I have had a very positive experience working with skylight pros. When Mannie and Carlton originally came over to check out my home I had a particular idea for skylights. However they were able to suggest a design that is far superior and allowed the structure of the roof to stay the same. Later during installation, Luis, Joey, and the others were great to work with. They were professional, courteous, and all around good company even with the temperatures in the 90s! They took their time programming the skylights at the end and consistently more thoughtful about all of their work the whole way through. This is a great company who has a strong connection to the market leader Velux. So if you are consider considering skylight definitely reach out to these guys. In addition to the four master bedroom skylights I also had a replacement skylight in the master bath which now is the type that opens and closes automatically. This was a huge upgrade over what was existing and I chose it on their suggestion which I much appreciated. After suffering a week long heat wave I looked around the townhouse to find where the heat was getting in. One source was my Vellux skylight. The skylight was a dual pane Low-E 3 argon gas filled unit which was rated to keep 80% of the sun's heat out. Standing under the skylight in summer with direct sunlight coming through that seemed accurate but that 20% was warming up the hallway. Taking a look at the Velux website I discovered they had blackout blinds. I purchased and had them installed by Skylight Pros. They are solar powered and allow you to control the amount of shade you want. I have plants in the hallway so the shades are open unless it's a really hot day. With the blackout blinds closed I no longer feel any heat from the skylight. As a side benefit I close the blackout blinds at night during the winter so the cold doesn't get in. Skylight Pro's did a great job with the install. Blinds look great and are working perfectly. Going forward it looks like I'll be replacing all the windows and patio doors with Low-E 3 argon gas filled units and pairing them with blackout blinds or sunshields to live comfortably without using the heater or AC. Everything went well. Firstly, I on Tuesday I discovered baby termites in my bathroom. I called my termite contractor who came and proudly acclaimed it's your skylights (I have two in bathroom area). They sprayed around skylight and departed. Next day I went to gym returned to find the babies are back. My husband was searching for skylight replacement contractors. God was watching as the first one we called was Skylight. Not only did a person answer the call but it was THE person I needed. Carlton and Maria worked with me as our renovation evolved, and I had to change my plan several times. When they came out for the installation, one of the tubes could not be put into its designated spot because tubes can't sit in a vaulted ceiling; Carlton helped me change the plan while the crew were at the house, swapping a small skylight for the solar tube with only a small increase in cost (a few hundred dollars) and no additional charges despite the workers having to go back to the factory to swap out the products. The tubes and small skylight bring tremendous light into our few dark spaces (a couple of bathrooms and my wife's walk-in closet), and the natural light really elevates those spaces. The look is beautiful, the price is great, the sales, service, and tech teams are responsive, helpful, and friendly. Five star experience. read more

Skylight Pros did an excellent job replacing two side-by-side skylights with a single ventilating skylight. The installation included replacing the interior wood framing to match the existing wood panel ceiling; the results are quite good. We also added 3 new skylights & replaced an existing one, requiring building curbs. As we also had the asphalt roof replaced with SSMR, Skylight Pros worked with the roofers to match schedules. This hadn't occurred to me, and was not part of the quote, but all skylight attic framing includes insulation. Much appreciated, difficult with a low sloping roof. read more

Love our new two new skylights and solar tube. The team at Skylight Pros did a great job. They came when scheduled, minimized the mess, and the skylights look great. As we just installed them in May, we haven't gone through a rainy season yet but I'm sure they will take care of any issues if they arise. Had a bit of communication issue at the end after the install but they came through with their commitments. Be aware that drywall is included but only rough mudding. If you have exposed trusses like we do, it takes quite a bit of work to get everything looking good. So either budget time for yourself or budget money for a painter. Although it took a few weeks for them to get me on their schedule for just a service call, it was well worth the wait. Kevin ended up coming out on Saturday of a holiday weekend, to check out my problem. Once he realized it turned out to be an easy fix, he kindly did the repair as a courtesy , cleaned the glass while on the roof and even removed some old nails the roofers left years ago .
