Really good service. He knew what he was doing, explained everything clearly, explained my options. Definitely recommend.

Javy, service tech, came to service my garage door. He was very informative about all the working parts n how they all needed to work smoothly together. He found n showed me some cracked hinges, that needed replacing before they broke. He also pointed out how worn (and some cracked) rollers. He also pointed out that the ball bearing rollers were wearing out n he could see some sharp edges on them. He did say they could wait till next year, but I went ahead n had them done. He had all the work done in about an hour! He was very professional and a plus to Precision read more

this company is disgusting. I do not recommend doing business with this company. They scammed my friend's mother, and when it came time to finish the job, the motor they were trying to give her was not even the one, the one that he weretrying to install was a fraction of the cost. Be very careful. he got $1000 at the start then claimed he was gonna sell me a $3000 motor for 1000 more after looking up the model number of the motor he brought. I found it on Amazon for 300 bucks. Be very careful. It's not a joke they're scammers. read more

Let me start by saying, we live in the same city as this business and make an effort to support local business. We have reached out to this company on two separate occasions for service ( a garage door repair and a quote for a new automatic gate install) BOTH times my husband has spoken to the receptionist, provided details about our requests, as well as our personal information for someone to call back. BOTH times, we received no further communication from this company and we are done trying. read more

Don't ever go to this company. They are scammers and so rude! The guy, Ben, came to give me a quote for the gate and garage. I went inside the house to check with my husband and he fixed my garage door before I gave him the ok. I paid for the work he did cause I did not want to argue but this guy is beyond rude and charged me $825 to fix the garage door opener. And This is not for a brand new one! This guy is a jerk and made it seem like he was doing me a favor. I literally told him to his face that I'm going somewhere else for the gate because I did not like him. I've never encountered someone so rude and unprofessional. read more

This is my second time using this company. Both times they came on time, and ready to assess the issue. Last year we remodeled our garage, we added tiled floors, along with full wall cabinets. After finishing we called A Garage Door & Gate to install a new 6 panel with windows. What a beautiful door! This past week our 20 year old lift master door opener bit the dust. A Garage Door & Gate to the rescue 48 hour later ! Presto all fixed and a great job! read more

They were on time and beyond professional, I will schedule our service once per year now. We love our entrance gate, and take it for granted because it works regularly without fail, until the one day it didn't! I called for service they arrived immediately and we're amazing! An amazing company that was effecient, clean, fast and proficient!!! read more

We were unable to open our garage door due to broken door springs. I called A Garage Door And Gate store and they had several available appointments for the same day and were very flexible with my availability. Josh Jackson, the service technician, came to my residence at the beginning of the schedule window, was courteous, and provided an explanation for the quote provided. The job took longer than expected due to the age of the residence and low ceiling and space available to work around the springs and door track, yet Josh never complained. My garage door and opener have never looked or operated better!! I appreciate Josh's craftsmanship, attention to detail, patience and willingness to answer my questions as a homeowner! read more

On two separate occasions about a year apart my automatic gate malfunctioned and was thrilled that "A Garage Door & Gate" arrived the next day to trouble shoot and fix the problem. I used this business without getting prices from others because my previous experience with them was very good. I needed the receiving post repaired or replaced and the gate operator serviced. The receptionist that took the call advised me there was a service charge for house calls unless the estimate was sufficient for them to have to return with parts or materials to complete the job. On 12/31/18 Rod comes to the house within the 8 - 9 AM window. He is cleaning out the debris around the post when he stands up and says he has to go to another job. I asked him if he could give me an estimate, and he said it would be about $300. I did not see him looking at the operating mechanism so I asked him if that was the price for everything? He looked bothered by the question and I said I was not going to pay $300 for him to weld the post, I have a welder I use that could do it for less. He said he had to go but he would return later that day. When he returned it was raining and nothing else was done. On 1/2/19 Rod and a helper arrived as I was leaving. I told him the gate opener had not worked since I opened it the morning of 12/31/19 when he first arrived. Rod commented that he was not out there to break it. Later I got a call from Matt that my gate opener needed a new circuit board. I asked Matt about the total estimate for all of the work and he said he would get that for me. The next morning I realized the gate was not movable like it had been and I used a clicker to open it and it worked. No body from the store had said anything to us that it was fixed. Later we realized it was not set right; it would close automatically when ever we used it. We called the store and yes it was done and no, it should not be closing automatically. A technician came out on 1/3/19 and fixed it to where it opened and closed by the clickers or the telephone. As of 1/7/19, I still had not received an estimate and I did get the invoice. At the top of the invoice in the "Description" space it stated: STEVE CALLED AND STATED THE GATE IS HITTING A BOX AND ALSO THE BOTTOM IS WOBBLY. There was annotation about the welding job, a new board and an amount due of $800. Overall poor communications with the customer. read more

I recently had Tim from A Garage Door come out to my condo (where the HOA recently signed them on as our Garage Door Maintenance company for the building I live in). I've had an 8 month issue with getting someone out to look at this problem (all due to my HOA, not the company) of noise and the door banging. I spoke with a few people at the company to make sure they could let me know when a service person would be out and to see what had been done recently. Everyone I spoke to on the phone was very forthcoming and extremely helpful. When Tim showed up, he came upstairs in my condo to hear what I was experiencing. He proceeded to work on the components downstairs, call my phone and asked me if the noise was decreasing. He did this twice during the time he worked on the door. Before he left, I went downstairs to get my FOB and he patiently explained the work he did, also we talked about additional work that he wanted to get approval for, as these were issues left over from the previous company that did the original work. Overall, I'm very happy to write this review! Thank you for getting the door to a level of reasonable noise that living above it is not super frustrating! read more

I called this business to fix my garage door. I called at 8:30 in the morning and took the day of off work because they told me they would send someone out and call me before they left. I highly recommend this company. I would like to give a shout out to Nick! He was knowledgeable and fast. I was sure he was going to have to replace the entire garage door but he did not. I wouldn't have known the difference if he had. This is honesty a relief to know I have found a reputable company who cares about a repair job for a little old lady just as much as a big company job. I just wish I could give them six stars!! read more

First, they did arrive on time. Second, way over-charged for gate batteries, $90 for 2 $15 batteries, charged $80 for a service call and then charged $95 for 1 hour work (he was there for less than an hour) and $9 for squirting some oil on the mechanism. The gate did work after he left. read more
