I already waited almost two weeks to have someone come out and measure, which probably should have been my first clue, but I was trusting Yelp and all the good reviews. BAD IDEA, Run away! Really Disappointed. We had a total of 22 windows replaced by Windows Solutions late last year. We'd read the good reviews and were very hopeful of good service. However... After a few false-starts ordering the windows the fitting date was arranged. A total of 3 installers came on the first day and rushed through as much of the job as they could. My wife was at home with them all day and I came home to a litany of crooked trim, poor exterior caulking and damage to the sills etc.. and they'd ordered the wrong size window for my sons room. Complained to the company and things progressed at a more sedate pace the next day, however they did break one of the sliding panels and neglect to tell anyone before ducking out for lunch without making it safe and left all the exterior caulking on the upstairs windows unfinished despite the threat of rain the next night. To their credit, Windows Solutions did try to put things right after the initial problems. Jessie (the original foreman) was hauled back to make good some of the exterior caulking and all interior trim etc was finished to a good standard by the time they left. There was still a couple of issues with two of the upstairs windows which they claimed were a manufacturing issue and should be sorted out by Milgard Milgard (an excellent company to work with) came out directly to examine the windows and replaced the damaged slider in my sons room as well as completely re-fitting one of the windows upstairs which was not fitted true by the original installers. read more

Very disappointed in this company. I made an appt for getting something done with a leaky sliding door. The owner came out and immediately stated I needed a new Milgard unit because of sloppy installation. I asked if he could caulk the door until we were given a quote to replace it he stated he did not have the caulking with him but would send somebody tomorrow. That was last week. He didn't show didn't call or email. This is the communication age. Doesn't take much effort. A person called today with a quote for replacement doors. 1800 and 2200 not bad prices but the killer was if you just want to caulk around the slider 200. The last company that did that two years ago I paid 20.00. But even at that it was the fact I will not do business with someone who tells me they will be there and don't show up or call that next day. That is business 101. read more

Keep meaning to write this review...We had our new windows installed in October of 2009. We are SO happy with our new windows and feel we got a great deal. We had all 8 of the windows replaced in our detached condo with double paned vinyl retrofit windows for $2,800. They look beautiful and there is a huge improvement in sound reduction and energy efficiency. We could literally feel the outdoor breeze inside with our old windows closed! We received great customer service, prompt response to our request for a quote, and patient in explaining our window options. I had this huge rectangular hole in the wall in my loft and was trying to figure out how to close it up and make it a bedroom. After shopping around with a number of window companies I found Window Solutions to be competitively priced and not pushy or salesy like all the others. They came and installed that one large window and it looked great. A year later I decided to go with them to replace all the external windows in the house and they did a superb job. Replacement windows aren't cheap (esp if you have sliding windows) but it was an investment I'm glad I made. Reduced heat, reduced noise, and they look great. After the initial install there was a minor cosmetic issue and they happily came back out to repair it. Overall, customer service was very good and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to replace their windows. The company continues to grow and I'm confident their business will be around for a long time. Choosing which brand window to go with was a tough one. They sell a number of brands but Milgard and Simonton seem to be the preferred ones. I went with Simonton and was very happy with the decision. read more

Window solutions did a fantastic job. Their crew was professional. The job was a big one and ended on a Friday night and the crew, understandably wanted to go home for the weekend, plus it was dark out when they finished. My only complaint and I'll emphasize it is a minor one, is that the clean-up could have been better. But I called them and let them know and they came right our and double cleaned everything. Also, Ive had a couple of mior problems with the windows and they responded better than I could have imagined. One of the problems turned out to be operator error - As in my fault, and the other was a minor snag in a screen, which they replace quickly and at no charge. 4 stars is too low, I'd give them 41/2 to 43/4. If they do for you what they did for us, you'll be happy you used them. Plus their prices were more than fair. read more

I cannot say enough about this company and all of the people who work there. From the initial in home estimate to the install. The estimate was quick and no pressure like every other company that came out. They measured, went over window brands, left quotes for every budget and answered all questions in a quick visit! I was impressed from the first 5 minutes. The windows were ordered and the install was scheduled almost immediately. On install day they were on time and worked quickly. 7 windows done in about 6 hours including the impressive clean up of my house and yard. The windows look beyond amazing and I can't believe the difference in temperature and noise (or lack there of). They were very respectful of my house and family. We ordered new windows for our entire house. This included resizing three of our windows and turning one window into a French door. I was referred to Window Solutions by a co-worker. We decided on the new construction wood clad windows from Millard. If it wasn't for Window Solutions (Namely Bruno and Miguel the installers and Debbie) I don't know how this massive project would have turned out. After a three month wait from order to install date Milgard sent a wrong window for our kitchen. It was the wrong color and not wood clad. Every other window in our house had some type of manafacturing defect causing most of them to need to be replace. As the installation was in progress, the installers Bruno and Miguel kept me informed and relayed all problems to Debbie in the office without delay. All of the problems we encountered were 100% due to Milgard's manafacturing process. Debbie immediately contacted Milgard and within 2 days Milgard representatives were at our house working with Window Solutions to resolve all of the window issues. Debbie was a pleasure to work with. Even though the entire process from order to finish took quite some time she was there every step of the way checking to make sure things were progressing. Debbie went above and beyond and obtained a discount directly from Milgard for us for all of the time delays and issues that were encountered. I would not recommend Milgard wood clad windows. Though our windows turned out beautiful, if we had this to do over again we would have gone with the actual wood windows or vinyl. I would absolutely recommend Window Solutions to anyone. We recently had two Milgard French doors and 2 windows installed by another company besides Window Solutions. There were a multitude of issues and the staff at that company did not show immediate interest in resolving them. Therefore when we reached out for a quote on the remaining 10 windows that we wanted to install, we gave them another opportunity to bid, but they did not seem very interested in our business. We decided to research another window installer who handled Milgard replacement windows and came across Window Solutions in Escondido. We spoke to Monica and she told us about the many years they were in business and that they were a family based operation with in-house installers. We were so impressed with her that we decided to go with them for the remaining 10 windows. We received a special discount through Milgard for the previous company we used and Window Solutions even matched the pricing for us. We had the windows installed last week and there were two windows and one screen which had an issue .Monica immediately addressed the problems for us and scheduled a replacement date. We are so impressed with the service they offered us and the professionalism of their installers, that we are referring them to our neighbor who wants to replace her windows later this year. I was in search of a door handle for my frame less shower door. After searching the internet, I found Window Solutions. I walked in and showed Sylvia a picture of the door, and she went to the back and provided me the correct handle. Surprisingly, when she told me the price ($10) I was delighted because other vendors wanted approximately $15 for the same handle. They are local and sell to the public. I have used this company three times in the past year: twice for my own home and once for my rental. I like Window Solutions for the following reasons: 1) Arrive for appointment on time. 2) Clear and easy to understand quote. Each window has clear specificaitons for the manufacturer, materila, performance, and price. I had a quote from another company which only specified the number of windows & price with no other information in it. You have no idea what kind of windows you will get from those guys. 3) Only requires a small deposit of 10%, versus 50% of many other companies would ask for. 4) High quality work done by a professional crew. All my windows (50+ total) are nicely installed with no leaks from the last rain storm. I also asked them to install a sliding door to the backyard. The crew put a very nice looking frame and picked out wood material that matched my floor. I highly reocmmend this company. We did our homework and shopped around and after several quotes decided on Window Solutions. As a COSTCO member we were able to get special pricing on this install. We ended up buying the Milgard Tuscan line with low E glass. It has grid pattern or French pane style so looks really nice. Working with Window Solutions was pretty simple. We ended up installing 16 windows and one patio door. This was a two day install and the guys were on time and worked well together. I was able to observe their quality and workmanship throughout the day. They picked up after themselves and did a good clean of the areas they had worked. They made sure each window operated properly and wiped the glass inside and out before they departed. Justin, Mike, Billy and Jake did a great job and really seemed to care about the quality of their work. Whenever I pointed something out or asked a question they were quick to fix or help. After replacing the old windows which were the standard single pane with no sun or heat protection, a significant difference was made!! As the sun moved around the sky during the day, our south and west side would get baked. The sun/heat and especially the street noise have been greatly reduced and the windows look great!! The new patio door has made a huge improvement in our kitchen area and overall interior look. I don't have really any negative comments to add, just an overall good experience. I like the fact that Milgard windows are made in the Temecula area and Window Solution guys are based out of El Cajon. I have read some of the comments in Yelp and appear Milgard provides good customer support based on some of the comments I have read. I would say our best investment so far to our house. Visited Window Solutions yesterday for a door seal on my shower. New just what I needed and sent me on my way. Well, we all know how that goes-did not fit. Removed the part from the shower door and went back for additional help. David took the part into their workshop and returned a few minutes later. Not only had they replaced my seal, they cleaned up the part and added two sided tape to help hold it in place. Also suggested putting a thin coat of silicon where they came together on the door. They went way above and beyond with there customer service. These people are very friendly and just great. Wouldn't take one penny from me for what they had done. Sure made my day. I visited Windows Solutions and spoke with Sarah. I told her about my windows and HOA guidelines. She was able to show me two different brands of windows. I emailed measurements over to her and she was able to provide me a quick quote for both brands of windows. A technician came out the same week and measured all eleven windows. I was very surprised that my measurements came close to his. Sarah was able to work with my budget. So I scheduled my window installation for two dates since I have upstairs and downstairs windows. The technicians arrived on time and finished installing within a 4 hour timeframe. The also cleaned up as well. Before installation, you are required to remove the blinds and brackets. I wasn't sure how to accomplish this task but Sarah sent me over a link to a You Tube video which showed me how and it was a tremendous help. I will check back in after my second install. read more

I found Windows Solutions via the Milgard website. However, when we went to their showroom, Dusty also showed us the Simonton windows and we decided to go with them because they had more/better features for the same price as Milgard. The installers did a great job replacing our 75-year old windows (5 windows were replaced in less than 4 hours). The windows themselves are even nicer than we expected. While we thought we might run into problems during install due to the age of the house, everything went well and we couldn't be happier! read more

We needed replacement of dual-pane broken glass in a stationary patio door, in a door ensemble that they originally installed 8 years ago. They took a long time to schedule, and it turned out to be the wrong type of glass (lets in much more heat than the original). They charged us $534 for the replacement, and when we discovered the mistake, we called them to fix it. They stalled for a few weeks, then sent out one person who verified that it wasn't the same quality, specifically the low E feature. They dragged their feet for another few weeks and then sent out another expert that determined that the glass did have low E but that it was on the 'inside' rather than the outside of the glass, and therefore lower efficiency. The co-owner, Debi, told us that their replacement paperwork stated that they couldn't guarantee an 'exact match' and so they weren't going to do anything for us. We pointed out that 'exact match' doesn't translate to 'lower quality' or 'downgrade' but she refused to make the situation right. We were going to use this company for a full-house window replacement job while this issue was unfolding, but cancelled and went elsewhere because this experience made us realize that they aren't reliable and their business model isn't honorable. Also, not very intelligent, since correcting their mistake would not have cost them much, would have earned them our good will and possibly an $8000 window job. read more

When I moved into my rental property the owners arranged for new windows to be installed. So I have little knowledge of cost or ordering windows from this company. (but being a rental I doubt the owners would want to drop big $ on windows, they must have done their research and found a good price) I can however say that the install was done in a timely manor (while I was moving in) the installers where very clean and efficient in their work. I love the windows and have had zero issues w/ them. The owners of the the home are equally pleased and have added value to their rental property! When I buy a house I will call Window Solutions for my window needs no doubt! read more

I had one window that the seal was broken and was all fogged up and another that was broken by my picnic table umbrella down after I forgot to put it down before a storm. Joseph was sent out to evaluate my problems and give me a free estimate. As soon as he looked at them he said, "You don't need new windows. Just call a glass company instead. You'll save a lot of money." No bullshit. He was just a real nice guy who didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. Totally off topic, he actually told me how I can get my house re-financed without paying closing costs, appraisal fees, etc.. The locking mechanism of one of our Milgard sliding glass doors broke. Milgard has a life-time warranty on their doors and windows, so we called Milgard to come out and fix it. The Milgard company referred us to Window Solutions to fix the problem. So, we called Window Solutions, who came out, diagnosed the problem, and determined the specifications for the Milgard parts that would be needed. In addition, their technician observed that the locking mechanisms on two of our non-Milgard window screens were broken and needed to be replaced. The Windows Solutions technician charged us their normal $125 charge. Having to pay $125 seemed strange to us, given that the Milgard door was under warranty. So, next day, I called Window Solutions and asked why we had to pay $125 for a problem that was supposedly covered by warranty. Windows Solutions said they don't do warranty work for Milgard, and therefore were unaware that there was a warranty issue involved. Turns out, it was Milgard's mistake. Milgard apparently had not believed us when we told them that our sliding glass door was still under warranty. What Milgard should have done was send a Milgard technician to our house. Milgard should not have told us to contact Window Solutions. Window Solutions was an innocent party in this matter. Yet, here is what they did: 1. They tore up my $125 check. 2. They contacted Milgard for us to explain the problem. 3. They provided Milgard with the specifications for the parts that were needed. 4. They informed me that Milgard will fulfill their warranty obligation, and that if Milgard does not contact me within three days to call them back and they will follow up and see to it that our problem is resolved. 5. In addition, for no charge, they are sending us parts needed to repair the locking mechanisms on the non-Milgard window screens. read more

When it was time to order our windows, Dave (the owner) came out for the final measurements. After placing our order, the windows were installed in 2 weeks. These folks are the best! I thought I had a square mirror to replace, but when measured, the walls were uneven.
