They also followed up after the job and coordinated with an Anlin technician to fix a few minor issues. And they worked well alongside other contractors I had on-site, which made things much easier. Would hire again, well run professional company that aims to please and do good business. They replaced windows (required all new construction), fixed major stucco damage and painted. My house is transformed and very happy with results, many compliments from neighbors. My pest control guy thought he came to the wrong house at first, it looked so different! An incredible experience from beginning to end!We got several quotes for 1957 home remodel. Ultimately we decided on a complete demo of wood exterior, new insulation, stucco application, fascia replacement, and all new windows and exterior doors. A complete exterior renovation. In addition, we had one large, multi-paned unusual window that we wanted replaced. They came over several times to look at it and discussed several options. We've had our new windows in place for a week now and the difference is striking. It's so much easier to control the temperature inside the house, and it's SO much quieter. The screens actually stay closed when we close them! It's so great! I am really glad we chose to go to Approved Contractor. Even in these times of supply chain disruptions and delays, they communicated with us throughout and let us know that we hadn't been forgotten. The only complaint I have is that when the windows arrived they scheduled us immediately with very little warning, so we didn't have enough time to move furniture around or plan meals around the house being a mess for a few days. I wanted I preface my review with the fact that we ultimately did not work with this company and want to warn other families who may have experienced a similar negative encounter with ACI or are seeing similar red flags. August 2021 - we invited a salesman Mike to our home to discuss a back patio door. Sept 2021 - contracts signed for the replacement of back patio door, 5 large windows and possible future work for stucco. Why did we choose them? They were certified Anderson window installers and Mike seemed fair and knowledgeable to a certain extent. Measurements were completed and the expectation of install is determined to be in/around Oct-Nov. Oct 2021 - radio silence from ACI so I reach out to inquire about install before the Thanksgiving holidays and before I have family arriving to stay with us. Justin from ACI gives me a 2 sentence response that there are material delays and install is now January of 2022. Close to 5 months after measurements. That was it. No apologies or the same level of customer service BEFORE contracts were signed. Let's be honest here, they knew about the product delays and set dishonest expectations from the beginning. Jan 2022 - They call and want to install and confirm measurements, I let them know I now have two elderly and sick parents at home and need to push the installment of 6 very large products to April. Mind you, I'm asking for more time before I open my home for a massive project. Our family was still very much interested in our Anderson Windows. Even the stucco repair and coating is something we want to pursue but was always indicated to be 3-4 months after windows. Justin (marketing?) Jared the CEO, and Mike (sales) all attempt to give me grief about my family situation and expect me to be bullied into installing when it's convenient for them. The CEO himself tried to yell at me on a call and I found that hilarious. Contractors absolutely fail to realize the level of liability we all carry as homeowners when we open our home, savings and family to construction. I believe I witnessed ACI attempt to make excuses for work they later realized was more involved in installing windows, and still attempted to bully us into installing right away. Zero empathy for what a 5 month delay on their suppliers end and to top it all off began stretching the truth. Ultimately after 8 months of unnecessary back and forth with their completely incompetent & dishonest attorney from Florida (which was odd) I purchase the Anderson windows/materials outright from the supplier (ACI is just buying it from another dealer) and find a respectable, honest and truly family contractor who is also Anderson certified to complete our beautiful home remodel. To this day, ACI refuses to return our deposit making a justification that they "worked". They did not but hey, business must be terrible. Keep it, seems like Jared needs it for classes in manners and professionalism. Lesson learned here - you may only see positive reviews because ACI like some shady companies attempt to lie about material delivery, strong arm homeowners into inconvenient and dishonest transactions but more importantly, they use scare tactics and a lawyer to manipulate the circumstances as if that would ever work in construction law. The greatest satisfaction I had in all this was working with a good attorney to push back with unruly and unprofessional contractors like Jared Green and Justin Charney. Goodbye and good riddens! No matter how you twist the circumstances - we came out on top and as honest hardworking people, I never had any doubt that we would. I really thought long and hard about the rating I was giving , but then I felt others should know this, just by reading all the reviews here I'm sure all the clients are happy with the results and I'm not judging, pictures speaks for themselves. It's the practice of honesty I question, trust me I'm not a grunted customer or anything like that. I meet Justin and explain the project I was trying to complete, he gave me a fair estimate at that time, and a permit wasn't a requirement to do this job , but after reviewing all the estimates I received, we decided just to shelve the project. Now out of all the compaines I saw, Justin was the only one that followed up with me, and I just told him I wasn't happy, he asked to meet up and I said ok give them another shot. Justin and his partner came by and I went over what I was looking for again, this time Justin told me that I would need to get a work permit to do this project, for the travel back and forth it would cost me $160.00 plus the cost of the permit, why pay someone $160.00 when I could do it myself. I also needed a Window, he gave me a price, I told Justin that I need to look into this. And I am glad I did, the places that I went to did say he gave me a good deal on the window, but one thing I like when I walk through Homedepot and Lowes is you just never know who you would run into. I ran into two home inspector who overheard me explain my project and informed me about the permit. I was informed that because I wasn't extending my project that I didn't need a permit, it's like changing your carpet to wood flooring, all I was doing was changing cover, I received both business card just for further references in case if I get hustle like I did by Approved Contractor. I went to work that Monday and share the news with my co-workers and to be wow, one of my co-worker live next to a home inspector, I got his number and he told me the same thing as the other two home inspectors did. I called and informed Approved Contractors I will not be using there services. Again as I stated before I'm not a grunted client, I was lead to believed that I needed something when I didn't, were is the morals, the action of Justin was improper, what I am saying is follow up regardless how many times it take to get a fair price, another point, I asked for a final numbers but Justin but he didn't want to give it to me. After the windows were completed, they came in and did it all in about 7 hours, including the removal and hauling of the old windows. They used contractor style caulking and made it look awesome. This is a fantastic company and I would highly recommend them to anyone that is planning on doing an exterior makeover. First off, the owner (Justin) was always very responsive via text or phone if I had any questions or concerns about the job. Jesus was the project coordinator and he had some excellent ideas and recommendations to really make my house look amazing. The window and door installers John and Preston were amazing and did a great job installing my windows and two doors. With the front door being a challenge and needing extra attention, it came out perfect!!!! Marcos and the team were the hands on guys, patching, priming and painting the house.
