The service was initiated on Yelp, Easy Open Door Company and few other companies sent me a quote. EOD was the second company that responded to the property address I requested. The company communicated with my tenant without an issue. Unlike the first company who offered free consultation, EOD was upfront and honest. HONESTY is the keyword. The first company quoted me $900 by up selling me the repair with replacement of other parts. I thought it was way too much, then I sent the pics to EOD, Sherrie and Michele were upfront and honest, and explained that I don't need those parts, and even I did, it wouldn't cost that much. The first company then started lowering his price to 800, then 650. At this point, it was a total turn off. I decided to go with EOD. They got the door repaired with broken springs for a very reasonable price and inspected other components too. My tenant was happy. And so was I! Our spring broke on our garage door and we needed a new bracket. They came out to fix it and charged us $1025 to fix it when they left they didn't balance it and our garage door opener wouldn't work so when we called them back to come and fix it correctly, he blamed it on us that our garage door was too heavy. So now our garage door still doesn't open and we're out 1025. Yes, they put a new spring on it and a new bracket but when we go to use our garage door opener, it won't work because they didn't balance it so we're back to square one thanks to them when asked if they guarantee their work obviously they don't. We had a friend tell us that their spring broke and they were charged $125 wow, we were obviously totally ripped off. Do not use this company. They state they're family owned, but obviously they don't know what they're doing. read more

We needed to add some weatherstrip along the garage door and sent request for a quote to multiple companies through Yelp. Only Easy Open Door company provided a quote without needing to send over a tech. Their price was the lowest and reasonable compared to other quotes. They worked with me to choose what color of the molding that matches the door. The tech they sent over did a great job installing the weatherstrips and was able to figure out how to install in one area that was missing part of the wooden frame. As part of their service fee, he also checked the garage door moving parts, replaced a few broken hinges (for minimal extra cost for the part) and added some lubricant to make the door less squeaky. Called to get my unit looked at and they claimed my logic board was bad. came out to replace it and found out it didn't work then put the old logic board in without properly reconnecting wires. Now they expect me to pay again to have him come out to fix what he didn't finish. And why give a 4 hour window on a work week and just pop up like the homeowners are unemployed...people work during the week... Also, customer service lady stopped helping when trying to resolve the issue of the units that they sold us and installed. I don't think they properly diagnose any repairs. read more

My 15year old garage door, was making extremely loud noise every time I opened and closed it....so loud, I imagine the neighbors could here it. In years prior I would lube it with white lithium and it would solve the problem, but this time around no dice. Thanks to Yelpers I called Easy Open, and the technician who came out said that it wasn't the door nor the tracks making the noise, but that it was coming from my 20 year old garage door opener itself (i.e. the motor, which was 5 years older than the door)...the echoes of the garage made it hard for my ear to tell where the noise was coming from, but as I found online "determine whether it is coming from the door or the opener. Disengage the opener from the door and then open and close the door manually. If you don't hear the noise when doing this, the opener is the source of the noise." They gave me a choice of LiftMasters, and I went with the belt drive with LED lighting. They did a great job of removing the old one and putting in the new one. That was nearly 6 months ago and we couldn't be happier with the sound of silence (also, the built-in MyQ to receive Amazon deliveries is great). Thank you Easy Open. read more
