Manny is highly professional and will only do work that he believes will last. When he came to bid…read moreon my cracked 30 year old driveway, he recommended rebar every foot and a half put together in a grid, and then a thicker pour, especially since we wanted exposed aggregate. Because we had drainage problems, he was very careful to check the grading as well as pre-plan where we want the water to drain. He worked with my landscaper to plan the drains, the slopes, and where to put the curbs. When it was time to start, his crew was on time and efficient. He got the demolition done in one day, and then we had the utilities mark the lines the next day after the chunks were gone. The drains were put in next and then the grading and tamping down, followed by forms and finally rebar. The day of the pour was exciting and Manny's crew got here early. We lost count of the number of men working, but all was well coordinated with the cement trucks (4) and the workers doing the pour and spreading. Finishing is extremely important and I'm happy that the concrete was sloped correctly. They even made smooth lips around the planters so that water drained away from the dirt [bordering garage], and instead followed the planned path to the large drain at the far end that was then tunneled underneath the fence to the back drainage system. The aggregate turned out beautiful and they put in many more scores than the previous driveway had. As you can see, they put a nice pattern to the scores so that it wasn't just boring squares. Cleanup was also perfect, as well as timeliness. Whatever date Manny gave me was the date they kept. My neighbor saw his work and decided to work with him too, and I did get referred to him by another neighbor.

Sergio was the only one to come close to being reasonable. His crew tore down the old deck and built a very solid replacement. The Timbertech surface and aluminum railing looks great. I am the kind of person to poke around and ask a lot of questions, Sergio was on the site every day and patiently explained every part of the process. The only snafu was the cleanup at the end (not removing the broken up footers) but once I brought this to his attention it was quickly remedied. I have zero reservations about recommending Super Decks!

They ensured us it would match and they even took into account what part of the house got hit by the sun more than other parts - complete care :). Dean and Robert didn't just do great work. They earned my trust…read more My wife designed the layout and my engineer contributed specifications. What impressed me is that Dean and Robert took both and made them better, using their real knowledge of how concrete works. The control joints are placed right, they put in real drainage with actual drains and grading built throughout, and it looks clean and classy without being overdone. Flatwork around the entire house, driveway, front yard, backyard, both sides, fencing, gates. Did they get everything perfect on the first pass? Almost. What separates them is that when something was off, they owned it completely. No excuses, no pushback, just fixed. They paid attention to details that other contractors I quoted either missed entirely or only caught after I nudged them. Dean caught everything without me saying a word. Every day at the end of their shift they cleaned up and secured the site, even when it wasn't convenient. Robert ran a tight field operation and cared about every detail like his reputation depended on it. I have a young kid at home and that told me everything about who these guys are. I had my own engineer come out and review the work on-site. He looked around and said, unprompted, "You've got a great crew here." Engineers don't hand out compliments. That meant something. These guys come from commercial construction and brought that level of expertise to a residential job without going overkill. I actually spotted their truck at another client's property. Here's my honest take: if my mom needed this much work done and I couldn't be there to check in, I would still trust Dean to make sure she was taken care of. That's the highest thing I can say.

Five Stars for Vejars Design & Build!…read more Vejars Design & Build completely exceeded my expectations. We had sudden water damage from a broken shower valve inside the wall, and our homeowners insurance placed us in a hotel while repairs were underway. I had five different stucco companies come out to give me a bid for repair work around a window, and John was the only one who actually started from a place of curiosity, asking me questions about the issue. You can tell right away that he's a person of solid character who has also mastered his craft. He took the time to first understand my problem, and then he walked me through the solution with so much patience and clarity (never condescending, just genuinely helpful). Not only was his bid very competitive, but he even took the time to review a competitor's quote with me and pointed out exactly where I was being overcharged for work I didn't even need. He and his son, Garrison, are really solid people. Even though he's a stucco expert and not a leak detection specialist, he went well above and beyond by helping me troubleshoot with a water test to make sure we found the actual source of the leak. For the stucco work that was required, he handled the repairs beautifully. Just as importantly, John identified work that wasn't necessary. If you want someone good-natured, patient, and truly an expert who cares about the final result, call these guys.
