Textured non skid Pool Surround (Mojave sand)
    Nick A.

Ryan and his team were excellent. They did a fantastic job on my pool surround and it looks beautiful. The team was very conscious of the demolition and the waste. They went to great lengths to manage overspray, application and final texture. The color is great and super pleased with the end result.

    Different crack

Very difficult to work with, project that was supposed to take 7 days took over a month to complete. Looked good for a year then the coping started cracking and pealing. I initially contacted them in October took a couple of months for a response. Not worth the wait, they say its not their fault but they could fix it for a cost. Of course no quote after 2 months to fix it. As a homeowner for over 40 years, this is the worst experience I have ever had with a contractor.

We hired Creekstone to do the floors throughout our house. While they initially looked great, soon the floors started to bubble and crumble. At one place we "dug a hole" down to the slab with just our fingers after a giant bubble burst. See attached photos. We were told by Ryan that bubbles are 'normal', but if so, why not warn us before we put in the floors? Who wants bubbles? Are they actually "normal"? An inspector we hired later has many comments on the work. You may see a reply here from Creekstone that this is normal or expected or due to this or that. If so, ask yourself why they would possibly recommend doing this sort of floor for any residence? If this is how it ends up.. WHY would they ever install this? As Ryan came to check it out (After many calls and attempts to get him here), he offered to fix it, but not for free. He would charge us more to fix it. So to me, that's not a fix at all, that is asking us to pay him to fix his mistakes. That's not a genuine offer to make things right, that seems more like an upsell to me. The paint Creekstone added comes off very easily. Rubber mats will pull it off. Or sometimes if you have something on the floor with rubber legs (say a heavy chair), it will just tear the paint right off. Of course where it bubbles, it will crack if you put any weight on it, plus it looks terrible. It flakes easily should you dare to drop anything on it. Attached are photos of bubbles, some that cracked and the very large one that sort of disintegrated our floor. It's also quite unpleasant to walk on barefoot, so much so that I now have to wear socks at all times. Maybe that's just me, but shouldn't a floor feel good too? Personally, I would not hire these guys again, ever, for anything. I am concerned that for such a large investment. I want companies that will support me when things go wrong, not upcharge me. I want a warranty that doesn't mean I have to pay to get the floor fixed when it starts falling apart. I encourage everyone to read the contract very very carefully if you move ahead, which of course is always good advice. I also recommend you ask about their bond, does it cover one incident or many? Perhaps inquire how many time the bond has been paid out? And you could ask to get added to their insurance policy, which means you can make claims directly to the insurance company.

Where do I start, a job very well done. We couldn't be happier with everyone on the team , from Ryan the owner to Christian the project manager to the team who worked on resurfacing the cement in our backyard. The professionalism, to the quality of product even the price was very reasonable! Looking forward to hire this company for my future project

Pool coping that is bubbling and cracking

Like several reviews on here, I had a miserable and costly experience with Creek Stone Resurfacing. I hired them in 2024 to resurface my pool coping. As you can see from the pictures the job failed and the coping has bubbled and is now peeling off. I have hired another company to rectify the situation. I tried for several months to get Ryan on the phone but he would always have someone call me back. I was not interested in his incompetent team do any repairs, I just wanted some money back. I would avoid doing business with this company. Their work is shoddy and they don't stand behind it.

Bubble that appeared less than a year after install.

Avoid this company: I hired Creek Stone Resurfacing (Ryan Van Horn) in July 2023 to install nearly 2,000 square feet of flooring throughout my home remodel for $15,000. Less than 2 years later, the floors have catastrophically failed, and Ryan refuses to honor his warranty. The job was finished on July 31, 2023. We followed all instructions for move-in, including protective covering for furniture placement. By early September 2023, we noticed bubbling and informed Ryan via text. Despite promising a visit, he never came, instead blaming "efflorescence" in the concrete without any inspection. From then on, the situation only worsened. We documented and reported: * A 4-foot bubble in the guest bedroom * An 8-inch raised blister in my son's room that cracked * Cracks and flaking in the living room * Deterioration in expansion joints * More failures under area rugs After many attempts to get a response, in May 2024 we informed Ryan that we would be reporting him to the CSLB. Only then did he finally show up - ten months after installation; only to again blame the unexposed concrete. He "offered" to fix it at our expense! We then hired an independent expert who concluded the cause was improper surface preparation or the wrong material. Despite this, Ryan has refused to take responsibility. In late 2024, Ryan texted that he was scheduling us for a repair in May 2025 - then never showed up. We continued to document spreading failures in March 2025, including: * New bubbling in one bedroom * Additional failure zones in yet another bedroom At this point, our floors are beyond repair, and we're facing a complete replacement within 18 months of the original install. This isn't just poor workmanship--it's a clear pattern of delays, excuses, and refusal to take responsibility. Don't be misled by the slick photos of freshly finished floors or the professional-sounding company name. Those pictures don't show what happens a few months later. If you value quality, accountability, and a floor that lasts, look elsewhere.

Wrong sheen going from living onto balcony. So obvious.

All we ask is a partial refund. We paid them $10,000. and asked for only $6000. Refund. No check yet after months of calling and writing to Ryan. We couldn't live with our beautiful vacation home as the floor was so awful. We finally ended up getting luxurious vinyl planks installed for $14,000. Obviously from a different company in the San Diego area. We are happy with the outcome finally after a year and a half. Because Ryan and his employees didn't level the floor in the first place. we had to pay to get that done!

    Post-install

I am in the process of working through some issues that came up after installation. I will update this review once the additional work has been completed.

Do not do business with this company. Pictures attached--terrible job. The floor has different sheens in places, and the floor is peeling all over, just like two other reviews posted here. I have been dealing with Ryan since 2022. I finally asked for half of the $10,000 I paid him, and he refused. He says he could redo "some" of the floor for a minimal cost. That is not satisfactory. He told me he would refund $2000 if I did not post a negative review. What kind of legitimate business would offer that?

Last year we had Creek Stone Resurfacing redo FirePit area with cement stain and sealer. Look at how it's bubbled. Reached out to owner. After one week he responded we now have new process. Whats your address again. Never heard back.

Creekstone was very easy to work with. Gerardo responded to my email the same day, and gave me a free estimate in less than 24 hours. I told Gerardo that I will move my office in the garage and he threw in an extra special coat to make it easier for me to roll the office chair around. They finished the project within a day as promised, and followed up with me the next day to make sure I was satisfied with my amazing garage floor! Their price is very competitive and their work ethics make them stand above the other floor resurfacing companies.

Ryan and Jack did an excellent work resurrecting and resurfacing our concrete patio, pool deck and driveway. Prior to contracting Creekstone we asked for several quotes to restore our patio and we where told that we needed to remove all the concrete and replace with new concrete and/or pavers which we could not afford as the cost where astronomical! I was lucky enough to to ask Ryan at Creekstone to come and give me an honest opinion of the work he could perform to salvage my 4,500 sq FT concrete deck. My concrete was in bad shape (see before and after pics). He explained the process of removing the old stain and sealer using a water sand blasting process and the application of two layers of an urethane industrial sealer. The quotation was very fair for the size of the job. I decided to contract with them and Ryan and Jack both meticulously sandblasted the top concrete coat and applied a beautiful finish restoring it like new. Very professional service, attitude and work ethics. All in all a great experience. I fully recommend Creekstone for any concrete resurfacing needs. Here are some before and after pics of the work done. Excellent company to work with!

    Before Room 1

Creekstone Resurfacing renewed my trust in hiring complete strangers to provide high quality craftsmanship. It is always daunting when beginning the search for a contractor to work on your home. Creekstone was responsive and went above and beyond to accommodate my tight schedule. During the consultation, Ryan took time to listen to my vision, provided practical solutions to challenging aspects of the job, all while considering my budgetary constraints. Once the agreement was made, both Ryan and Jack were timely, professional, and organized. I imagine some contractors rush or take shortcuts to finish quickly, but not Creekstone. Creekstone was extremely thorough and detail oriented all while maintaining time efficiency. If you are looking for professional timely and quality concrete work, look no further than Creekstone Resurfacing. -Benjamin Baize

Let me preface this with some background - I bought a house a few years ago and I started noticing uneven floors in the kitchen. This was probably due to the original installers installing the island on top of the flooring, and not having enough space in btwn the flooring to breathe / bad installation. While looking for quotes, we did a lot of research beforehand so we could be prepared and understand what needed to be done so we wouldn't be upcharged. When we met Scott he was very friendly, knowledgeable with all of our questions, and eager to work with us. I feel like not a lot of contractors were as helpful and took us seriously so we were really excited to work with Scott. His prices were fair and we really appreciated him being flexible and working with our budget too. Fast forward to the installation, everything was great and the floors turned out beautiful! Abraham and his team were very professional, kind, and if we had any issues they were quick and open to fixing them. They were always on time and the flooring installation was pretty quick and painless (just be mindful that with this type of work the house will get dusty so be prepared to clean afterwards). They did the self leveling, added moisture barrier and installed our floors. We also asked them to redo our stairs / baseboards too so everything would match. Our stairs had some exposed edges that made it kind of difficult to rework and Abraham was able to figure out a nice way to make them look nice. A year later, we had a pipe leak / foundation issues and we reached out to Scott again to help provide a quote for our insurance since they were damaged. Scott was always one phone call away whenever we needed him to answer questions or stop by to provide quotes. We ended up working with him one more time because we trusted his team to redo our floors. Due to the nature of these unfortunate events, there were a lot of issues going back and forth with insurance, other contractors, and Scott was probably the most consistent one who we knew was on our side. He was always helpful, provided sound advice, and was just a great person to work with. I truly felt like he had our best interest and was working to help us fix our issues instead of just being a salesman and getting the most he could from us. He was helping us without a guarantee we would work with him because of all the insurance obstacles. It's really difficult to find people like that and I'm truly grateful for Scott and his team! The new floors turned out great! Since we only fixed part of our floors, I just want to mention that our original floors still look great no issues with them so far after a year!
