I contacted them through their web page and within 30 seconds of putting in the online work request, someone called me to get more info. That was very impressive!!! They explained that there was no free estimate but if they come, their crew is ready to get the job done starting that day. Ok, so I signed up. Everything was done online with the paperwork. Lupe, who handled the paperwork, was very responsive to my inquiries. I felt taken care of by her. Cuz roofing (!!), not a stress-free thing to deal with. So the "crew" came and I was surprised it was one person. I was caught by surprised and expressed my surprise. Luis, the roofer, was very understanding, and called his boss. Brian called right away and explained that the contract stated the crew could be 1 person. Oh! Ok. This meant it could take a little longer and cost me a bit more money. But per my brother, this place charged fairly so I proceeded. Luis was so hard working! He worked all day long on the roof. He answered all my questions. The roof was repaired in 2 days and priced less than another quote I got. A week later, a painting contractor came and pointed out a corner of the roof looking exposed. I know Luis did me right but I had to perform my due diligence. I sent the company an email and very quickly, Brian wrote back explaining what was done and sent me pictures. I'd like to forget about these guys, but they keep sending me mailers. I made the mistake of not thoroughly vetting these guys when I needed quick repairs during 2019 winter's heavy rains. It didn't rain until the next (19/20) winter. None of their repairs held up, and they pretty much shrugged their shoulders when I called them. It seems like this company subcontracts their work. While no one wants to get a roof, if you need to this is the only company to select. I replaced my concrete tile roof with composite shingles and it looks amazing. It improved the look of my house. The team was fast and efficient. On the first day after removing the old roof, they stayed late to make sure the roof was waterproof before leaving. They cleaned each day and did a major cleanup on the last day. We also had them install a SolarTube. The inside looks just as good as the outside. For over 30 years my house was like an oven in the summer. I had the largest top of the line AC but I was lucky if I could get my home cooler than 85 degrees in the summer even with the AC running all day on high speed. I had a hot mop flat roof, no attic, no insulation. A friend recommended Premium Roof Services in San Diego when I went to replace my roof. When Peter came out, he was very thorough in his inspection, recommendations and answered all my questions. Their estimate included a superior PVC coating with 1 1/2 "insulation and a 20-year NDL warranty with consequential damages from IB roof systems, the PVC manufacturer. The entire staff, workers, and Jose, my project manager, were wonderful throughout the process. After the roof was completed, the manufacturer came out and did an inspection before issuing their warranty. My roofer got 100%. I am completely thrilled with the results. Now, if it is 100 degrees outside my house without the AC on, the temperature will only get up to 82 degrees even with leaving the curtains open. If I set the AC to 78, it will get there in an hour and stay there with the AC running at low speed or not at all. It was our first time having to replace our roof, but it was overdue. We had a lot of wood damage and Premium Roof Services was up front about that. We didn't really have any surprises, so that was nice. I think prices initially surprised me, but I think wood/construction have just gone up tremendously with the tariffs, etc. Of the three bids I got from top companies, all using the same Owen's Corning products and warranties, they gave me the best bid by about $2k. The guys were there at around 7am every morning and left around 3pm (heat of the day), and finished in 3-4 days. They cleaned up after themselves each day and even swept our property the last day. We did still find a lot of nails and screws in the dirt and grass, but we expected as much. The ladies in the office were so helpful and kind. They followed up with every question and request, or connected me with the right person on site. They made this process much less stressful (it is about the biggest maintenance cost on your home, so it's stressful), and I appreciated that. I have nothing negative to say, I highly recommend them! Updated: See below response from owner. I still recommend avoiding at all cost. This is exactly the type of service you get from this company. Don't be fooled. If you have a problem, they can't be trusted. Their handshake means nothing. They try to make it your problem when it is 100% theirs. And just a note, their insurance company is located in another state...they never came to inspect. Just sent us an email asking us to defend our case. Interesting it never flooded before they installed the gutters, nor after the temp fix (and we have had a ton of rain after). They also told us that they do not take into consideration the grade when installing gutters. But now they do? I trusted them to know what they were doing when installing the gutters. We never had gutters at that location previously, they recommended them, but they shouldn't have installed them the way they did that causes them to drain straight into the house. The fix has nothing to do with the slight grade that has been there since the house was built ~50 years ago...the issue is that a downspout was installed where it shouldn't be as it doesn't move the water away from the house, but into it. Previous post: Avoid at all cost! Premium Roof Services installed a new roof and gutters on my mom's home. The gutter install was not done correctly which resulted in flooding of my mom's home...everyone who worked at this company that came out to inspect the situation agreed it was due to the gutter downspout not being installed right. With more rain expected, they rigged pipes to move the water from the gutters away from the house...and what do you know, no more flooding. We thought this would be quickly and amicably resolved...but Peter (owner) is now NOT taking ownership of the situation (note he has never even been out to assess the work). Disappointed by lack of professionalism and not taking responsibility that is 100% their fault. In the meantime, my mom has unfinished work with long pipes running along the side of her house as a "temporary" fix, which is a safety issue for many reasons. I needed vents installed on my roof, and in order to not void my warranty, only Premium could install the vents. The cost of the job was $500. It took 5 months to get them to come out to do the work. I first contacted them to do the work in Sept. 2019. I made three phone calls to their office Sept. - Oct., to which I received no reply. In Nov., I emailed. On Nov. 26, the owner, Peter Codallos, said that they would schedule an appointment. They did not. After more than 6 follow-up phone calls and more than a dozen emails from me, and one no-show appointment in Jan., the work wasn't finally scheduled until Feb. 14 and wasn't performed until Feb. 17. But guess how long it took Premium to send me a bill? One day! Guess when they said the payment was due? Within 7 days! When I called him out, the owner, Codallos, did not accept responsibility for the untimeliness. Instead, he condescended and made excuses. read more

I scheduled a site visit for roof estimate over 2 weeks ahead of time, adjusted my work schedule and waited patiently for the site visit only to be called 10 minutes before scheduled arrival and told they would not be coming due to rain. Although I understand the need to cancel due to rain, there was no advanced warning about a potential to cancel due to forecasted weather and respect for my schedule, there was no attempt to make a same week reschedule and instead they wanted to push me back another week which seems unprofessional and inconsiderate. I offered to send a full roof report showing size, slopes, number of eaves and all relevant info to make a informed estimate and was told that it was up to an estimator if they wanted to do that and that it may take a while to hear back about it. Considering this company was one of only 3 companies that is a certified Duro-Last roofing installer and that is the specific product I want, this was a very important appointment that I adjusted my schedule for. For someone who scheduled well ahead of time, adjusted their schedule to accommodate the visit yet wasn't informed till 10 minutes before about the cancellation I am definitely frustrated and disappointed in the lack of effort to notify me ahead of time or reschedule me in the same week. Premium Roof Services is a great business to deal with and they do excellent work. In 2018 they installed an IB roof on my 1952 Ranch house that has a low rise roof. They also installed an insulation layer underneath it. In 2023, after my bathroom was remodeled requiring replacement air vent pipes that go through the roof, they quickly scheduled and came out and sealed the roof around the new pipes. I highly recommend them as well as the white IB roof they installed. It keeps my house much cooler in the summer requiring less air conditioning use and provides more comfort. They are not cheap but worth every penny. read more

This is an update to an earlier review from August this year. We had our roof installed and had a 5-Star experience throughout the entire process. We have to mention our experience after the rainy weather we have had recently. We noticed a slow leak coming down from a large exposed beam in our bedroom the day after the rain came. We called our salesperson Gaston, who apologized for our experience and connected us with his office and the operations team. We had Aaron and Christian on-site the same day, which was amazing. The team was on the roof and within 15 minutes found the issue: one nail struck another, and created the opening for a small leak. This was not something visible from the "outside," but Aaron was able to fix it and everything is sealed up. We had another rain event since then, and we are clean and dry! Twenty years ago, I had Premium Roof Services replace my roof. That involved removing a hot water solar panel and associated piping and reinstalling the panel after the roofing was completed. The recent rain identified a leak in my roof where the solar hot water panel piping went through the roof. I called Premium roof services to come out and evaluate the problem. My wife and I recently purchased a historic home/compound in San Diego County that required extensive repair and reroofing of the 6 buildings on the compound. After a thorough vetting of possible roofing companies, we opted to engage Premium Roof Services for our job. In our selection, we required workers compensation, appropriate permits, a good rating with BBB, YELP and that appropriate licensing, and good business standing was in place. We also appreciated their having experience with historic and unusual homes. Premium Roof Services easily met these requirements. Premium's inspection of the property and quote for the required tasks were very thorough, and demonstrated a clear understanding of the needs, complications, and provided solutions to existing design defects that had been left unchecked for decades. Upon arrival on the job site, Premium's crew demonstrated respect for the property, performed their jobs without fault, and quite frankly were a pleasure to deal with. The job had many unusual problems that their crew was able to address in a rapid fashion. Change Orders that were issued were appropriate and quite reasonable given the various unforseen tasks. We have no complaints at our end, and there was no hesitation on their end in ensuring the job was performed to our satisfaction. Our job required just under a month to complete the 6 structures, and quite frankly, I was impressed they could complete everything in such a short period of time. I reached out to Premium Roof Services to get a roof repair estimate and got a call back from Isaiah Macias. He told me that someone would contact me to provide me an inspection and estimate. Sure enough, I received a call from Gaston Amaro who scheduled an appointment to make the inspection and estimate. Out of all the roofing companies that I scheduled with and who actually showed up, Premium Roof Services was the only one who went up to assess and inspect the roof. All the other contractors were offering full roof replacement and could not be bothered with minor repairs. Mr Gaston Amaro was honest enough to tell me that I do not need a roof replacement at this time. He sent me pictures of of the roof explaining why I did not need them replaced at the time and only recommended resealing of the pipes I have on the roof as maintenance. This is a busy time for roofing contractors right now but, Jose gave me a call and was able to send roofers to make the proper maintenance. Rachelle does a great job as office manager leading the direction for Tony (co-owner) to come out and give estimates on our two roofs. One was shake shingle on its last legs and the other was an issue with the flashing around the chimney and water intrusion. Repairs to our old shake shingle roof went quite well and extra materials were used to finish that job at no cost. Repairs to our flashing that surrounds the chimney on another home was needed because of water intrusion into the attic. Repairs were also done to the ventilation pipes sealing them to the roof surface. No charge for repainting the pipes. They even went out and matched the paint so the wood crown on the chimney would look great again. I am glad that this was something we decided to do. Tony was very professional from the pre-inspection phase all the way to the post-inspection phase. He did a fine job explaining where my problems were, how they were going to fix them, and followed up to make sure the job was done correctly. I needed my tiles removed, underlayment placed, and some new plywood installed. My roof looks immaculate and I am confident that it will last a lifetime. This company did a very good job on a small workshop I had built for my bikes. The roof was flat so they used this white membrane material that was heat sealed on the roof. So far so good. The material has a lifetime warranty. The were booked several months out but did this smaller job for me within a week. Cost was more than others but they seemed more organized and professional. I have mixed feelings about this company. They are responsive enough when you call, especially in the beginning. My problem is with the actual crew. They showed up unannounced, which was an annoyance, but I figured it was a miscommunication, so I got over it. I got a new roof that, so far, has withstood several pretty bad storms. However, it took forever them to complete the work. Mainly because they either showed up late or knocked off early. These guys were great. I called to get a quote, I was in the middle of escrow so they couldn't go to the property so I sent in pictures of the roof tiles that needed replacement. They were able to give me a quote based off the pictures (aerial shots from a drone that I received from our home inspection) and schedule for service within a few days of the quote.
