The general expectations for install were never communicated to us, we have never replaced flooring and didn't know they would be demoing the entire house and then installing, requiring us to vacate the home. The job took much longer than originally stated. 3. Quality of baseboards that they replaced was much lower than what we originally had installed. 4. The overall quality of the install was poor. It was clear they had no idea how to work with this newer product. Especially when it came to the stairs which they redid and it's still not right. 5. Photos included of messy filler/caulking, install spaces between joints and large spaces next to walls, creaky steps (multiple). I waited one year to review as the sales person said that "of course the steps will creak when they are new but when they settle in it won't". I feel like they are "settled" now but they still creak like crazy. They weren't the cheapest quote we got, we thought we were getting quality install and were ok with paying more but that was not the case.

Pros Most of the new grout and caulk was completed…read more Cons He said he'd do phase 1 one day and phase 2 (waterproofing) a few days later. He left in the middle of day one. Finished phase 1 the next day. Then when he said phase 2 was done, he missed a portion of the caulk and needed to come back a fourth day. Three of those days I changed my work schedule for his schedule. I had to finish the caulking job myself because he said his quote didn't include some basic areas of mold. Once I bought the clear caulk, I finished the job myself in about 30 minutes. Pretty basic for a professional but he didn't seem super interested in making sure I was satisfied.

It wasn't the cheapest quote, but this is certainly a situation where you get what you pay for! Flooring is not the area where you want to cut corners. I've always heard that you shouldn't be cheap with anything that goes between you and the ground (e.g., shoes, bed, car etc.) The tiler in particular was incredibly meticulous and made sure every detail was spot on. He made sure the floor was perfectly level and worked efficiently and quickly but didn't take any shortcuts. The carpet guys were similarly professional and everyone was helpful and happy to answer any questions I had about the process. I'm usually a very picky person and they literally gave me nothing to complain about! I would hire them again in a heartbeat and out of all the contractors I've worked with they are easily among the best. (My other favorites being Jeff Green Plumbing, Pedro Sanchez Electric, and SunLine Energy solar/roof)
