David H. After reading your response to my recent review I feel maybe I can shed some light on the frustration of the consumer here. I am an experienced business owner myself. I had a retail business for many years. I would never have let my customer alone to deal with the inefficiency that my husband and I experienced. At some point your company should have stepped up to make sure that this situation was resolved in a timely manner. That was not done! If you have a customer who makes multiple calls, inquiries to a situation that I would deem unsafe at the very least. Then you should have a protocol in place for this kind of situation. I understand you are relaying the responsibility to the manufacturer (Simonton) but that doesn't mean you drop the ball on follow-up. I paid you for the windows and the installation some $10,000 I should not have to track down some customer service representative who completely failed us. I arranged for Window Solutions to provide me with a cost estimate for replacing an Anderson window. The salesperson informed me that it would be a straightforward replacement and quoted me a price of $5-$7k. I also asked for a quote on four additional Anderson windows. However, when I received the quote, the main window that I had requested wasn't included. To make matters worse, I was told by the receptionist that they do not stock Anderson windows and would replace them with a different brand. I am frustrated that I was given one set of information and then offered something else entirely. Needless to say, I will not be replacing my windows with Window Solutions. read more

Thanks to the yelp reviews I got a quote from this company and one other highly rated company. I'm so glad that I went with Window Solutions as the other company's measurements were almost an inch different which would have resulted in even further delays. Two weeks ago our patio umbrella took off like Mary Poppins and hurled itself into two large windows shattering the double panes. Not timely with the heat at over 95 degrees and shattering onto tile that caused the glass to disperse everywhere. The glass has to be ordered and when your business is successful install times can get backed up. I explained that this was a significant issue as the shattered window was in our main living area and it really was a safety concern as we relied on duct tape to prevent further glass breakage in the house. They expedited the order delivery and install based on my pleas for help. The two gentleman who installed the windows did a fantastic job. I hope I don't have any issues like this again, but will not hesitate to contact them for glass or window replacement. read more

I would definitely recommend Window Solutions to my family and friends. They were referred to me by my brother-in-law who had every window and door replaced at his house by Window Solutions. I only needed to replace a sliding glass door and a large picture window with a bee bee hole in it (thanks to my boys). They sent out Jessie and Mohammad to take care of it for me. Both guys were super nice, super professional and super tidy. They laid down drop cloths everywhere before starting. They were very careful around our furniture and belongings and cleaned up impeccably after the work was finished. Jessie even installed a new handle on my other sliding glass door and serviced the it to get it working great again. I'm extremely pleased with the quality of work completed as well as the price and customer service. You can't go wrong with Window Solutions. I'm in El Cajon btw. Not San Francisco. When the CEO of Window Solutions promises uncompromising customer service, don't believe it!! This company has terrible, terrible, terrible customer service. Let me give you just a few examples of how Window Solutions let me down... First, after assessing my home, the sales associate promised me a quote by the next business day. I waited over a week and then tried to phone her several times. She finally answered my call 2 weeks later. The bid was fair so I decided to go with Window Solutions. However, the price increased by $500 after I agreed to the terms - something about "proper disposal of product." When it came to my actual install date, the installer informed me one of my windows had not arrived. The sales associate failed to mention this to me when we established an install date. Now I have to waste yet another day for them to finish the job. Again, my sales associate wasn't reachable by phone, so I had to continue phoning her until she decided to pick up. Lastly, my house was left an absolute mess after my install. Nothing was put back in its original spot and the paint in my bathroom was scratched in numerous places. Ironically, I had several upstairs windows replaced because they were faulty, but when WS replaced the windows, they failed to clean the outside of them. Since the windows are on the second floor, I can't easily clean them myself. Do yourself a favor and get your windows elsewhere!! read more

I'm surprised these guys have such high reviews. We have a coupon for 20% off a shower door for a seamless shower enclosure, and reached out to these guys, hoping their quote would be reasonable enough to accept their bid. Took 3 days to hear back and they said they would send us an estimate via e-mail after they had my husband "eyeball the measurements." Yes I know we live in Escondido, but you're not even willing to drive to give an estimate? Strike 1 - then don't list North County as an area you serve. We were told we'd get our estimate the following day, and it's been several days at this point. Strike 2. Although they are BBB Accredited, 2 of their three complaints are from the last year and both were from "products/service." Strike 3. And to think - we didn't even tell them we had a coupon out of fear of less-than-stellar service. Run for the hills! read more

These guys were awesome. We received a grant to replace some windows which was somewhat challenging to do. They handled almost all the paperwork on the back end to finalize our grant. The guy that came to install the windows was extremely helpful. I got stuck at work the day of the install and left it to my pregnant wife to handle moving everything and deal with the logistics. The guy went above and beyond to help and make it easier on my wife. Windows turned out perfect. Customer service as overall top notch. Will use this company again for sure. read more

Window Solutions was competitive in price and when we researched the Simonton Windows, they had a good reputation for quality. We decided to go with the vinyl replacement windows. The windows and a huge patio slider door were installed in record time and the guys were courteous and cleaned everything up after the install. A few weeks later when I opened the windows, I noticed a few screens had small tears in them. I contacted Window Solutions who contacted the manufacturer and they sent replacement screens to my house free of charge. How awesome is that? I also had Window Solutions install a glass shower enclosure and they did a great job with that project as well. Courteous installation, clean up was great and I highly recommend them. This is the second time my church contracted Window Solutions to do work on our property. I myself have run Air conditioning crews on jobs in Florida, so I know what I'm talking about. The first time the did everything to the letter, and that's why we had a second contract filled by them. This time rain was predicted for the last day of their planned 3 days of work. Not one mistake in the planning and execution of the job. More than 30 windows on each job, and all done professionally. To top it off the guys were curtious and left the place cleaner the when they got here. If needed we would go with them again no problem. As a local home remodeler, we need windows, sliding doors, and french doors on most every property we flip. For anyone local to the El Cajon area, no doubt they know the building that Window Solutions is in because of the giant words on the building, that you can see a mile away on hwy 8, that say something like "WINDOWS and DOORS". That building has had those logos since the 1980's...and this is the same family business that now has a different name, but same family owning it and working there daily as the second and third generation. That's pretty cool to see a family business and family trade still going strong after so many decades. As for their work and their products...many companies sell the same brands these days, and pricing is usually pretty close when getting bids...on one certain window, one company is a few bucks cheaper...on a different window, a different company is cheaper. Really, when you are shopping around for this kind of stuff, you will find it all pretty much averages out and you end up spending more on gas and time than you save by driving all over to check pricing. What it ends up coming down to is ability to get product and install it cleanly with good service. We have now flipped over 15 homes using Window Solutions for windows and doors and because they can get us what we need at a competitive price, and we get great service along the way, they are now the only call we make. Most recently we were up against a tough deadline on a flip home and didn't have a full crew to do the prep-work or finish-work when we had 4 windows on a second story enlarged. They agreed to come in and do the cut-out, the reframing on what turned out to be a nightmare woodrot section of wall, install the new windows, then handle the finishwork including the stucco matching around the windows. It was a massive job and as I was able to check in a bunch of times over the 2 days they needed to complete the job (that had 8 other retrofit windows plus a pair of doors), I found them to be doing the work as I would want it...that says a ton as I am pretty particular on my work, where I go far and above most people that flip homes. Like EVERY window business we have ever dealt with, sometimes the manufacturer sends them something that doesn't fit the specs or has a defect. That kind of thing is NOT the fault of Window Solutions, but every now and then there can be a small delay while they get things corrected. In hundreds of windows done by them for us, we've had 2 go-backs and both were caught immediately, so delays were minimal. Again, that's a manufacturer's issue and Window Solutions has always been great in getting that handled. I guess it's hard to say much more of anything. When pricing is pretty much a toss up, service is key. On that end, Window Solutions is our preferred window and door company. read more

I had a great experience with Window Solutions. They gave me a competitive price, were able to help inform me on the options, and delivered as promised, on time, on budget with no hiccups. Our work including making two of our windows smaller - they were able to advise on impacts, suggest alternatives, and really worked with us to make the best choices. They then delivered on those choices. I was told by a general contractor that going through any window service (rather than a spendy GC) would result in schedule slips, constant change orders and other headaches. But I had quite the reverse. In fact, when I did need to make a change due to fire zoning codes, they worked with me to ensure minimal impact - giving me the upgraded (fire zone approved) windows at cost! Window Solutions provided excellent customer service with quick follow-up and follow-thru. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly professional and efficient. The price was competitive to put it mildly. My window was high up and required a crane lift to replace and Justin, part of "the crew", actually cleaned my adjacent window! He's the Man!! It took an extra week because of conflicts in our schedules, but I always knew what was going on. Julie gave me choices in the style and price of my shower door and clearly explained the differences.
