Very pleased with our Enphase Solar System installed by Sunlight. James was awesome came out to give us a estimate looked overall pass bills and gave us a quote. We then wanted to revise the quote and add the backup battery storage. James, want to make sure we can get it done before the end of the year so that we wouldn't lose the tax credit. He was great helping us find funding. Our system has been installed now for about 5 months now. After the system was installed, James even came back to the house to show us how to use the app. I'm on the app daily checking what we're producing and sending back to SDGE. My past couple of bills are actually starting to show credits and my payment is waaayyy less then what we were paying. I would recommend Sunlight to anyone. read more

I have been trying for almost 2 months for them to come fix my solar and they just blow me off and don't return my calls

SunLies is now denying warranty because I had a third-party (tesla certified installer) install an expansion pack on my system. There is liteterally a federal law that says using a third-party installer does not void a warranty, unless the original installer/manufacturer can prove that the third part directly caused the warranty issue. Their warranty tech said that the expansion was not installed correctly as the exisiting breaker for the PW3 should have been upsized; what a crock of shit since the expansion pack does not increase the peak load on the circuit rather it only doubles the stored power available. The system had been working normally for almost 2 months and then has randomly disabled DC inputs; most likely an electronics issue with the PW3. Sunlight will lie and deny at any cost. The worst part is that they initially installed conduit incorrectly. Then tried to refuse to come fix it even though I had pointed out the problem during the install. Then when they fixed the conduit they took my system offline becasue the wired it incorrectly. Then when they fixed the wiring issue they didn't install the main panel cover correctly and the cover interfers with the breakers. They do subpar work and then make up things about the work done by others to try and void your warranty. What a sleezeball company - avoid at any cost!!! Guess they are willing to roll the dice with a law suit on voiding the warranty! read more

We had our roof & Solar installed Oct 2023 by this company, it was not cheap, had to take a loan to pay for, still paying. We already have had issues with the roof & had to request from the company another roofer (not initial roofer) come out May 2024. The roofer did admit to some issues and he fixed what he could, he was really good. I want to be sure this does not affect our solar either. However, since May he was supposed to come back for follow up & he never did. The company however does not respond or reply so he can follow up and their is no live operator when you call them, goes straight to voicemail. Horrific customer service. So disappointed read more

Was contacted by three different people to confirm my appointment after I already confirmed on the phone with two different people. I let the scheduler know up front my husband may not be there and that it would be difficult to get an appt with both of us due to our schedule. I got texts from different people including the owner and informed them he would likely not be present. No one ever told me the appointment was canceled. Made myself available and they didn't not show up or do a me a courtesy to tell me it was canceled. I've never heard of a company that requires both parties be present it's actually quite ridiculous and unrealistic. I've spoken to several contractors without my husband present and vice versa without issues. Consider changing this policy and improve your communication style. They were responsive, timely, and efficient; they installed the solar panels as designed. They also followed up with us to network and link our system to a monitoring and reporting system. Their follow-up was a great feature. We just had our one-year true-up with SDGE. We produced slightly more energy than we used for the year, resulting in minimum fees and a high rate of return on our investment.
