Brought my daughter in to get a contact lens prescription/box of contacts and somehow we walked out…read morewith glasses that were $300 extra dollars for all the lens treatments in addition to the $200 frames and no contact lens prescription nor contact lens order. Now, as I try to get a copy of her prescription so that I can actually get contacts for her, they refuse to give me this information. First, the local store where we had our appointment, has literally hung up on me 7 times when I've called over the last few weeks to find out why our contacts were never ordered. Then, when I finally did get someone on the phone he was uninterested in helping. Said he could only fax that info. Then he suddenly said he could only fax or mail the prescription, so I asked to have it mailed and he asked for my daughter's name and then said he'd call me back, without asking for my phone number or taking down my mailing address. I feel very sure I won't get a call back. Getting online to chat with a "human" from LensCrafters was no better. "Alexia" said she can't help me and disconnected the chat before I could respond. They reference a federal guideline not allowing them to give me this information, but if this is true, how are they going to charge me $100 for a contact lens exam and not give me the results at the time of the exam? How am I supposed to care for my child and make sure she can see, if I'm not allowed to know the exact degree of her vision deficiencies? I will never go to LensCrafters again and I will make sure all of my friends know how awful our expereince has been.

I went there because I got an Amazon deal and they BENT. OVER. BACKWARDS for me. Part of the deal was to get a pair of glasses. I didn't like any of the frames they had (they were all lovely frames I am just difficult). So they let me pick out a pair of frames from a different website, flew them in and put my prescription in for me. That is just... amazing. Their customer service is unparalleled. The Doc there is very good too. She is fast, efficient and thorough. If you value great customer service and comprehensive eye care, this is your place.

Jeffery had me laughing the whole time while giving me the rundown of what was going wrong and well with my eyes all while making me feel at ease. Then it was time to pick out frames where I was helped almost immediately and picked out the perfect pair. Kim went over all the things with me and had me feeling like I made the right choice. I'd recommend anyone to come in and experience what I went through today which was top notch customer service, lively conversations and the confidence that you leave knowing you got everything you asked for. I work in a rock quarry so I got the scratch resistant lenses and the kind that transition to sunglasses. I also made sure to also get the extended 100% coverage or insurance that they offer ....for a fee. Within a week they had started to fall apart and were so scratched that they were impossible to see thru. I believe this should have been covered under the manufactures warranty since it happend so soon but it wasnt. I took them into the store and they were very rude for starters. Then they were trying to get out of repairing and/or replacing them. After arguing with them they finally agreed to replace them. They went in the back and came out with a fresh pair. I tried them on and couldn't see anything. They said they weren't going to cover the lenses because they weren't damaged. "Ummm, excuse me." They weren't a little scratched. You literally couldn't see thru them at all. After arguing them again for another hour, they finally agreed to cover them as well. I had to wait about a week to get the new lenses. When I got them I left and the next day at work I realized they were NOT changing to sunglasses or scratch resistant. Wow so I just get the cheapest lenses. Awesome. Wow so they made me argue with them for hours to actually get them to let me use the insurance that I had paid for (Fun Fact: the insurance used to be free at Walmart not so long ago) They refused to replace them with the correct lenses. Recently I decided to get glasses off of an app that sells the same glasses that walmart. Only difference is that if walmart charges $400 for them, the app probably only charges $48 or something like that. I had to ask Walmart for a copy of my vision prescription. They wouldn't text or email it to me or give it to me over the phone or on the Walmartapp. They made me travel back there to get it in person. They gave it to me and when I tried to enter the info on the app, it asked for another set of numbers (the PD numbers... the measurements between your pupils etc....) I called Walmart again. They were very rude and told me they wouldn't give it to me, I'd have to get whomever I am going to get glasses from to figure it out. Huh? I had paid to get all this information from Walmart at my exam but they're holding it hostage basically because I'm doing my business elsewhere. I'd recommend going anywhere but walmart. They have quite a good selection. They have frames from Ray Ban, Tory Burch, other high-end brands, and several off-brand frames. I found a pair I liked that were wire frames (which I'm leaning more towards these days). Several of the expensive brands are locked. so you'll have to ask for assistance. I was pressed for time but will definitely be back, as I've spotted a pair I like. I was greeted when I entered and was told to let them know if I needed assistance. It was a quick exchange, but appreciate the greeting.

She was very knowledgeable and thoroughly explained everything to me. The exam was relatively fast. They have a wide selection of frames and a promotion where if you get a year of contact lenses, you get a free pair of sunglasses. However, there was not much variety in the sunglasses. The only reason I'm giving it four stars is because after my exam, they tried to charge me the full price without my insurance. I don't think it was on purpose, but it was a little concerning to me that they were not aware that my insurance fully covers my exam. It turns out that they were giving me a brand of contact lenses that were not covered by my insurance. I would highly suggest you look at your insurance coverage prior to having your exam here. In the end, however, they did fix the mistake.

After seeing another optical specialist from my health plan, there was a discrepancy about the prescription performed on the glasses I purchased from Levin a year ago. I took them back to the Perry Hall office where they were done originally and explained my concern that the prescription check performed by my optical specialist on my pervious pair did not match what Levin had performed. I was informed by Melanie that there were no issues but she had no problem wanting to schedule me for an eye exam with their optician. I questioned as to WHY I should have another exam even after showing her the recent prescription from my recent optical specialist. After some thought, I agreed to accept the appointment ONLY after it was agreed that I would NOT be charged for the exam via conversational agreement with Melanie. After more though about the scheduled appointment, I later contacted the main office and spoke to Nicole, was referred to Gabrielle at the Harford Road office and explained the matter. I was asked to come in and my glasses were checked by David who was gracious to show me how the prescription was determined. Then, it was suggested by David that I schedule an appointment with their office(Parkville) and be seen by their specialist House on 4/25/22. I stated to both David and Gabrielle that I was already scheduled for an appointment at the Perry Hall office and that I would not be charged. David stated that in other words "he would honor that request'. I do not recall ever speaking to Gabriele about arrangements for making a claim with my Eye Plan for the appointment because I ONLY spoke to David about it at that point. On 4/25/22 I had the appointment with specialist House, thanked Gabrielle and David for being so kind and working with my issue. David also suggested that I'd come to the Parkville office for now on if it's not a problem going forward. With enthusiasm I said 'yes'. 5/2/22: I was notified by my Eye Plan via email that a claim was made by Levin for the 4/25/22 appointment. I then called the Parkville office and was explaining to Gabrielle about what was discussed about the appointment and why a claim was performed by their office. Before I could finish discussing my issue, Gabrielle accused me of not letting her explain why and 'she also stated that "I hurt her feelings, because they were trying their best to assist me". Before I said my last words, Gabrielle continued to say "If I don't like it here then I should go somewhere else". I stated that then 'going forward in the future that maybe I should then' because I was not about to get into a shouting match with her. My biggest concern is 2 things: 1. I stated to Gabrielle that IF she had informed me that a claim was being performed and the copay was being waived, then I would not have made the appointment as I stated to Melanie at the Perry Hall office. 2. Horrible experience. Spent a great deal of money on 2 frames and 1 was defective. I asked for some information about my prescription so I could buy an inexpensive pair and they refused to give it to me until I had a discussion with the owner. Won't know how this finally works out until I buy another pair of glasses so they can send the defective pair back.
