garage in a house built in 1978. In 1978, garage floors were not required to be installed with a moisture barrier. So, there were moisture problems that needed to be addressed. Nathan, the owner, knew that this was the case. He has done this type of installation frequently and put down a moisture blocking epoxy. The team that did the installation was outstanding. I was notified that I would get a text before they came, which they did each time. They managed to get the job done in 2 days even though they started late in the afternoon on the first day. The job was done by the end of the 2nd day. It was very nice to have a team of installers get along so well and enjoyed what they were doing. They took a lot of pride in their work and kept me informed of the progress. I was pleased to see that they did the stem wall as well as the floor. The floor is truly beautiful. I had installed drywall, insulation, and repainted the inside of the garage. The floor was the final step. Now I have a garage that I can keep clean--important, since it is our laundry, pantry, and workshop as well as accommodating our new Prius Prime. The results are well worth what I paid. read more

We decided to hire Nu for the epoxy floor installation in our garage and had found them based on their reviews on Yelp. After working with them, we're honestly a bit. surprised they have as good of reviews as they do. We experienced poor communication and the job took a full three days instead of the 1-2 that was promised. Our job was scheduled over a month in advance, as we had a contractor lined up to do additional work after the epoxy flooring was completed, so the timeline was very important for us. On the day our project was supposed to start, despite the confirmed hours of work being between 9AM to 3PM, they didn't show up until nearly 5PM to get the project started. They grinded and prepped our garage concrete from 5-8PM the first night. The second day they arrived to do the second stage of the process, and that went fine - they arrived within the projected time windows and finished early afternoon. The third day we experienced more challenges with timing and communication. Throughout the day we reached out multiple times to check-in and confirm that someone would be arriving to complete the job and it wasn't until 3:00 that we received a message that "they never no-show". By 4:20 we finally received a message that they were on their way but they did not show up until after 6:30PM to complete the project. Throughout the entire project the owner had a bit of an attitude, acting like any oversights and time mismanagement was our fault. When we addressed the timeline with him and let him know if we didn't finish within the estimated three days, that we'd have to adjust our contractor and pay for extra time on the storage pods we'd ordered, he responded with "I'm sorry, but that has nothing to do with us". Overall, the epoxy came out as hoped, but it was not a great experience with poor customer service, communication, and time management. The project likely could have been done within one to two days had they prioritized us better from the start. While the finished product does appear to be done well, with so many options in San Diego for epoxy companies, I would not choose this one. We will definitely not be recommending them to others. read more
