Beware of this Company which is a one-man show. The owner does not visit you to determine the scope of any project and cost. Instead he relies on several different contract crews for this determination. Here's my horror story: * Aug 23 - Epoxy floor installed based on a crew's recommendation, without any moisture barrier base coat. No tests made whether this was necessary * Dec 23- Floor peeled badly in just 4 months, due to rising moisture pushing the coating. * Aug 24 - Floor repaired after 8 months of struggling to get the owner to fix it. No moisture barrier despite the obvious issue. He did not answer any phone calls so my only option was endless emails. Lots of excuses and promises not kept. I will not even go into his innovative excuses * Aug 25 - 12 months later, the floor peeled again. I did not want another repair without moisture barrier, which the owner would not commit to. * Oct 25 - So I asked for a full refund of my payment to which he did not respond. * Nov 25 - I lodged a complaint with California State Licensing Board (CSLB), who were extremely helpful. For a long time the owner would not co-operate even with them. * Jun 26 - In the end, after a CSLB Expert's Report condemning lack of moisture barrier as the primary cause and with possible CSLB disciplinary action, he refunded my money Almost 3 years of absolute hell and wasted time over this. Without CSLB's help I would not have the money refunded. There is no Customer Service at TRC Garage, only Customer Disservice! This Company deserves 5 NEGATIVE stars. We approved the design on the spot on a Tuesday Nov 7, by the next Monday all demo was done and floors were done by Friday Nov 17. Due to other work we were doing with electrical, paint and drywall the cabinets got installed on Tuesday Nov 28. The entire job was done 3 weeks after our first appointment and it looks great. TRC Garage offers a free consultation and measurement of one's garage space for an accurate installation. There are a lot of choices for cabinets such as cabinet color, workbench color/finish, handle finish and style, etc. I went with graphite and satin nickel SS handles, and the 'traditional' style cabinet which offers more room. The Euro style is great but uses up a bit of depth. Ryean measured twice on two separate trips to confirm everything, including how my incoming refrigerator might affect things. I didn't mind this at all. Better to measure twice and cut once, especially with something like cabinets which aren't easy or cheap to do over. In preparation, I had the water heater drainage pipes removed with a gas shutoff in their place (legal, up to code) and this made cabinet installation so much easier. TRC also removed the overhead ceiling rack and hauled it away which was part of the initial quote. Pro tip, do this before your installers show up so you can get in there with touch-up paint! I'm gonna have to reach over the cabinets now, so it'll be a bit more complicated. My own fault on that. The cabinets are gorgeous, with solid doors, a substantial workbench with nice rounded corners. The cabinet tops per the installers can hold up to around 150 lbs. not that I would put that to the test. I believe weight capacity for the actual cabinets is 75-100 lbs. per shelf. I'm not going to overload my shelves but it's good to know the limits. The shelves are adjustable with metal pegs too, so that's handy. The inside of the cabinets are white....so clean that it may feel weird to put anything 'dirty' inside, like paint cans. I put my old pegboard to use underneath paint cans to keep the cabinet interior clean. The cabinets are installed directly into the studs, so they 'float' off the floor about 6", which is great because they won't stress any fancy flooring one might have and it helps keeps bugs out (especially those pesky spiderwebs). Ryean is on-time, personable, and has great attention to detail. He printed out the 3D plans after about 30 minutes in the truck and when we ended up changing things he texted me the updates with measurements. Although I would prefer real images via email, this is still a highly efficient system. Ryean kept me in the loop about the job, as the install was about 3 weeks out from the initial consultation. We had a little confusion about the tool grid for the workbench. Somehow that got omitted from my order so Ryean knocked a bit off the final bill and I was happy with that. I'm gonna source some ProSlat from Amazon which is very reasonably-priced. Mistakes happen, but Ryean is ethical and made it right. All told, this company is great. Ryean is diligent and conscientious. The installers did a great job and everything looks beautiful and level. With these cabinets, my Tesla 'Dream Garage' is finally underway! 5 Stars, would recommend! read more

Had Ryean give me an estimate and booked the job about a month from the estimate date. He confirmed it. His bid was quite a bit higher than others but I thought I would get great customer service. The Friday before the job was to start I had not heard from him so I called and he called me on Saturday. He said they were very busy finishing other jobs but Monday was still the start date and they would be there at 11. I spent the weekend moving everything off the garage floor which was a lot of work. Monday at 11 comes around and no one is at my house. I call Ryean and he says he is so busy and its crazy and they should be there at 2 pm. His tone is edgy. Its after 2 and they are still not there. I then get a call from him and says they will be there at 3. The first part of the job they are scraping off the old floor and its noisy. He says he plans to work from 3 to 6. That does not sound right to me as I don't want to annoy my neighbors. Meanwhile, I have stayed home waiting for him and his crew to show up and Ryean does not apologize for that, he just keeps going on how crazy busy he is. I am not sure why this company has good reviews, they dropped the ball with my job and did not keep me informed nor did they care that I wasted a day waiting for them. If they were that busy, why not move my job or just be communicative. With this company I felt that I was working for them and I should be grateful that they were going to do the work.
