I wish I could give a better review because the people I worked with were professional and courteous. However, the work they were hired to do never got done properly. I had a leak they they tried to fix 4 times. Unfortunately, they were never able to fix the problem. The rains that we just had confirmed that leak was still there proving the 4th attempt was unsuccessful. Now I still have a leak in my roof and I am out $4000.00. I added some pictures of the work they did. After the first repair failed they sent the guys back who randomly put patches and roof mastic on where they though the water may be getting through. That didn't fix the problem so they sent another crew out and the roof leaked they were done as well. read more

Unfortunately I had a very unpleasant experience with this company, not sure if it's the management or this employee but the service felt like I was being tricked. It started off well, received a quote but when I met with this man, Alfredo, he started adding other things onto what was quoted before and changing the price after the service started. Felt like I was going in circles trying to get ahold of anyone. I decided to discontinue service with them and go another route because of how unorganized and unprofessional they are. This is my second time using Sully Jones. They did repair work for me 10 years ago. Now once again I have had a very good experience with them. Carlos, the estimator, was very professional and courteous. He went directly to my roof, took pictures and showed me the areas that needed repair and maintenance work. I called Sully-Jones for a commercial roofing quote. I met their estimator, Chris Sawaya at my property and spend a good 45 minutes letting him on to roofs and discussing options. It was a Tuesday and he said he'd have a quote for me by the end of the week. The following Monday I followed up with him. He said he had a lot on his desk, but that he would have the quote to me in 2 more days. Another week went by and I followed up with him again. He said he was still behind but would have it to me shortly. A few days later, I contacted him and told him to just forget about it. I understand some companies are really busy. some don't need new business and sometimes life just gets in the way. What upsets me is when a company doesn't show any respect for my time. To make me get permission to enter from my tenants and take a morning off to let you guy onto the roofs of my property. Then to string me along for weeks and never even generate a quote? Very disappointing and a statement of how Sully-Jones views its customers. read more

Steve J, Project Manager, came out ot my home at my request to give me a price on a roof repair. My home's roof is 41 years old and is heavy wood shake shingles. On the phone Steve doubted a repair job would suffice but he agreed to come look and tell me my options. Once he checked things out he agreed the roof was very well maintained and need only repairs not replacement. Instead of trying to sell me on a new roof he got on the phone of his own volition and called a repair guy he knows in the area who does this stuff. Steve stood by as the guy on the phone answered my questions and after tha phone call Steve explained what he knew of their process. Steve was classy and professional. We had a leak showing up in the ceiling in the bathroom. The drywall ceiling was wet in a 6" spot. We had Sully-Jones come out to discover what exactly where the water was coming from. We thought it might be the roof. After much investigating of the roof itself some other necessary roofing repairs were found and made in various locations. The drywall ceiling had dried and was repaired. Another rainstorm and the spot is wet again. Called Sully-Jones back and Kyle came to investigate. Checked out the roof and went into the attic and could see there is a pipe over that area. He diagnosed it might be a plumbing leak. We wait to see if the spot dries again. It does not. We then asked Kyle back to open up the spot taking out the drywall, insulation, and water is dripping down, insulation is moldy and taking off the sponge wrapping around the pipe shows a damaged pipe. Thank you Kyle so much for taking the time to help us discover the actual problem. Obviously not a roofing problem but he stayed and investigated to help us solve the mystery. read more

I called up Sully-Jones for a leak I was having in my rental property's living room. He said he'd come right out and look at it. He got right at it and left a message that the leak is coming from the flashing from the window and that he is 'backing away' from the job and suggested that I see a general contractor. Fine enough I appreciate is honesty but I called back and left a message asking if he had any recommendations for a Contractor and I never heard back from him. Very odd, honest evaluation but no call back once he 'backed out' so i have to take away a star but I think I would use him for roof repairs. read more

I have known for a few years that a new roof was inevitable but was putting it off. I received a letter in the mail stating that Sully - Jones did my roof 15 years ago so I gave them a call and made an appointment to get an estimate. Steve met me at the house, we went up on the roof together and he explained everything to me and answered all of my questions and concerns in terms that I could understand. I decided to go with them because they are a time honored company, they did my roof before and did a great job and I felt confident this time around as well. They are accountable (I find this quality to be a rare one) - met appointment times, installed the new roof when they said they would, in the time frame that they promised, worked efficiently and quietly , respected the space and returned everything exactly the way they found it. She promptly called me back and when we ran into a little snag instead of dropping me as a customer (I had already paid the invoice) she had someone come out to the house to do an extra repair on the eaves. Don't expect to hear back from Sully Jones with an estimate. In mid February we, per the recommendation of our painter, contacted Kim (office manager is my understanding) of Sully Jones for a estimate on beam replacement required before painting. At that time, she told us that due to the extensive rain we were experiencing, it would take three to four weeks to get back to us and provide an estimate. Sounded reasonable, so far so good. No word through February and then all of March. I called the office on April 1st and was told the estimator was given the assignment February 15th; and that the office would "light a fire under him" Sure enough, the next day Ronnie showed up, was walked around the property and said he would get the estimate to us by email. As of this morning (April 11th), still no estimate; so called the office early in the morning and left a message for Kim. No call from her. We had a timeline and a deadline for this project which, thanks to Sully Jones, is impossible to achieve. Tomorrow I will be calling our painter to give him the sad news that our project can not proceed at this time and he may want to have a word with Sully Jones. read more

I had my roof done by Sully-Jones, I had not had this bad of a experience before. Job was done with the cheapest quality material . Their warranty is just a trap. they dont cover any damage due to the leakage which is totally nu-acceptable. My roof was done on 2007 with 15 years of warranty.The sealing started leaking when i called them for the warranty the only offered me a patch repair, which is mostly a temporary until the warranty is expires. This is about their professionalism, more than their work. They're replacing the roof on the small apartment complex where I live. Return from dinner on a Saturday night to find the crew stomping and hammering LOUDLY on the roof at 8 p.m. It seems they finally paid attention to the weather forecast that has been saying all week that there was a chance of rain on Saturday, and they understandably wanted to cover the roof. What is not understandable is why they did not cover the roof the day before when they left for the day, or even Saturday during the daytime. Moreover, they stomped and hammered for nearly an hour, so I finally went outside and asked when they would be done, considering they were not supposed to be there on the weekend, and they should have done this well before. Two separate employees proceeded to try to brush me off with, "Soon." That answer was unacceptable at nearly 9 p.m. on a weekend when they were shaking the entire building, so I refused to leave until they finally said, "twenty more minutes." They finally finished and left, much to my relief, along with several other tenants' relief. That is not how you treat people, especially when you're in the wrong. read more

It is like pulling teeth when it comes to getting an accurate quote from Sully-Jones Roofing. On 6/19/19, an estimator came out to my property. I received a quote on 6/24/19. The quote did not state several issues that I know need to be repaired. I notified the estimator with my questions/concerns and asked for an updated quote 6/24/19. Well, today is 7/2/19 and I have yet to even hear back from him. If you have lack of communication on preparing a quote, what makes you think I can trust you with the repairs of my roof. Sully-Jones and Benton were the only two roofing contractors (out of about six that I contacted) who told us the truth about our roof. All the others told us it needed urgent replacement. Steve from Sully Jones told me that my roof was old and in need of replacement, but basically intact, and - since there were no leaks - recommended waiting a year to replace it. Fast forward several months, to when a freak windstorm blew off a few shingles, I called Sully-Jones and Benton to give me an estimates for the repair. Unfortunately, somehow things really fell between the cracks on their end, and after speaking to the very nice woman who took my details, I didn't hear back from anyone until a couple weeks later, by which time I had already started things moving with Benton. It must be said that this was a tiny repair job, on a roof that wasn't actually leaking, during a peak busy time for roofers. But, it'd be nice to have more confidence in their internal communication and tracking. When my roof needs replacement next year, I'll definitely give Sully-Jones an opportunity to bid the work. read more
