Aug 2025 I am writing this review to highly recommend Vejar's Design and Build for your next construction or renovation project ... you would not be disappointed! JC and his crew just finished 2 separate projects for me. One project was a remodel of a bathroom. They gutted the room, replacing the tub with a doorless walk-in shower. It involved moving plumbing, electrical, shower tile, flooring, fixtures and painting and was completed within a 2 week period. The design was exactly what I was looking for. The second project entailed removing and replacing all existing flooring in the house (1,800 sq. ft.), removing a wall, rerouting electrical for in-floor receptacles as well as a couple of new outlets that previously didn't exist, dry wall repairs, new baseboards and painting. It required moving all furnishings in a fully furnished home with minimal disruption to me while living there. Amazingly, once started, this project was completed in a little over a week. JC's team was amazing getting the project completed. Additionally, they accommodated some changes and additional work that I requested willingly. They cleaned up daily leaving the work area absolutely clean. I was familiar with JC's work from a kitchen remodel I did years ago as well as several remodels he has done for some of my neighbors. There was no hesitation on my part to hire JC for the 2 projects I wanted done. I did get multiple bids but as I anticipated, JC's was the most competitive and complete bid. On the remodel, my wife and I are super picky, and, like most projects, we end up fretting about every detail along the way. JC and his crew were spectacular in replacing our deck that I had built myself 15 years ago. Approx. 8' wide by 50' long. I had been ceramic tile but we replaced it with Trex. The demolition crew moved all plants and furniture to a patio location then proceeded to remove the deck, saving the railings that I made years ago for the replacement deck. JC's men were there promptly every morning and cleaned up most area before they left in the evening. The price was fair even with the few extras that had to be preformed that weren't visible until the demo. We couldn't be happier! We hired a friend of a friend to put up a pergola and the person was a disaster as far as the quality of work done and the speed in which he was doing it. I saw J.C.'s truck at a neighbor's house and asked about them and my neighbor said he tried several other people and finally went with Vejar Design who he was perfectly happy with. So we hired J.C and his crew to finish the pergola and they did a spot on job. They were also sympathetic about the money we ended up wasting on the other person and I was able to haggle a bit on their original quote. It took a month for the other person to get around to demolishing the old pergola and hauling it away. After seeing the shoddy work and the time the person was taking in attempting to put up the frame of the new pergola, I got rid of him. I spoke to JC when his brother (my plumber) referred me to him for a kitchen remodeling job in my house which involves removal of a cabinet to make room for countertop extension, the conversion of ceiling lights from fluorescent box to LED recessed lighting (ceiling drywall work included).
